Numbani is Lucio heaven, this map gives you alll the movement options, since the walls are huge and not far inbetween for skilled Lucio players essentially become arial supports jumping from wall to wall without ever needing to come down
I love the in depth view! Thanks for that. It's definitely nice to get all the details including possible risky flanks like the Tracer going over the gap one.
About the point your are making about the point at the 8:45 point of the video, you can get around the building with Lucio. It's not as easy as it is with Pharah but with good management of slide/jump/slide. You can manage to get around.
I had a 6 Hanzo game the other day on Numbani. We were doing really well until we get to the first Checkpoint. We were getting taken out by flanking Tracer and Reaper and a Junkrat on crack. Then came the ultimates. Waka Teki Kangaroo 12 spinning dragons devour the entire area and we push the payload as far as we could. We still lost, but 10/10 would summon Shenron again.
I love this map just hearing or reading or thinking of the word Numbani for some reason makes me feel better. Love the vid and great breakdown of the map!
A good Torb Spot is right ahead of the Payload actually, Where the attackers come from. Since you can only get to it by going around Twards the payload and into that little area. But since there are 2 doors and no real wall except for the wall between the door ways the turret can take out anyone trying to get to it like that, anyone to the left and right as well as ahead. Only issue i've found is if they just rush it and take it out or use a Ult.
Hey that part you went over where Pharah and others can make it across around 9:20... Lucio CAN make it too wall jumping. It took a few tries in custom game but he can make it :D
These are, if possible, even better than your character guides. Thanks for the great video's man, they've really helped this casual gamer get the most out of Overwatch :)
On the first point there was a Toby turret, Bastion and a Hardt all on the payload. The only counter I thought to it was Junkrat which is weird because he does defend well but he can attack perfectly depending on the map. On the left you can get a over look of the payload, defenders don't hang around up there to much unless its a reaper. So I would break line of sight, just at the door of the hallway then I would fire out and over the floor, onto the cart where they where all set up. Hardt aimed his shield at me but I kept shooting, even Bastion was firing and trying to hit me but he just could not due to the angle. Then when my team pushed up the main way, Hardt's shield was weakened, their Bastion was distracted and takes a moment to aim on them and after enough time when he shield broke we cleared and took the point. The mine here and there helps knock Hardt around and the perfect defensive spot was counted by a defensive hero on attack. Just because they have roles that may not be good for what you want to do with them you have to understand how to make them effective in what you are doing. Jackrat is perfect when the team has a lot of people in one spot, refusing to move form it and you can get close yet out of line of sight.
Nice advice. My clan actually plays closer to the objective since players at our skill level are very good at flying past defense walls and chill at the check point. Tracer Genji Diva Etc
This may get outdated since I can already see its flaws but in the current state of the game my first hold is quite different. I usually play Reinhardt on first defense and I often queue with friends so we can have proper strats. So what we usually do is we almost entirely skip the forward hold by the bus, it has the lower ground, the angles are awkward and it leaves us worried about backcaps. Instead I as a Reinhardt hold on the point itself, to the right of the payload. I keep the shield facing towards the main street most of the time and every now and then I check that side hallway (with the Chancellor Hotel Desk), right now that path is very popular and very weak to fire strikes and charges. Then there's also the path completely at the side (by the cliff), in that case I need team mates to call enemies coming from there and I'll just point my shield that way for a while. The weakness of that position is people coming from up top and now that I think about it just in theory it doesn't feel all that convincing, but we actually haven't given up Numbani first in long time
What's odd about Numbani is that it's just a cluster of skyscrapers with no smaller buildings surrounding them. That's now how large cities in the real word look like.
Thank you for taking the time and effort putting this together - I love your guides. I think the new format with separate attack and defense works really well. Will you be making more? It would be so awesome if you could do one for each of the maps.
That was great, are you going to redo the other maps in this style as well? I love these guides while I'm still getting familiar with the maps, so the more the merrier! One thing I would find useful as well would be a short mention of each defender/forward spawn point and when they are triggered. I know it's embarrassing but I find that in game I usually rush out of them so quickly that I kind of forget where the spawn points even are.
