I fished by myself nearly all the time. I wore my stop switch lanyard whenever I was underway, making way. My boat was a 21 Maverick Master Angler. I loved that boat! I lived in Panama City Beach and fished the bays, creeks and the Gulf of Mexico. Anyways an instructor at Sea School told us that most drowning deaths in Florida were of male persons. He said and most of those could be attributed to guys taking a pee and going MOB. I took it to heart and when on the Gulf I always wore my pfd, even in the heat of summer. I also practiced going MOB and being able to get back into the boat. He also told us that anyone that goes on the Gulf of Mexico without a vhf radio was a f in' idiot! I took that to heart as well. 😊 Tightlines, Mike

Yeah I should set a better example. I do have and epirb, vhf and satellite messenger in the boat but yeah if I fall off underway I'm fucked

Also I never pee over the side. Always into a small bucket that I keep on board for that purpose

You're better 'n me. I mostly just peed on the deck and let it go out the scuppers. Good on ya for havin' the epirb. I had heard of one feller who had a line made that floated, that he put in a cleat that he thrower overboard figurin' if he he went MOB he might could grab the line and stay with the boat. Not a bad idea. I never fished the Atlantic but i know the currents in the Gulf are awfully strong. A person in the water and the boat could part ways pretty quickly. I'll quit bothern' ya now. 🤠

Great vid. You always have to be alert on a boat, lots of people simply not playing attention.

Nice video. I would have been happier if it showed you wearing a pfd and using your stop switch lanyard. Us older guys gotta be careful.😉
