@@hazeleditz4594oh if ghost of tsushima is your favoritrite game the try rdr2(red dead redemption 2) it maybe should cange your mind and it might be your favourite game when you play it just dont give up in the story at chapter 2 cuz chapter 3 at first it may seem like a horse riding simulator but it will be so fuckin good at the end

There is only one thing inacurate about this summary and thats Lord Shimura challenging Jin to a duel, Lord Shimura was forced by the Shogun to kill the Ghost because he was decleared a traitor and he did not want to do that, sure he felt betrayed but he wouldnt kill his beloved nephew he treated like a son because of it

And it's not really his uncle kazamasu actually hated shimru after the yarkiwa rebellion
@@2realalways... No he did not. Kazumasa helped Lord Shimura during thenYarikawa rebellion. Matter of fact, it was because of the Sakai clan that they repelled the rebellion.
Kazumasa Sakai's wife and Jin's mother is Shimura's sister. The clans were/are very tight
@@geraltofrivia9719 actually at the end of act 2 when lord shimura sees that jin poisons the mongols, he cared about jin so much he was willing to let jin go as long as he blamed Yuna for what happened.

Jin Sakai is one of my favorite characters! He’s just too awesome

The best.
A particular solider once said, "Ask the people if honor mattered to them." From my perspective Jin used the Samurai Code as more of guidelines to protect his people and home. Like many others in the game, including his biological father. Seeing as being too rigid makes you easily breakable.
I always tried to choose the most conpassionate and/or hoborable responses when given dialogue choices, as i felt it fit Jins character much better. Fighting like a samurai wont work against the mongols, but i always felt like at his core Jin is a pretty hoborable man, so he would strive for more peaceful and co passionate options when he could.
in 1274 the code of "Bushido" which is the Samurai code the game tries to reference, didn't exist... The Samurai back then were also not called Samurai untill much later.

Really excited to see where they’ll go next with Jin. It’s pretty established that he can’t go back as a samurai, so it would be cool if heads to another part of Japan entirely to continue fighting.

Well the invasion of kyushu would be a good place probably. In history the mongols manage to control tsushima and used it as a staging ground for kyushu.
So, I understand the basis of everything, being a relatively true story and all that, but I would have liked a more open story option.
I played the entire game by the Samurai Code. I utilized the Ghost abilities very, *very* little, deciding to keep to the way Jin was raised. Alas, no matter how much you adhere, or how little you use the underhanded tactics and abilities given to you, it's always assumed you've been backstabbing Mongols the whole time.
Itty bitty nitpick, in an otherwise absolutely stellar game. Loved every fucking second.
I really really recommend this game I thought It was gonna be okay because I’ve never tried a samurai game but when I say it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played I mean it, Jin is such a badass is you play him right. It’s an amazing game also the scenery is really awesome
the game was epic and the rain getting heavier as you use ninja tactics was pretty cool, too bad the story doesn't allow you to keep being a samurai and forces you into the tragedy narrative even if you barely use backstabbing

Shimura didn't want to. He was forced to by the Shogun. Shimurua wanted Jin to win.

There could be a sequel to the game due to the fact that the 14th Century Mongol invasion was approximately 7 years long. The next game should have different weapons than just the katana. The kanabo and the Naginata were also used as well. Also, there could be a game created off the Mongolian invasion of Europe 1236 - 1242.

@@BammBamm0313 i feel like the spare ending suits Jin more, he embraces the ghost that way. Also i hu couldn't bring myself to kill lord shimura. And technically spare ending is canon, the va for jin and the director confirmed that
@@hungriemonkie5733 I felt that spare suited Jin a lot more since his whole character arc is about him rejecting his honor to do the right thing, which in this case is letting his family live. But I also like the kill ending, that it's the last honorable thing he does is for his family to still show them that he will never forget his past as a samurai, but he has to move on.

What Jin did completely changes the course of Tsushima history because what made japan what it is today is it’s samurai code and the support of that code from the people the people of Tsushima see someone who oposses the samurai as there leader/saviour meaning they wouldn’t be the same as the rest of Japan now two things could happen Tsushima could be taken over or they would be left by themselves splitting off completely to be a new thing
Imo this is the most amazing games of all time. Nothing beats it.
Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to save your home, the people you love even if you have to abandoned your honor
Shimura’s loyalty to flawed honor is annoying, The Khan literally told Shimura to his face that he knows his code, and how he fights, it should have been very clear that continuing to abide by that code would not work.
It’s a really bittersweet ending. It’s like you’ve won and saved your people but at what cost? You lose your home, all your land, your clan has been disbanded, you have no family and the shogun has branded you a traitor.

The video game was awesome through-and-through one of the best I've seen and played thus far, (next to red dead redemption 2) keep up the good work sucker punch; As far as the character of jin sakai goes I do not consider him a hypocrite or a tratior to honor at all, He continued to show himself to be the most honorable, more so than his uncle due to the fact that he valued innocent lives more than the need to appease the rigid dogma of the bushido code for the sake of his uncle and the shogun, they were facing an enemy that was using their code against them to take over the land and the people and jin saw no other choice but to break away from that in order for his people and his country to survive the murderous onslaught of the mongols, Thus it forced him down a path that he was Initially resistant to but ultimately embraced for the good of everyone Which in turn has made him a beloved living legend among his people as well as tsushima's very own japanese zorro, He may have sacrificed and lost everything because of the harsh choices he was forced to make, but he also gained a whole lot more from his willingness to sacrifice and lose everything for the greater good of all and he for a video game character has my utmost respect for that.
His uncle however is the villain of his own story because he was willing to sacrifice an innocent woman like jin's friend yuna to the shogun and blame the poisoning of the mongols on her; something a man of honor should never do, so I personally don't care about lord shimura's pain, he deserves it and what better way for him to suffer more than to be spared and live with the humiliation of having his own nephew and "son" go on to become a better person and greater legend than him, the shogun and the entire class of the samurai. LONG LIVE THE GHOST!!! 🔥💯😉😁👍
Whilst the game is awesome and the story does the job well enough.
-The cinematography and style of the graphics
-The combat
-And exploration is what buys this game top tier status
-Minus of the game: The samurai didn't have a code of honor, they were honorable but "Bushido" wasn't around untill 200-300 years later. So the whole plot of Shimura being ordered to take out Jin kind makes me cringe, they could've simply made the plot about the choices were gruesome and Shimura would instead of adopting Jin disown him, and time later consider Jins actions so unforgiveable that he choose to take him out on his own accord.

This game is way up there with Red Dead2. Both are such unique and beautifully told stories.
In the tutorial jin states what honor means to him is protecting those he cares about. He never goes against what honor meant to him
