- Malaysia's border closures have impacted Malaysians working in Singapore. Many are separated from their children and loved ones, while some are left homeless as employers struggle to find temporary housing solutions.
Thankfully, some people have since come forward to open up their homes and donate essential items to those who need them.
We follow one man on his journey as he seeks homes for the stranded Malaysians in Singapore.

MOM officers actually came down to Kranji MRT that night to assist them and brought them to the makeshift MSF temporary shelter at Jurong East Sports Hall.

Most Malaysians & Singaporeans have the same roots. We’re actually family.
We squabble over silly issues, have friendly/heated debates about politics, tease one another about the origins of our awesome cuisine(s), and sometimes we may even provoke feelings of anger toward one another (unintentionally or otherwise).
Having said so..I personally liken this to a typical relationship between siblings, and hope that none of us will ever let any instances of anger develop into unnecessary/unwarranted hatred.
May we always have each other’s back in in times of need, and put ideological differences aside - especially in regard to race, religion, politics, etc. We can unify in the name of humanity.
‘Terima Kasih’ @ Thank you Gilbert, Raina, and all the other unsung heroes for helping, even though it meant potentially putting yourselves (and your families) at risk; considering the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Your selfless acts of compassion and kindness shall hopefully be a source of inspiration to others.
