    Hi Adam cheers for the shout out ;) enjoy your clod build fella , I’d never built one before my gray edition and I loved it despite owning a few built ones previously. Tip I stole from Addams playground make sure you put every single captive nut in gearbox housings if you don’t it requires lots of faffing about. Also if you swap the motors out make sure they are zero timing ones. Anyway look forward to your finished build take care

    Great decesion to buy a Clod. It's very astonishing for me that they don't put an ESC into the kit. Mine had a Tamiya one and the Grey come with a Hobbywing. But you solved it.
    Have a lot fun with the build and run.

    • @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA
      @RCACTIONAUSTRALIA  Год назад +2

      Yeah the newer Kits with the A after the number do t have ESC’s. It’s ok as the kits are cheaper so it all evens out 😎

    The Clod is such a cool kit! It goes together well (just don't forget the one silly nut you have to insert into the gearboxes before closing them up). They are also so much fun to watch them bumble and wobble around when driving them!! An all time classic!

    I built my superclod 15 years ago it’s a class truck, I personally liked the dark colour on the bottom I also added a black bed for the flat bed. Over hear in the Scottish highlands there isn’t many model shops will be keen to see how your esc works. Looking forward to seeing this build. 👌

    Superb! The Cold Buster was my first new in box rc car from Tamiya. End of the 80s it was not easy to get a electronic spead controller for it. I guess oil dampers would make really sense as next upgrade, I for me as a teenager that option was too expensive. I also saw Gavins upgrade, but to be honest for me it's no longer a Clod Buster if everthing but wheels and gearboxes are no longer originally. For hard bashing there are other cars available today...

      Yes I think I’ll enjoy it as is…. Then maybe oil shocks in future
