Love Charlie Berens! I’m from Minnesota donchaknow and moved to Long Beach California in 2019, and the first surprisingly shocking thing I noticed was how hilarious the Midwest accent is to Californians. Just doing a midwestern impression and throwing in a “youbetcha” in my new Long Beach corporate office left people bent over dying laughing. I still don’t understand why they think it’s so funny, but people born in California just love midwesterners making fun of ourselves and the accent just kills them. Has given me a whole different perspective on my midwestern culture and upbringing that made me the weirdo I am today. 🤣

Strange to see this guy called an "influencer." He's a successful standup comedian that tours the country. To me, an "influencer" is someone whose success is confined to social media and who make their money with product placements and endorsements within their social media sphere.

Well, not the entire Midwest. Those of us from the Lower Midwest just sound like these TV personalities. I worked in Long Beach, CA helping out another office of the company I worked for and nobody even noticed I wasn't from Cali.
