Flipping through Japanese How to Draw Manga Books

- Since I cancelled tonight's Power Hour, I wanted to schedule something fun to make up for it! I'm flipping through some of my favorite Japanese how to draw books! If there's a book that looks interesting, let me know in the comments, and we'll talk about it in depth during a special stream!

The ISBN numbers from the back cover would be VERY useful for anyone who wants to actually order these titles. I find it to be the only simple way I can reliably order J-books as it is an industry standard and doesn't rely on input language.

Ahh yes thank you for the flip throughs! I've been wanting some reference books and I've been scouring cdjapan for them, but they usually only show the cover and I don't want to spend a ton of money on an expensive book + shipping if I don't even know what's in it. I've had the special effects one bookmarked for a while and now I've seen it in this video I think I'll probably get it!

(I recognize one of the illustration tutorials in the SS Illust Making book from a Style School book that was translated into English some years ago. I wonder if those new SS Illust Making Books are "best of" collections from those older books)

Some of thos books are available in german! I recognized the cover illustrations, the first and the koi-girl cover one are nearly 1/1 the same, and theyre worth the money!!! I have the first one 💖

I would like to see more of the cute girl with the clock, rooster and fish because I wanna know the technique they used for the watercolors ( XD I'm really bad at watercoloring and I want to see how to get better)
Thank you for the flip throughs and lists. I'm going to start looking to purchase some of these because, frankly, English-speaking How to Draw Manga books are mostly awful. Christopher Hart still turns up in top search results on Amazon ffs.

Yep! Check the description, there should be links for all books (but one) from retailers with US distribution