Reason why genji is so good on attack here is because you can sneak to the capture point forcing everyone to go back, if nobody noticed you, you can get it to 2/3 of the circle before anyone can respond
Was just playing on this map - my team was attacking and we couldn't even reach the point, got held up at the last corner before the point, around that bus.
This is my favorite map Generally because of all the routes I can take and flank the enemy team. If I'm on the defense then I just play torbjorn and stay on point.
Wow that is like 2 different games, ehm well what do you like the most? Also did you get the chance to play OW open beta? If so and you liked OW there, well that was a demo, it is just like the beta was.
You can do that flank with tracer, genji, pharah, dva questionable with junkrat I think someone better with him might be able to do it possibly Winston depending on your skill with him lucio and mercy if another teammate has also crossed I believe the last one was unable to attempt because I have no friends 😢
You don't have to turn on skirmish, just don't add any other players and the match won't actually start. So basically a custom game, no players/bots on either side, and move yourself into spectator.
How viable might it be for a defending player to trap that exposed balcony between the enemy spawn and the point? Getting up there with, say, Junkrat's mine and laying down his snap-trap.
Nice video, a bit overwhelming though, not really gonna help if you watch it before actually playing, I feel. I didn't mind the "all-in-one" style in the other guides where everything is said in one sweep of the map. I think I prefer it actually.
I didn't end up watching the video (will in a bit), but using top view maps with the health pack locations, lanes of fire etc. would be really handy. You could also keep marking where you are talking about on the map to help ilustrate what you are talking about, and where you are on the map in relation to other stuff. Would be a fair bit more work in the editing department, but could be quite useful.
I'd love to see more of these. The presentation was a bit erratic, so maybe work on laying out the strategies more smoothly. But overall, it was great and very informative.
Hey Stylosa... here's an idea. I would really love playing with you like... obey what you do, pull of some strategy that you have. AND ALSO, I'm sure not just me wants this. Why don't you summon a team of subs to play with you a game per... week or month. It could be a cool series for your channel. I'LL GO IN THE FIRST EPISODE BECAUSE IT WAS MY IDEA!!! lol Keep up the great videos! Watch you every day. GL!
I that jump and it is possible with Genji, Tracer, D.Va, Lú;cio and -a bit tricky but still possible- with Winston- you just have to use leftshift after jumping of the edge. And obviously with Pharah and with her help Mercy as well.
Great guide. Sty talked about which door to come out of on attack. I want to add that you shouldn't cluster near the door where the defenders can see you through the windows. If you do, even the best exit can turn into a horrorshow. Here's what can happen on Numbani when Junkrat sees you coming: vid.me/fjLN Same goes for defenders: don't show your cards until it's time to play them.
To have fun in a multiplayer game you need to do well, that's what I think anyway. If you do well then it's great, but if you perform badly, or even worse, consistently bad then it becomes very frustrating. Many times I have given up playing multiplayer unless it is a co-op game. I enjoy being able to play against A.I because I can choose if I want to have a relaxing session against an easy A.I or increase the difficulty for a challenge. I am also very happy when games have an alternative to online multiplayer where you can play against 'bots', choosing the amount of enemies and teammates and their difficulty, as well as being able to bring friends in as well. The first time I saw this was in Call of Duty: black ops. So how does this relate to overwatch? It is a multiplayer game only, but it does have a 'training mode' where you can play against A.I of your chosen difficulty and bring other players in. Therefore I am pleased with overwatch. I hope you don't just ignore this, thanks for reading.
Numbani is Lucio heaven, this map gives you alll the movement options, since the walls are huge and not far inbetween for skilled Lucio players essentially become arial supports jumping from wall to wall without ever needing to come down
LoL how did i manage to not notice HALF the bloody map :/
Do videos on the background details!
that would be awesome!
I love the level of detail presented here. I picked up on several offensive and defensive approaches I wasn't aware of.
