  • @ieorlich

    But what was the psychology??
    Imo, some ppl just like the mere fact of knowing someone is suffering. Exactly, that's some level of psycho right there... People don't realize that this kind psychos always start with something "meaningless". They always justified by saying, "it is nothing", "it was joking", "I apologize blah blah blah..." But later becomes something really serious. And a problem for others.
    In my experience, I've seen this behavior on any ages. Kids, adults, old and very old.
    So, be aware of this kind of ppl in your surroundings.

    i still don't get why bf2+ is bad. You regain the lost pawn and they lose castling rights, in exchange for loss of bishop pair and a weaker center

    • @loafes1352
      @loafes1352 8 месяцев назад +15

      Its well known that Bxf7 in the usual version and likewise Bxf2 in this case isnt as good as keeping the bishop. in both cases you get the pawn back. the only possible advantage of Bxf2+ is the loss of castling rights but the bishop pair and centre is worth more. the king just manually castles usually

    • @bradclarkson3488
      @bradclarkson3488 8 месяцев назад +4

      If you find yourself with some time I would suggest going through the variations where Bxf2/Bxf7 happens. I believe it's worth learning because you're right, it's actually not straightforward how to play on from those positions with your king on the F file.
      Essentially taking the f pawn generally results in getting absolutely steamrolled in the centre and it's worth knowing how to handle your king's position if you find yourself with this tactic on the board.

    • @Edamori
      @Edamori 8 месяцев назад +2

      Another big point is that you're leaving your opponent with two center pawns and removing their f pawn instead of the d pawn. Losing castling rights is never a problem in these lines, and you'll often find it's your opponent making use of the semi-open f file, not you, while enjoying their rock solid center. On top of losing the bishop pair, not a good path to go down.

    • @zexisak4085

      white gets a big center and the bishop pair, engine says +1

    • @zexisak4085
      @zexisak4085 8 месяцев назад

      I've gotten this line more commonly through 1. c4 e5 2. Nc3 Nf6 3. Nf3 Nc6 4. e4 Bc5 5. Nxe5 Bxf2+, there white has even a larger center but the same logic applies, my results are very good resulting from that position.

      400 elo comment, the 3 pawns wasn't the reason it was good, especially not in the middle game, no the reason it was bad, was because of some dank tactic where the lightsquare bishop pins the queen, and unpinning runs into a fork, otherwise trading your bishop for 3 pawns is just plain losing.

    • @FT029
      @FT029 8 месяцев назад +6

      accuracy is not everything. Sometimes weak chess engines cannot find the full picture at just 1 second per move. You need to look at the insanely deep ideas (Bxa7, f5, Bb5, Qf4, Nd5, all just for the Bxc6 fork idea is near impossible to see; playing it in a pace of 2 seconds/move pretty much seals the deal). Furthermore there's risks that no human would ever take (e.g. Kd2 on move 29 would never be played by a human, as well as Bf3 in the endgame).
      If that isn't enough, you can look at their account and see they've lost several games against a 500, playing horribly. Then suddenly they become the strength of a 2800+, always playing at 2 seconds/move.
