Many to mention but a real slept on joint is "I went for mine" - Diamond D. Btw, the Stunt, blunts album is pure fire.
day one & 5 fingers of death & thick
Lord finesse is one of those dude that people don't talk about enough. Dude was one of the hottest in the game and he put mad people on. He needs to be on every podcast cause he's that important to the culture.
I totally agree… had his tape in 1990… still listen to him… my man’s style never gets old.
He's also really great with the fans. I remember back in like the MySpace day, he would replay back to messages and things like that. And I've been to one of his shows - real dope for sure.
Killer emcee and a killer producer!
He was the original punchline king!
Wish roggies would have him on!
Lord Finesse is underrated. RIP Big L
WORD!!!!!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Lord Finese is one of the best producers on the mic.
Lord Finesse's album The Awakening is in my top 10 albums of all time. Not a single day goes by where im not listening to at least one song from that album. Really wish he wouldve continued his solo career.
Facts, those first 2 were fire as fook too tho
@@natedogg5708 for the time definitely, but Awakening is a timeless front to back masterpiece
@@kevindube7096 I agree, hadn't looked at the song list in a while.. nothing but genuine classic songs.
BUT if you can say the first two are dated or whatever, then so is awakening, the lyrics alone on the first two like...
Introduced the also legendary percee p to the world.
Truth and living
Facts that joint is 🔥
Respect to Lord Finesse!! We was bumping him early all the way in Cleveland.
Respect…. Been listening to finesse since 1990.
I’m hip to
The game (Right), I’ll always be
The same (True) ‘cause whether I’m
Broke or got fame, sunshine or rain
Ain’t a damn thing changed 💥🔥
One of the best songs ever.
Funky technician is one of the most underrated albums in hip hop. Glad to see the brother doing well.
Finesse is a humble legend. History should be kind to him.
Lord finesse highly underrated MC and producer 💎👑 truly one of a kind
Lord Finesse rockin that ill Wu-Tang shirt! Big L lives forever
truth
Lord Finesse went toe to toe with Percee P twice. Showing how much of an underrated lyricist he happens to be.
That Yes You May track is epic, both P and Finesse went hard as hell on it.
Can't wait to see this full interview
MONDAY!
Right about now!..... on Monday
Cool
Rest In Peace big l
I love lord finesse
Yes you may remix still one of the hardest tracks of all time. Real rap heads know.
That's why I hate when people do those bullshit top rappers of all time lists because pioneers like the great Lord Finesse are forgotten or not even mentioned. He's definitely among the best that did it!
I am old enough to remember the debates in High School who was better him or Kane. One of the true triple threats in the history of the rap game.Incredible emcee and producer and a underrated DJ
@@stephenheath8465 facts bro! ✌🏾
Such a sick story.. dude gets embraced by the sickest crew in hip-hop.. becomes legendary.. as far as I know puts on his own crew children of the corn, hip-hop supergroup basically..
Unsung hero.
Big L. The Funky Technician. Legends!!!!!
As the legend goes, Finesse pioneered the style and L ran with it.
D.i.t.c. forever Lord Finesse,Showbiz and AG,Diamond D,OC, Buckwild D,Fat Joe and Rest In Peace Big L(Lamont Coleman)
Big L, for someone who really understands Hip Hop, knows that he is in the top 3 of the most important and relevant mc's and that he left a very high level. Today any young person who thinks he is doing Hip Hop, doesn't know the mc's who elevated rap to the top, nor their history. I think this is essential and necessary for our culture, which is living in low hours.
Big L was dope but most overrated MC behind Eminem.
@@dedricderesenn6424 that’s major 🧢
@@ProfessorCDO absolute truth
@@ProfessorCDO the fact that you used the word cap show you weren’t around or old enough to really know.
Big l is the true definition of a rapper. Fat joe and show biz would wake him up out his sleep to rap battle someone hed go beat em then go back to sleep😂 he has a written ready for every radio show that he could fit over any beat he was truly something special
I have seen Lord finesse say the same incident in other interviews. Shows how much those memories of Big L mean to him.
Lord finesse had the game on lock at one point!! FACTS
This my #1 Emcee of all time...the catalog heavy with classic rhymes since 89... Funky Bad Mutha
About Time you got a dope EMCEE
BIG L REST IN PEACE [beat kicks in]
Premo
What a gem of an interview lord finesse is a real one you can just tell, love all their collabs. You gotta appreciate what he did for L he really put him on and recognized his talent before anyone else
Big L, Rest in Peace
The great one Lord Finesse, my 2nd favorite artist of all time. Arguably one of the greatest to ever do it.
Rip big L respect lord finnese best duo
Lord finesse one of the best lyricist
Finesse was one of my childhood heroes growing up on the other side of the globe. I'll never forget when I met him at a park in the Bronx and I was so bottled up with dap I wanted to give him for inspiring me all those years, and all the things I wanted to ask him, and all I could say was: "You still cool with Mike Smooth?" He just smiled, pointed down the block and was like: "Word. He just lives down there". One of the most humble and talented cats in the rap game in my opinion.
R.I.P. BIG L! Everytime I hear him I always wonder what if Big L was still alive. Definitely an all-time great lyricist! 🙏🏻
You done great finding big L thanks lord finesse 🎹🎤🎶
Can’t wait for the full episode
Lord Finesse is one of the best to touch the mic.
Rest in peace Big L(Lamont Coleman) one of my favorite Mc
Woooooooo Jasmine, your outfit is stunning! 1m1 This shit is so dope. Cant wait for the whole interview to drop. DITC forever.
Thank You for this gem 💎
L took Finesse's style of rhyming and took to another level, their rhymes are always full of metaphors, "i shine like the sun" "i grow like the trees" "i get loose like a hoe in a dance class" those rhymes that involves a lot of metaphors are my most favorite, it's a movie in your head
Big L was basically a combination of Lord Finesse & Kool G Rap
I'm excited for this full interview. Legendary!
I remember going to one of Lord Finesses' concerts in my hometown Gothenburg. It was actually at a youth recreational center so no alcohol or anything was served. Not only did he do a great show, but he was the funniest rapper I've ever seen. Felt like going to a stand-up show and hip-hop concert at the same time.
L deserves more credit in the game world. Shits criminal.
RIP Lamont.
The thought of Big L being with us nowadays & rapping over beats from Alchemist & Craven, with Griselda features 😈. He would still be the Don Corleone of this shit, but what he gave us while we had him was timeless. RIP to one LEGEND & shout out to another one in Lord Finesse.
This story sounds incredible. Big L definitely made an impression at an early age.
This was great, can't wait for the whole intervirew 😁
Funky Technician, R.I.POWER🌹🌹🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤

Oh my GOD! This short story left huge whole in my head and heart - asking why? Well, just because I wish I was a part of that 90's NY hip hop industry and getting to know all of these dope cats!
Cool
I’m hip to the game
Awesome
Man What the hell….I swear you guys are spying on my brain because last couple podcasts I was like

Worrrrrddd uuupppp
I always thought Big L was going to be the next King of NY….not Biggie or Jay…
I am not trying to launch any online debates or arguments….hahaha….relax.
P.s
Nas & Big L would have been the sickest duo in history….maybe?
On some Lord Finesse and Preemo beats……forget about it.
Damn where shorty go?
Imagine if big l never got killed he s be on jay z or drake status times 10!!!!
Big L was robbed:( friends dont know who bigL is. He is prolific and would have owned everything if he kept on