The longer you think about the overwatch maps, the more geniously crafted they seam.. :D so polished..
I love the in depth view! Thanks for that. It's definitely nice to get all the details including possible risky flanks like the Tracer going over the gap one.
15:55 - Hanamura? You're on Numbani Sty you pleb! :P
Hehe, I caught that too :)
About the point your are making about the point at the 8:45 point of the video, you can get around the building with Lucio. It's not as easy as it is with Pharah but with good management of slide/jump/slide. You can manage to get around.

PLEASE Hollywood, or link me if it is already done
REALLY great video! Hard to find good content on new games this early, but you nailed it! Thanks
A good Torb Spot is right ahead of the Payload actually, Where the attackers come from. Since you can only get to it by going around Twards the payload and into that little area. love this place for flanking. makes me so happy when the other team has tunnel vision on the middle.
Ah, the famous golden BULL of HANAMURA
Sty you dingus
i prefer these kinds of in depth guides! you should do them for each map, its really thorough and well put
The more of your map guides I watch, the more amazed I get at how much work Blizzard put into making these maps :O
Hey that part you went over where Pharah and others can make it across around 9:20... Lucio CAN make it too wall jumping. It took a few tries in custom game but he can make it :D
I really liked the rough summery at the end of the defence section of the video
These are, if possible, even better than your character guides. Thanks for the great video's man, they've really helped this casual gamer get the most out of Overwatch :)
What you could add to this kind of videos is good locations of Symmetra's TP.
Awesome guides anyway!
These are great! I am really enjoying the detail and am nowhere as overwelmed with the maps as I was during the open beta. - Thanks
5:46 I placed a sentry turret there. The attacking team really had a hard time dealing with it.
On the first point there was a Toby turret, Bastion and a Hardt all on the payload. Great work - Love your videos and guides - Torbjorn turret at the tree at the last defense point worked great for me.
Excellent video. I hope you had guides of this depth for the rest of the maps in the game
8:50 genji can do it if anyone was wondering
This may get outdated since I can already see its flaws but in the current state of the game my first hold is quite different. I usually play Reinhardt on first defense and I often queue with friends so we can have proper strats.

The flanking on the side that you said tracer and pharah could get over, lucio can wall run it and d.va can fly it!
What's odd about Numbani is that it's just a cluster of skyscrapers with no smaller buildings surrounding them. That's now how large cities in the real word look like.

A few more locations for symmetras turrets would of been nice but overall very helpful.
please keep doing these map guides. They are so helpful
Reason why genji is so good on attack here is because you can sneak to the capture point forcing everyone to go back, if nobody noticed you, you can get it to 2/3 of the circle before anyone can respond
Stylosa, great video. I prefer this, more lengthy, format. Keep up the quality content.
Best map breakdown yet... great work.
That high ground at 12:00 can't anyone get there by jumping over the ledge of the balcony?
when you said the thing that tracer can do on attack that pharah can do easily i tried it in a custom got it first try its pretty easy
I thought the left door was the safest too... but there IS a ledge right there lol.
15:57 "This is my favorite point for um hanamura..." Really Sty, cmon man
Was just playing on this map - my team was attacking and we couldn't even reach the point, got held up at the last corner before the point, around that bus.
I just realised at 8:35 the movie poster COULD BE a new hero? It certainly looks like it....
Doomfist is one of the most popular theories of who the new hero's will be behind sombra
This is my favorite map Generally because of all the routes I can take and flank the enemy team. If I'm on the defense then I just play torbjorn and stay on point.
What's the bloody obsession with Hanamura ! this is Mumbani !
+ToggleDRestarT Overwatch or uncharted 4?
I mean of course Uncharted wins in terms of singleplayer :P
Wow that is like 2 different games, ehm well what do you like the most? Also did you get the chance to play OW open beta? If so and you liked OW there, well that was a demo, it is just like the beta was.
Actually, it's Numbani :)
Killin it man, keep up the awesome work
You can also go across the outside with D.va and Lucio.
