The whole 'Reign In Blood' album was so freaking good, no weak tracks anywhere. 'Angel of Death', 'Criminally Insane', 'Altar of Sacrifice'', 'Jesus Saves', 'Epidemic'', just 1 after another.
It's about time!! No one reacts to Postmortem, that has some awesome riffs. Underrated song like Fight Till Death 🤘🤘. This song should be listened to together with Raining Blood.
I remember listening to Postmortem and Rainig Blood on repeat. Had a casette player then, once the songs were finished, I would return to the desert of the real, had to rewind and play again down the rabbit hole.
Jeff Hanneman (RIP). They held a memorial service for him at the Palladium in Los Angeles, open to the fans. I was lucky enough to be able to attend. The Westboro Baptist Church had announced plans to show up and protest it, but they never showed.
wow yeah saw the post at 4am hahaha my lazy ass went back to bed!!!! SLayer this is a bad ass song but you def.. need to check out Crypt of Iternity bad as!!!!!
Mornin guys! Love slayer! It's 6am I got my headphones in and head moving! Lol! Can't not when listening to slayer! My fav songs are "dead skin mask", and "mandatory suicide"..
yeah the reds swept the heavily favored a's in 1990. it was the a's third consecutive world series appearance after losing in '88 to the dodgers (the series with kirk gibson's walk-off in game 1) and then sweeping the giants in '89 (the series that had an earthquake right before game 3 that delayed the conclusion of the series by over a week).
Several Slayer songs from the first few albums had that high-pitched scream in them. In a couple he goes from really high to really low, some of my favorite parts!
If you dudes react to 'South of Heaven', be sure to do 'Silent Scream' at the same time. Same deal as 'Postmortem'/'Raining Blood' - 2 songd, but the first is the build-up and the second is the explosion
Hi, my favorite power duo! Edgar Czop here, was suggesting Puscifer's Simultaneous \m/ You should definitely check out "Old School Hollywood" by System of a Down-it perfectly aligns with today’s Trivia vibes!
Pretty much the album that taught me how to play contemporary thrash metal guitar. Now bear in mind contemporary at the time in 1986 but there were palm muting techniques and Rift chugging and stuff that I had just never heard before let alone tried to play.... this was Iron Maiden on 10, and these tracks still hold up today. Probably slayer's best minimalist production techniques as well.... courtesy of Rick Rubin no less.
8:15 1986 what a great year for metal SLAYER REIGN IN BLOOD MEGADEATH PEACE SELL ANTHRAX AMOUNG THE LIVING METALLICA MASTER OF PUPPETS saw all 4 tours I was 17 my durtbag metal head ass was very happy 4l
Slayer definitely played a huge part in inspiring death metal. While Reign in Blood was really more of a punk-rock paced thrash album, the album prior (Hell Awaits) was practically proto-death metal in their approach to writing and song structure.
You're right Bro, the best Metal album ever. I also love Postmortem and I think it's one of the best Slayer's....but Angel Of Death is out of the charts!!😉🤘
"Reign in Blood" came out in 1986. Bands like Death and Possessed are considered the pioneers in death metal with Possessed having their first album out before "Reign in Blood". Possessed's first album "Seven Churches" came out in 1985. However Slayer released their first album "Show No Mercy" in 1983. Death did not put out their first album "Scream Bloody Gore" until 1987. So "Reign in Blood" was not a direct influence on death metal. Was that reply confusing enough?? 😂😂😂😂😂
\m/ METAL!!!! If you've never covered Repentless, y'all ought to! The video is WILD! A super violent prison riot featuring a lot of horror movie icons!
My boys in Anthrax forgotten and confused with Iron Maiden. Anthrax is the socially conscious band. The big four is Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Check out Blood Eagle wings. Forty years after they started and they are still one of the best.
Slayer was without question sent here from the Antichrist. Lol. Joking. With a devout Catholic singer. Listen Slayer live is like watching someone demolition a house. They are the best thrash band ever. Cos we know the four horsemen are king of metal
This is thrash? The main groove threw me off, and I was wracking my brain for a comparison and the first thing that came to mind was Twisted Sister! 😅 A bit after that I thought Iron Maiden is harder than this. I was somewhat reassured (but only a little 🤏🏼) when they switched up, switched on a more aggro beat. Whatever, I'm pretty certain I've listened to Slayer on several occasions, whether in reactions or something else, and I thought it was heavier than this one. In any case, enjoy whatever gets your motor running, and your juices flowing, I got no skin in the game. Cheers, deuces, treys, quarter oh zees, byee. 👋🏼 😊
28 minutes of the most brutal sounds ever laid down on vinyl.
The whole 'Reign In Blood' album was so freaking good, no weak tracks anywhere. 'Angel of Death', 'Criminally Insane', 'Altar of Sacrifice'', 'Jesus Saves', 'Epidemic'', just 1 after another.
Without question one of my favs! 🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely
RIP Jeff Hanneman.
yep, it blends into the beginning of Raining blood - great 1 2 punch
Goes well like PEANUT BUTTER n JELLY
Slaaaayeeeeerrrr!!!
🔥🤘🏽🔥
The build-up, then the release. Each 1 feels incomplete without the other.
It ends like that into thunder starting of raining blood
Havok cover both songs in one in that order. If you haven’t heard it before it’s good
Can’t wait til yall get to ‘Hell Awaits’. The intro is voices saying ‘join us’ backwards
Yes, one of my all time favorite songs and albums!
8:42 hahaha holy f Smoke. "No"
If i had coffee, i would have spit it out there.
Legit laughed and paused. Hahahha
That riff once they get going,is so heavy and nasty! The first time I heard it,I played it atleast 20 times in a row!❤🤘💯
It's about time!! No one reacts to Postmortem, that has some awesome riffs. Underrated song like Fight Till Death 🤘🤘.
This song should be listened to together with Raining Blood.
ALWAYS...
This is what I grew up on.
SLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYEEEERRRRR!!!!!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
One of there best songs. Dave on drums is the best ever metal drummer 🥁 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I remember listening to Postmortem and Rainig Blood on repeat. Had a casette player then, once the songs were finished, I would return to the desert of the real, had to rewind and play again down the rabbit hole.
great pick,,,,,🤘🤘🤘
One of the best Slayer songs ever
You're right. This song leads into Raining Blood.
Absolutely love this track
Whole album is a masterpiece. Will go down as one of the greatest metal albums of all time.
My favourite slayer song ever !
It’s absolutely awesome 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yes this one going to Rain in blood.. But there so many gems on this album..
One of my favorite Slayer songs, thrashed in the pit to this at least 10 times
This entire album is like 37 minutes long. Every song bleeds into the next. Their next album after this, South Of Heaven, also did this .
27* EDIT: actually just checked, just under 29mins
28
its less than 30 minutes. South of heaven is about 37 minutes
Bruh its only 28 minutes

