  • Found a time-capsule in a Berlin wood. What's in it? I'll open it on camera. Also made some new digger friends in the woods.
    One of them did a great find which I was lucky enough to catch on video.
    Thumbs up if you would like to see more!

    As a kid my favorite place was the barbershop, now back then we still had a few Span Am War vet's, lot of WW1 vet's including my grandfather, Army engineers development Bn. . I grew up with history, listening to those men talk mostly in French, mostly gossiping about the wife, cooking, etc... that's where I learned to cook. Then after them seeing me interested in the service, they gave me all kinds of stuff, uniforms, hats, brass, trench art, photos, bayonets, packs etc... now some 50 yrs later 519 uniforms, a 1943 MB gun jeep, found an M4A2Sherman, my front yard will get that placed. Be safe guys please, have fun ,we need more like yall.

    • @thesayxx
      @thesayxx 7 лет назад

      allot of people use over under rifle/shotgun combination here in Europe. So you have a 1 rifled barrel in a rifle caliber and usualy a 12 or 16ga shotgun barrel. So you load a slug into the lower barrel. That way you have a backup shot with a slug if you make any mistakes with the first shot. Also its illegal to shoot big game with buckshot where i live.

      Actually time capsule is something that is intended to be found in distant future, that contains something the maker of the capsule wanted to message to the future people.

    I worked at a shipyard (TODD) in the early 1980's building navy ships (ffg's). The same shipyard my Grandmother worked during WWII, when large structures are placed on the main deck; anyone nearby will place things from their pockets under the legs before being welded to the deck as a sort of time capsule like coins, etc. These will remain with the ship until it is scrapped. My Uncle worked on the dry dock as a welding/cutting supervisor and one day they were cutting steel plate for scrap from an old "Liberty Ship" we had built for WWII. While cutting an offset in a corner of what was supposed to be a large square cabin for troop transfer they found a skeleton in a welding suit ! The Coroner was called and that was the last I heard about it.

      Lucky its a Brokern sentence but its for sure not for a child but for the German Landser :) a M30 Gasmaske is for adults... you are right with the translation but it was in ww1 where every civilian had a Gasmask.

    • @shikkithefirst5393
      @shikkithefirst5393 7 лет назад +1

      Lucky It could also be that his kid wrote that letter and the soldier took it with him. That would explain the writing: It looks like the handwriting of simewhere who just learned cursive 2 or so years ago, my little brother writing looks a lot like my brothers writing.
      And the broken german could be explained if it were a foreign soldier and his kid. The Germans made german lessons mandatory.
      Or i could be totally wrong... XD
