ruclips.net/video/mbo48Lp899Q/видео.html
bigl is one of the most underrated mc ever
I agree.
along with immortal technique, AZ, and royce da 5'9. i emphasize AZ the most though
Chino xl and mac dre are underrated too
Inspectah Deck along these, too... They underrated as hell
percee p
Big L tortured the mic.
drumma4lyfe06 he left mics torn when he put it on
Yup!
Hahaha facts
Poor microphone
Microphone need Frasier Crane after L abused it
HA HA hearing scared from NAS. Told y'all BIG L was a legend.
That's why nas laughed at jim jones for dissing on him .It's like this wack rapper coming at me .When i had people like Big l ,biggie ,2pac even .These people would /could give you a run for your money if you weren't on your game .Ain't no half stepping back then at all.Either you were the illest and could prove it or,you was wack and fronting like you was something ... Big L RIP one of the greatest that ever did it .
NateCole lol
The L stand for Legend
He said it for respect.but big l is dope.big L and big pun are the goat.
This did it for me....when nas says he was shook i started showing everyone i know this interview
Big L would have blew up, rest in peace
U crazy?! Listen to the beat on the MVP remix!! Not the album version!
420greenmarine nah bro he already had clean versions for when he was live on radio. Ive heard them
GreenUnionLocal420 he did radio freestyles n had to think of ones with no cursing n fully went nuts on it 🔥🔥
@GreenUnionLocal420 big L was gonna sign wit the r.o.c..his career was gonna blow by far
Nas always sound toasted as fuck haha. Love hearing one legend giving respect to another
If love to smoke a blunt with Nas then shut some freestyles
Smileyfacedkiller you gay
Yeah "get outta here" had me dying 😂😂
nas and big l . come on dudes . the world's greatest
Guru
+APEX PRED47OR Right
Nas, big L and guru
Kool G Rap X Big Pun
Jay x5 Oki 9
Lord Finnese is so slept on
+Vub u a doom fan? what about if L and doom did a song. 2 diff styles, but both lyrical
+Eye would bring Jesus back himself
+Eye mf doom most overrated unlistenable rapper ever
+johndoe781 he's lyrical but boring
DOOMs far from boring you just gotta get yourself into his music.
If illmatic days nas said he was scared of competing with L, you know Big L was nice
Facts
I think Nas is a better lyricist on a metaphorical story teller kind of way
Big L is a better lyricist on a punchline and just straight raw lyricism kind of way
I would give anything for Nas and Big L to do a track together, Nas it aint hard to tell kind of track mixed with Big L MVP kind of track
Shit would be crazy!
"I think Nas is a better lyricist on a metaphorical story teller kind of wayBig L is a better lyricist on a punchline and just straight raw lyricism kind of wayI" True. Rhymes and wordplay go to Big L.
Big L would win in a Battle
Temuera Burton Definitely/ Against most he would win. Sad we never got to see him in an actual rap battle before he passed. The Jay-Z track was more like a a song of bars and their legendary battle was never filmed or recorded.
GZA i agree
I got mad respect for the gza but nAH HE WASNT ON BIG L LEVEL
15 years ago we lost the greatest rapper to touch the mic. Long live Big L.
come on yo! greatest rapper to touch the mic is Chino XL ! and the list goes drake, lil wayne, tyga and bow wow.
Cem you are kidding right?
Cem No he ain't kidding. Don't you see he has a 2pac.picture in his profile, he's a real male groupie.
MrErhan1989 sure I'm kidding. But the hispanic kidnapper dropout dude above thinks Chino XL is better than Pac lol.
Cem Lol
Early 90's: Tupac, Biggie
Late 90's: Big L, Big Pun
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Mid 90's: Nas Jay Z
Old school jay z has fire verses. Check out "Red handed and Jay Z freestyle " shit is bananas. Btw everyone went hard oN da graveyard
All of 90's: Nas
Nahhh bro Big L was murrdering his ass til his death
Nas and Big L top 5 of all time! Nas number 1.