When you say "activate death eye", nobody gonna know what ability that is. Just say activate high noon :p
You're so bubbly and happy keep it up!
Love these map guides, best videos around. Please do Hollywood next.
Keep up the travel guides - these are great.
It was definitely helpful, I sent it to my "team" and I hope they watch it and learn and enjoy and thanks Sty
yo stylo will you "update" the old tour guides to this kind of style? hope so! keep it going anyway!
You did a very good job. Very informative and your thoughts are always accepted. Do you have the other maps? If not then do them dude
Thanks for the details. Will be putting them to use
Love this map guide, tbh fam. Learned heaps and would love to see more
I love these guides, thanks man!
You can do that flank with tracer, genji, pharah, dva questionable with junkrat I think someone better with him might be able to do it possibly Winston depending on your skill with him lucio and mercy if another teammate has also crossed I believe the last one was unable to attempt because I have no friends 😢
Loved this video. Really informational. A lot of tips for my own good
This is a fucking GREAT guide. Best on RUclips. Keep it up!
How can you check out the map like this? I wanna have time to explore maps alone, but all i get to play are quick matches :)
Make a custom game and join as a spectator.
ohh thanks guys! Good advice right there, i didn't try custom games yet, spectating in them is a real nice trick!
I think you can go to custom games and then play as a spectator
also make sure you turn on skirmish mode otherwise the game will start ticking down. With skirmish on you have 30 mins to explore
I wish all your map guides were this detailed
love your videos man, so helpful.
Really helpful map guide!
on the part that pharah can fly across just was lucio on custom game he can make it easy :P
Awesome vid! please do it for all the maps!
Great guide! Keep them comming!

You're videos are sooo helpful .. Thank you very much
How do you start a custom game without the timer going off?
Was up againts 6 defending bastions here yesterday, everybody grabbed either hanzo or genji and they got wrecked.
The all 1 hero style doesn't work.
I like this map, not as much as some of the others but whenever this map shows up me and my friends are always excited to hear "YA YAOI"
Same here. haha
Can you do a tips and advice for junkrat?
I was level 15 on the beta and I've never played defence on Numbani...
you make me such a better player please do all the maps your the best!!
I'd love to see more of these. The presentation was a bit erratic, so maybe work on laying out the strategies more smoothly. But overall, it was great and very informative.

Keep up the great videos! Watch you every day. GL!
How do you spectate like in the video ?
Loved this guide!
How do you fly around the level like this?
is that spectate with no hud?
Impressive guide!!! Thanks!!
I have to thank you for showing these.
I that jump and it is possible with Genji, Tracer, D.Va, Lú;cio and -a bit tricky but still possible- with Winston- you just have to use leftshift after jumping of the edge. And obviously with Pharah and with her help Mercy as well.
I would like to be able to choose the gamemode. If I want to play like king of the hill sometimes
I love this map
I love playing Roadhog on this map.
I love killing roadhog with mei on this map (;
love playing lucio on this map
I love playing everything i can on this map
I love tracer on any map
Great video, good job, man
11:05 Sure is a weird bull
Great guide. Sty talked about which door to come out of on attack. I want to add that you shouldn't cluster near the door where the defenders can see you through the windows. If you do, even the best exit can turn into a horrorshow.

great video, keep em coming :P
How come I've never played on this map?! It seems so cool!
Finally a guide on the map I hate the most. Now maybe I won't suck as much here.
Does anyone know what happenend to lijang tower and nepal, i dont seem to queue into them. Where they removed or am i just unlucky?
unlucky, I just came off them both
Guess ill have to wait then. Hope i get to play them soon, they where my favorite maps in the beta.
They are definitely still there mate, perhaps you're just getting a tad unlucky
Oddly enough, I've been queuing into them a lot. I just want to play some Anubis...
If i could i would swap i just played like 10 games queued into 1 Nepal (finaly) 5 Temple of anubis, 2 Hanamura and 2 Kings Row
Great guide!
at 10:00 and already i feel like i actually know nothing about this map ^-_-
I hate attacking on this map