Recommend checking out Divine Intervention album, especially Killing Fields, Dittohead and 213 🤘🤘🤘
"Wanting to die is a reason to live."
wow yeah saw the post at 4am hahaha my lazy ass went back to bed!!!! SLayer this is a bad ass song but you def.. need to check out
Crypt of Iternity bad as!!!!!
the abrupt ending is because the song ends with the blow of thunder which starts raining blood
It's now
" SLAYER SATURDAY! "
🤘🏻😆
cheerz
Slayer “Born of Fire” my all time favorite slayer song
My favorite Slayer tune.
Yes it transitions to Raining blood and listening to both songs together is the proper way for one to hear both songs (maybe even whole album) :D
It sounds like an abrupt ending because it immediately continues into reign in blood as if they are one song
This was a fun one!
Mornin guys! Love slayer! It's 6am I got my headphones in and head moving! Lol! Can't not when listening to slayer! My fav songs are "dead skin mask", and "mandatory suicide"..
@@kristaspecht Slayer - part of a nutritious breakfast
@erolbulut2584 lol
A fun fact that Slayer fans generally don't acknowledge, Tom Araya taught Sunday school.
"Do You wanna die?"
"NO!"
Wanting to die is your reason to live. My favorite lyric from Slayer.
reason it ends like that cause it goes right into Raining Blood
Awesome guys. I love seeing you guys react to Slayer. I really hope you guys do Slayers Silent Scream 🤘🤘
yeah the reds swept the heavily favored a's in 1990. it was the a's third consecutive world series appearance after losing in '88 to the dodgers (the series with kirk gibson's walk-off in game 1) and then sweeping the giants in '89 (the series that had an earthquake right before game 3 that delayed the conclusion of the series by over a week).
They are not 'part of the Big 4'. They ARE the big 4.
Post is my fav song in the album.
Several Slayer songs from the first few albums had that high-pitched scream in them. In a couple he goes from really high to really low, some of my favorite parts!