Shamsul1738 No, they good but also overrated
Ciske Latour top 5 in no order
Nas
Big L
Biggie
2pac
Immortal Technique
1.BigL
2. Nas
3. Rakim
3GOATS OF HIPHOP
Nas is so humble and such a goat, respect and love to L, Nas, Finesse, and hip hop
Big-L was AHEAD of his time in the rap game. He was still an underground rapper, so if he was signed before he was shot and killed. He would have blown up into one of the best hip-hop artiest (which he already was in his prime time).
Im pretty sure he got signs like a week or 2 before he died too
his parents had not even met yet
He was signed to the same label as nas
his story telling on the heist and casualties of a dice game were so ahead of his time
98 freestyle thoooo, and lifestyles of the poor and dangerous, and ebonics, and give it to em L, and the enemy. Matter of fact, every damn song
+tellitubie123 All black American dream
tellitubie123 Danger Zone tha Graveyard and Devils son
almost all on his albums are good songs
Ebonics is sick
Big l: Devils Son 😈
Nas: Gods Son 😇
Wtf ???
Who son is son and who dad is dad
cool dude bro check out big ls joint Devils Son and check out Nas album god sons
The triple six in the mix straight from H E double hockey sticks
“When I was 12, I went to hell for snuffin’ Jesus” 😂
But I’m feeling the parallels a bit.
Also, “Big L, rest in peace 😢”
L is a dope ass rapper, definitely my top
When it comes to writing albums, Nas will forever body BIG L. However, when it comes to battle raps and straight spitting, BIG L would eat Nas. It's as simple as that.
big L was taken out of the game and held back he was gonna break large and he was shot
Exactly. Best way to review it.
Mhmm
Nas will body another rapper when it comes to making albums? LOL
nah man L was taken out too early, we cant really say that nas would body L in anything. L had the potential
Nas is such a Humble guy. Big L clearly looked up to him and most likely was inspired by Nas on live at the bbq
RIP Big L
“I was Scared to death” ~ Nas
If L was still alive... Much would be different. Instead of the holy 3 (Pac, Big, and Nas) it would be the holy 4 (Pac, Big, Nas, and L). You can argue that L was young and who knows what would've happened as he got older but if he would've continued like he was doing... Shit would be different. Nas gave love which should be enough.
gearsofwar2112 lol the holy 3? what about KRS, Rakim and Big daddy kane?
He's talking about the newer generation of rappers at the time, which were Nas, BIG, Pac, and L.
Don't forget AZ either
Grubnub903
"Cant forget Diamond D.. The whole DITC"
+Taylor Baistow u mean nas rakim krs one
classic
Big L is the greatest rapper of all time. He wasn't around long enough to prove it to the whole world. But those who know his music and his lyrical genius can tell he was way ahead of everyone else.
If he stayed around he would be my number 1 but he my number 2
It ain't cookies and cream. RIP the Legend
"im so ahead of my time, my parents havent met yet"
i think jigga knew that 2
You know Funk Flex was dieing to say, if L had that one chance, no one would stop him.. an he even said, no disrespect to biggie an p diddy, an its true, L at the age he was at, in his earlie 20s, forget it, 15 years ago, we lost the most underrated, the greatest, MC, Freestylest, best Punch lines, everything, L was a big, an wayne you are a lil.
P diddy are you stupid? .
That one chance at what ? I don't know what he was talking about. Did he meant to say that L was popping and then Big & Puff took his shine ?
He's talking about the sample used on MVP. Biggie and puff used the same sample for "One more chance" and it took the steam off of L's record
rip Big L he was authentic
i love big L and Nas but if i where to choose 1 of them it would be big L. but nas is the goat
Nas has more diverse content and a poetic aspect that Big L lacks, but Big L's flow/delivery is much better so it comes down to preference.
David Luna no one is the DAMN goat.
VaseLu He left us too young to evolve as an Emcee. I believe he would of had more diversity as time went by
Jay-z himself said" he was a talented writer and once you have that the sky is the limit!"
Well Rakim is the Goat but I hear ya.
