One correction. Brett calls the first shirt a button down (oxford shirt) when in fact its a button up (dress shirt). The difference being a button down requires you to “button down” the collar, it’s a less formal shirt.

It's not that hard. Just look at whats around you before you talk. If something crazy happened, bring that up and have a conversation about it. If you notice something cool about her like unique jewelry or a tattoo, ask her about it. And while you talk just imagine that she's one of your friends. Even if you want things to go further, just pretend you don't to yourself for the time being and it will feel pretty natural