I want that Dolly shirt 👕
I missed yall on Trashgiving this year. Maybe Trashchristmas
At Dawn They Sleep
🔥🤘🏽🔥... check that out guys
Check out the band Kassogtha when you can! One of the best kept secrets in metal! Songs like Plume, Complacency or Venom would get you hooked!
Good call.
Who needs Red bull when we have Slayer ! Mind blowing shit I love. Rock on 🤟😎 !
Adding to David Massey’s comment. Hell Awaits/AntiChrist live. The way they put those two together is awesome

Great review. You got to check out "Defy, Defend, Depose official video" by Dusty Smith!
This song ends abruptly because it turns into Raining Blood on the album
The ENTIRE ALBUM is American Metal at its FINEST. The greatest thrash metal album ever recorded, in my opinion.
This is the 'balad' on the album.
Slayer definitely played a huge part in inspiring death metal. While Reign in Blood was really more of a punk-rock paced thrash album, the album prior (Hell Awaits) was practically proto-death metal in their approach to writing and song structure.
I think a high% of modern-day metal bands listened to Slayer when growing up.
You have to hear this with Raining Blood
🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
My favourite song on the album. The whole album is the greatest thrash album ever. You are right. This songs goes into Raining blood .Tom Araya
raining blood
You're right Bro, the best Metal album ever. I also love Postmortem and I think it's one of the best Slayer's....but Angel Of Death is out of the charts!!😉🤘
Postmortem does lead directly into Raining Blood
Tom Araya is Chilean and based AF. Great reaction, guys
you are the best!
Abrupt ending: Basically, the whole Reign In Blood album should be listened to in one go. Plenty of the songs just blend into the next one.
Best Def Jam album 😂
I want that Cradle of Filth shirt 👕

I may be wrong, but I think this is the only Slayer song with no guitar solo?
Piece by Piece
Jesus Saves next
You have to listen this song with Raining Blood to enjoy it fully
Produced by the legendary Rich Rueben
My boys in Anthrax forgotten and confused with Iron Maiden. Anthrax is the socially conscious band.
The big four is Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer. Check out Blood Eagle wings. Forty years after

Anyone else have a slayer t shirt 😂
Slayer was without question sent here from the Antichrist. Lol. Joking. With a devout Catholic singer. Listen Slayer live is like watching someone demolition a house. They are the best thrash band ever. Cos we know the four horsemen are king of metal
Please react to : slayer : you against you
Next: 213 by ⚡️LAYER 🤘🏼
The video for " you against you" is mind blowing
Silent bob on the right listening to a diff song i guess.
React to catalyst by slayer
Please react to How Bizarre by OMC
Slayer had the dopest riffs back then.😊
Best great songs than metallica by far
Bro, you ain't metal unless you can rock that badass "DOLLY" t-shirt. I have the exact same shirt. Got to Rock a Madonna and Britney Spears t-shirts.
This is thrash? The main groove threw me off, and I was wracking my brain for a comparison and the first thing that came to mind was

The songs Postmortem and Raining Blood should really be listened to back to back almost like one song!
