Honestly while it rips our hearts out & feels like it’s forever damaging our soul think about it, how many people reading this have watched a human loved one dying slowly from so many different diseases & the worst probably being old age itself & all we can do is watch it happen. But w animals we can end their suffering for them & we don’t have to watch them suffer. That’s kind of a final gift we’re able to give them. Bc when we adopt as any responsible person should be we really have to ask ourselves; will I be able to take responsibility for this creature in their end stages & make that final most unselfish decision for both them & ourselves???

I'm far more impressed by celebrities who practice what they preach more than celebrities that just throw a bunch of money at an issue. When you adopt a pet from a shelter, you're giving that animal a second chance at life and being loved. If you simply donate a bunch of money to a shelter or cause, sure some of that money goes to help the shelter but the majority of monetary donations goes to cover over head like taxes, utilities, maintenance, food, veterinary care and staffing. While those costs need to be covered, it does more good for each individual dog to go to a forever home.