Nas and big L definitely top 5
Rest In Peace Big L, Your life was cut to short. You are missed. The Game would of been way different if you were still here.we lost one of the greatest MC's to ever touch a microphone,Big L’s appeal might have something to do with his ability to cast himself as a larger than life character in his own ‘flamboyant’ horror story. He could deliver an entire 16 about murdering someone and have it somehow come off sounding charismatic
“Ask Beavis, I get nothin Butthead”
My all time favorite biG L punchline
Genius
@@BUKWulfSh0t what does it mean
@@maseven9257 look up Beavis and butthead.... is this what getting old feels like im scared
@@maseven9257 I’ll tell you when you’re older
Big L is my favorite rapper
Mines too
Good pick

If L was still alive, would kill to hear eminem, big L and Redman
Eminem is not in that caliber of rappers
@@tkblouch6745 lol tf you talkin
@@kineticwayss Eminem just a rubbish with media everywhere
Big pun ain't fuckin with big l let's be real L had the slickest wordplay of all time
I actually think Big L and Big Pun are on the same level . But they are better than Nas for sure
+ericakamrkrump They are better than pac and big too.
#BigL and #BigPun had 🔥 #Lyrics 🙏🏻R.I.P
Personally, I think Pun woulda ate him. The guy had flows, lyrics, stage presence... all that good shit. He was something else.
Rakim Sharif
💯
Nas is so humble man, damn. Nas > Big L, but both are legends.
nas fanboy alert. big L >> nas. big l would slaughter nas on the mic
L would slaughter anyone on the mic but Nas is better. Both top 10
They are on equal ground, both are fucking fantastic why even debate?
They're both masters of their OWN style. You look stupid comparing them.
@@lycan2494 faxxxx
WOW! Funk Flex, you're actually letting the artist speak. This is amazing. You typically don't let the artist get a word in edgewise. You ask a question and then two words into they response, you done already started on the next question. Anyhow, this was so sweet of you, Nasir. That's the ultimate compliment coming from you. Here I am 50 years later listening to Big L. I'm obsessed w/ his debut album right now. I'm from the West Coast and I was hella young when it came out so please forgive me. There was just so much good music available that I couldn't get to every artist/group. Better now than never. So now, Big L... Was he that much of a threat to where he couldn't release music consistently?
Top 5 FORVER - Big L RIP
Big L was
The Chosen One. Damnnn
Imagine Big L, Eminem, and Nas kicking a horror-core rap on a Havoc beat all in their primes. Would be legendary.
It's 2020 and Big L's still shining to me
nothing but respect to Big L & Nas
Nas is a great but Big L was the MVP. End of story.
Word!!!!
nas said he was scared wow two of the illest lyricist of da 90s Harlem vs Queens new York both was my favorite sip big l nas still rocking the house til this day real hip hop keep the move going
Big L most underrated rapper ever rip so young and talented
I meet big L in Harlem across the street from the apollo..I was working at xpress clothing....he had a ponytail hair style, real laid back dude..we shook hands and he left..I was the only person who knew who he was...
Make sure to check out the new Big L site/forums - www.139andlenox.com/
Dunno man, I hadn't checked it in a while so I can't tell if this is temporary or not :/
Indeed man, plus they were on the same label so it's truly a shame to have Big L and Nas in their prime at the same place and not make something happen. At least some radio freestyle or even an interview. But it's also understandable because it's different when you look back at it, and at the time they couldn't have known how things may pan out.
The greatest compliment a rapper could get is being feared by one of thee most gifted lyrcists and poets of rap...
BIG L
Harlem king mc.
Remember him.
Even though I wasn't alive when he was doing his thing I have listened to his music enough to say that Big L was in my opinion, a better rapper in general than Nas. They both were geniuses in their own respected ways of course though. Two of the greatest.
Azhaan Khattak i think big L was more street than nas and yes big l is better
RIP L still feeling u
For Nas to openly admit this for the world to hear.. Respect 🫡
Loved the video & loving the Below The Heavens (Blu & Exile) pfp bruh Top album!
Great looking out fam! And yeah, Below The Heavens is such a dope album :))
At least no one mentioned eminem
Fuck Eminem!
1Big L
2Nas
3Biggie
4Big Pun
5tupac
These are the GOAT!
+Tim dogg biggie above pun tho
+Big L In Every video they have to throw Eminem into the equation.Just hate when they throw overrated rappers into the Legacy status.
