LOL, yes this much snow would have shut down some areas for days. In Michigan, it just another crappy day. 😂

Heidi and Rod. I'm sooooo not jealous lol. We moved from Illinois 24 years ago to the South East. I do not miss snow, muck, blizzards, 20 below zero temperatures or shoveling snow, driving in white out conditions and severely icy roads. Or the fact that most employers still expected you to get to work lol.
I haven't touched a snow shovel in 24 years. And if there's even a small hint that we're supposed to get inclement weather, the whole state shuts the blinds, rolls up the sidewalks and shutsdown. Lol.
Illinois is like the second flatest state in the country and the blowing & drifting snow was always just unbelievable.
But.... we are supposed to be dropping down in the low 20's tonight and rest of the week. I'll happily take that and very rare occasion of flurries lol. Than suffer through another harsh winter.
Seriously though, I will be keeping you all in my prayers along with all my family back home.
Another plus to our location is that we are far enough inland that we don't need to evacuate during hurricane season 😊❤. We do however have to dodge very occasional times of tornadoes. But in Illinois, seemed like we spent half the year in the basement 😂😂😂😂.
    Be safe!!!!

Heidi and Rod, Wow! Thanks for this great, informative video! It’s an aspect of managing a garden center that the consumer rarely sees. I appreciate your explanation regarding “real” snow and lake effect snow. Fascinating stuff! The part of the video where you’re driving to the greenhouses reminds me of the weather where I grew up. Everyone had a true respect for the potential danger of driving in a snow storm. We navigated with caution, as you did. Stay safe! Congratulations on 25,000 subscribers!❤🎉 👍
