Technically if you really want chronological order you’ll play until the end of metropolis in halo 2, then go play halo 3 odst then go back and finish the rest of halo 2

My first Halo game was actually Halo Wars, so I was technically starting in order
Hell yeah. I started Halo Ce and Halo wars at the same time. Fell in love because of that one bridge scene in Halo Wars
Same! Although my second halo was 4, then Reach, then Halo Wars 2, then master chief collection which I completed all the halos on legendary after a couple of years. I haven't played infinite yet.
It was about to be halo wars but I got halo 3 then halo reach, halo 4, halo 5, etc. yea I was all over the place in that time. Thankfully I watched timeline videos 😂

@@Csalahydn no the glassing of new Mombassa was the covenant invasion of earth to uncover the forerunner structure under the city.
@@Csalahydn halo 3 floodgate over half the continent was glassed to contain the flood but that’s a week or 2 after the halo 2 timeline . Tartarus was killed November 3rd, Johnson’s scene in odst was November 15th, and we assume chief and truth made it back to earth on the 17th
We really have only played around 12 days of the Master Chief's life

Halo 2 was my first introduction to the Halo franchise, and I’ve loved Halo ever since
Halo is my absolute Favorite I played Halo wars and Halo Combat Evolved side by side and fell in love.
CE And 2 are what got me into Halo personally, concocted me to pick up the MCC.
Haven't regretted it

How absolute badass Captain Cutter and the spirit of fire crew is. They dissappear for almost three decades, than shows up out of nowhere with an old ship with half a crew and just starts kicking ass.

I almost forgot that almost all of the events of the original trilogy (and spinoffs) canonically took place within months and even weeks of each other.

Halo Wars is 20 years before REACH. It says it in the opening cutscene. “ 20 years before the Halo Event. “
It's off by one year. The game takes place in early 2531, from February to April of that year. Halo Reach takes place from July to August of 2552. Ensemble Studios were off by one year in the script. Halo 4 is a similar case. It technically takes place five years after Halo 3, but the intro says, "Four years after Halo Event." and Cortana clarifies the game starts "four years, seven months, ten days" after the end of Halo 3.
Honestly this it just surprising me that so much of the first games all took place within a handful of years. Would've figured at least a year between the events of each given how much goes on. Maybe I need to replay them some day

Who personally bought multiple copies of the games so me and my friends could play, or when we had good ol fashion lan parties, yes. Im the problem. Im the one who took a miraculous franchise and fan base, and pandered to a different one doing everything they can but make a good halo game. I still remember waiting for the midnight release of halo 4, i had a wake up john t shirt on and was hyped in line with everyone else outside of gamestop. I just wish that things had been different. With halo, and with a lot of things. So what the did i do? Hope it would be better? Hope it would be what the promised? Hope it would be a decent game but get let down again? Cause thats all i did you arrogant prick.
You’d have to stop half way during halo 2 and switch to ODST since ODST takes place during halo 2 mission

343 would have made a killing if they made a game where you play as different characters throughout the halo timeline. Just imagine playing as:
•A pelican pilot during the New Mombasa fighting
•Sadie from the ODST audio logs
•Johnson during contact harvest
•A group of marines fighting in insurrectionist conflicts
•An elite with a squad of A.I grunts/jackals
•A Shipmaster commanding a fleet
I Feel like a Cool thing that could be added into Halo Infinite would be Playable Covenant. Like Armor Cores but covenant where you can be Elites or jackals or Brutes or Grunts Etc
I knew a lot of people who preferred the elites

2552 was the golden year!
If you want to be technical. Both Spartan Assault and Strike take place in December 2557 at the earliest, and probably before the events of Spartan Ops. This is because while the events are set in 2554 and early 2557, Roland is recapping those events to you and he was created in December 2557 if memory serves me correctly.

Crazy this was a dream of mine to play with my childhood friend. We always played halo games but never in order but unfortunately he passed in 2022 but as they say Spartans never die.

To play the games in chronological order would be amazing but from what ive learned in these comments is to stop halfway through Halo 2 then play Halo 3 ODST then back to halo 2 so thats even more time

I remember playing halo ce for the first time when i was 5-6 shitting my pants it was a scary game back then but i loved it. I couldn’t imagine that it would be this big and this great after all these years. Last halo i played was reach i just love the cinematics of the games these days

Kinda funny how Johnson , Cortana and the Chief didn't even had a time to catch a breath, after they dealt with covenants ship crew members and a parasite outbreak , they must deal with another covie invasion on earth
I have only played halo ce and i loved that game. Ever since i was looking forward to play other halo game but i didn't knew that there exists games of halo beyond halo 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Thanks for letting me know about all games related to this franchise.