+TheCodedtestament Eminem is overrated
+Big L Damm big l himself said feminems overrated
lucky enough to have seen Nas....in Ottawa Canada in a barn no less....sick.
what can we say... hes harlem's *finest* and
This is an excerpt from like a 30min interview from 2006. The rest of the interview doesn't contain anything about Big L. If you want to hear the whole thing, I guess you should find it on RUclips by searching Nas - Funkmaster Flex interview or something.
R.I.P Big L
The best rapper still alive praising the best rapper whose passed on... iconic
Imagine a track with Tupac, Big L, Biggie, Nas, and Big Pun with Dr Dre producing it cause they all have unbelievable word play, lyricists in their own way, and are known to be goats of their generation and of rap period.
My Top 5
Eminem, Nas, Big L, Rakim, Kool G Rap
No order
Honestly Big L is the best to touch the mic hands down no one comes close. I use to think pac was on top but I came back to L and man.... Big L would body anyone, RIP
LOVE NAS GIVIN PROPS #flamboyant 139
Man big L is just to good. One of the best
No disrespect to Nas his a legend my top 5 but i think Big L is better
No doubt
Wish They did work together...R.I.P. L, Harlem and Queens connect - Dopeness!
Excellent. I remember thinking about the sample and how Puff used it later and wondered what the deal was. Back then.
Nas knows the deal.
I think if we are comparing the 2 best albums from both artists here, Illmatic and Lifestylez ov da Poor & Dangerous. I would have to give this one to Big L, primarily because of the lyrics from MVP. Big L would be rhyming with 1 word for like 30 seconds lmao but they are both my favorites of all time for sure
May Big L Soul live on through the memory and acknowledgement of Rap fans everywhere. But if anyone thinks for a second that Nas didn't stand a chance against L on some lyrical isht then calling yourselves fans of lyricism is an absolute crime......
🙏🏻R.I.P #Legend🎤🔥🔥🔥 #BigL
R.I.P L Forever missed
Nas and L the two GOATs
RIP BIG L.
Nas was the better rapper at rhyming, but Big L was the better one at punchlines- Nas and Big L are some of the best lyricists and story tellers out there, Big L would make you stop the track and rewind it back when he's storytelling while Nas would make you meditate on his story telling
Big l was one of dopest MCs to ever touch a mic
My top 5:
1. Kool G Rap
2. Rakim
3. Big Daddy Kane
4. Big Pun
5. Big L
Big l is a legend.
Rip to a legend
More like Flex talks really really slow about L. MVP
Nas either heard Yes you May or Devils Son lol those were some of Ls earliest works. No wonder Nas was scared lol
big l was b4 his time definitely top5 lyrically
he said it himself "I'm so ahead of my time my parents haven't met yet"
Big L is your favorite rappers favorite rapper
Nas is talkin bout Big Ls track Devils Son the craziest song I’ve ever heard talkin bout some crazy shit.
Big l best lyricist I ever heard legendary shit
Respect to Nas for recognizing the real!
nas: i was scared to death i can't compete with that
nas fanboy: nas is better than big l
...
Nas and L hip hops mvps
Big wouldve washed Nas in a situation where Flex would've had them just rip some beats . But L 's debut album can't live on the same galaxy as Illmatic . Not even close . Big L was the 1st Papoose . Bars for days, not built for writing timeless albums tho .
Big L was cold. Guru slept on too! It’s so man old school hip hop legends slept on.
Nas and Big L over the Represent beat = Epitome of rap
somebody who knows below the heavens? best album ever
haha, thanks, it's definitely in my top 3!
Rip L and all them 90s rappers that died
Big l one of the GREAT!! Rip
Sick!
Big pun and big L where and always be the two most lyrical rappers ever of all time. No fucking argument.
Big l ❤
You're welcome!
diddy and biggy jacked big L's style. as flex points out. not the first time diddy jacked something he heard Pete rocks beat using the sample of "juicy' which then all of a sudden Biggie had.
Title should be Flex talks about Big L to Nas. Guy never shuts up..smdh!
Nas has respect and he would say anything negative about L anyway so, of course he'd hype up the myth of Big L. RIP Big L.
Big L, getting taken so early took away more from this industry then most will ever know. Lord finesse didnt introduce no body's as a business scheme like so many do nowadays. He vouched for big L based on skill and skill alone. True heads only get to imagine what the industry would actually be if he was still around.
Big L is the goat
