A higher education has helped many people but the cost and debt for many- that other side of the coin doesn't help. He is making a point that is not false. How many people got a diploma but don't use it? A shit load. Not every degree guarantees a job but trade schools are known to be better investments. But you say he was dumb bringing up some facts - go invest four years and be the exception.
@proned2stoned how do you know I haven't already invested 4 yrs? I realise it's not a one size fits all situation & that life skills can be gained alternatively. I personally would never tell anyone not to invest in a higher education.