Halo 3 Obst and halo 3 play at the same time because if u watch closely when the covenent ships jump u See a little unsc ship which jumps with the covenent ship which at the same moment the chief is on while you as a Odst are dropping thtats why mickes says before the drop "what the hell im supposed to Do with a sniper in a covenent ship"
ODST technically happens between 2 and 3.
The UNSC In Amber Clad is the one seen going with the Covenant Carrier. This happens in Halo 2. Then we get the events of ODST which run in parallel to the events involving the Chief and them. Then we get 3, with Chiefs return to Earth and the following assault on the Ark.
and Spartan Strike is technically simulations of some events during and after the war

Halo 5 was very confusing but i still think gameplay wise wasn’t terrible i want everyone to experience these games on their own and without bias. And i want them to be accepted even if Halo 5 was their favorite
Halo spartan assault is between halo 2 and 4. There is a mission in spartan assault that also happens to be where the convenant slip space on earth in halo 2.
The worst events of halo are most likely halo reach, the more toned down militarized style makes it different, your not playing as master chief but a lesser known spartan as each of your team gets picked off, then you end up just like your team, only one person of your team survives and reach falls despite your efforts to protect it.
I Think that's brilliant story telling. the message is conveyed and shows how powerful the covenant actually was since most of the time you were a "demon" who easily took them out. Feeling the helplessness was a different change of pace.

i don't see how it would be the bad thing. it show a certain reality, like a country during the antiquity like the Gauls ,Greece or Egypt or Britannia which were conquered by the roman empire despite the effort of some strong warriors. cause they were superior in number and tech. personally i loved the gritty style of Reach and i miss it in the other games

When I did a chronological playthrough, I played halo 2 until I got to the arbiter missions, then played through ODST, then switched back to halo 2.

Well this is chronologically in the correct order year wise so halo wars is before reach.
Halo Wars is part of the story and comes far before any of the others, so that's why it's first. It's just not the first part of Chief's story (which technically begins at the end of Reach).

I still cant understand how in halo wars 2 they fought to a stale mate yet atriox is in infinite.
Atriox is a very powerful enemy. More powerful then the covenants leaders.
It was explained in the novel halo shadows of reach, Eschurm and the banshied forces that didn’t go to the ark gathered other factions to join the banished and discovered a communication from artiox saying there is a portal to the ark on reach aswell, so by the end they found it and activated it, Atriox said that the banshied have a good state on the ark, so the stalemate is still implace, in the next novel divine wind some traitors of Atriox and some under cover Spartan IIIs and a oni agent working for those brutes arrive at the ark through the portal on reach, and discover a three way battle turns out, that truths forerunner ship was still intact on the ark and that there was still a large covenant presents inside the ship and enough supplies to last them 70 years, and these covenant forces were waiting for truth to return the only reason they left is that Atriox before escaping the ark sent a group to go and find the slip space crystal on the ship in order to activate the portal, and discovers the forces inside the ship being lead by a prelate which is a prophet the species aka San Shyum, and a prelate is a super soldier so as powerful as a Spartan, so by the events of the novel divine wind the ark is in three way battle with Spirit of Fire, The Banished, and the old covenant forces.

When playing Halo 4, just before putting your hands on the buttons that awake the Didact, pause the game to watch the Halo 4 terminals, and then resume the game to wake uo the Didact.

Much like what happened to the Triplets, shit even Georgia isn't "Dead". Any Agent that is classified as "MIA" is still alive, since the list didn't change after Temple's incident, the agents in Temples room starting from Wash and Carolina are

I think I'm missing one, but it'd be Montana if I am.
Now, throw in the agents that were also KIA, there should still be 5-10 Agents that are not in Temples room, nor recovered by the Recovery Agents. The Triplets are some of them. Meaning that Colorado, Georgia- they all probably have a family in the background, yes Georgia was a douche to the Triplets, but- I like to think he was hard on them to make them hard, you can't be weak in Project Freelancer, I think Georgia was their mentor in the background. Which is why no one told the Triplets that Georgia went missing, Utah and Alaska died, C.T was killed. Yes, there would've been no way for anyone to tell them anything, since they were known as some of the first agents, and the first agents to technically successfully leave without Recovery Units chasing them. They're alive, same with the MIA agents. I firmly believe that, since Red vs Blue is ending, they have enough characters for a new story, including Shatter Squad, and the Army of Chorus. Which is why I'm writing Red vs Blue: Collision Course, it'll give the Reds and Blues a proper send off, and introduces one of Wash's new ideas, Project Scarlet. (Freelancer reboot). It'll focus more about keeping tech out of the wrong hands, without being the bad guys. P.S. Doughnut killed Doc to keep O'malley from killing everyone else, since Doughnut killed his best friend, he became his own Villain, and will be the main bad guy in this upcoming thing I'm writing.
I don't care if Rooster Teeth kills the Reds and Blues in this upcoming season, I will have the true ending for them no matter what. 🫡😉
Somewhere in combat evolved you also have to go to a dave and busters and play fireteam raven.😂
