Yup! I never watch "The Voice". But one night I was surfing the channels and I happen to stop and I listened to this audition. I said "there's the winner". Then she went on to win. I didnt watch any other auditions or any of the show. Go Curley Sue!!
I was watching a documentary and the song You're nobody till somebody loves you by Dean Martin was mentioned and I instantly remembered the movie Curly Sue which took me down the rabbit hole of Alison Porter and I looked up this song. She is truly AMAZING!
her natural break, sustain, projection, octave reach and sheer belt are just hair-raisingly _stunning_ in this...ugh! 🎤👍😍 Thanks for preserving this...the BEST EVER Voice audition, by far.
She’s literally the full package and then some. The vocals? Masterful. Stage presence? Mesmerizing. You could even say she’s a triple threat considering her acting background.
You're not WRONG! She's a dancer as well. This is from 2009. A song called, "Into the Fire." She's a beast in so many ways! ruclips.net/video/33OwDJUQEqI/видео.html
I feel so bad, got a worried mind I'm so lonesome all the time Since I left my baby behind On Blue Bayou I'm going back someday And I won’t need You blue buyou Where the fishing boats With their sails afloat If I could only see That familiar sunrise Through sleepy eyes How happy I'd be Oh, that man of mine By my side The silver moon And the evening tide I'll never be blue My dreams come true On Blue Bayou
Till this day is one of the best performances ive seen in The Voice. It's crazy how this video ain't even 2 minutes long and every time i come back to this performance i be watching for like 35 minutes. 0:39 - 0:41 Just what Christina wanted to hear that. "If i can only see" that deliverance. Perfect to turn your chair around to. 0:56 🛐 1:11 - 1:20 "On Blue Bayou" Has to be a favorite for me the way she just handled that verse. (i mean the whole performance was phenomenal)
She’s so good how she can still have that much power and sing really high notes pitch perfect. When I sing high notes it just sounds so quiet but when I try to be louder my tone just falls lol
Work on your vocal exercises. (Seth Riggs is a great program). If you can sing a note in falsetto you can also sing it in full voice. Just keep practicing.
Both my parents are famous opera singers in Europe and vocally coached me my entire life. I’ve always wanted to audition for something like this but I feel their massive pressure on my shoulders every time I try to sing. I have a voice and I want the world to hear it. One day, y’all. One day. ♥️
It's not often that a remake is better than the original, but this performance is better than Linda Ronstadt's, by far. Goosebumps every time I listen to it.
I'm not at all embarrassed at the number of times I have listened to this in the past five years and I don't care how many of my friends, family, & neighbors hear me playing it again & again & again! 😊 I just wish she would have stayed the course and made it big in the music industry because she is truly phenomenal.
DAYUM! I'm never easy on cover artists. And to me, Linda Ronstadt is the only one who could ever pull off this song. But, again.... DAYUM. Alisan totally nailed that thing.
Thb this is so far the best voice I ever heard from voice. Never heard blue bayou before but this indeed gave me goosebumps every single time. She could sit down can teach
If this was the best audition of all time, I now know why I don't ever watch the voice! I was just listening to Linda Ronstadt singing this live, and this young woman's flat strained sounding noise is so inferior to that experience.
I spend an embarrassing amount of time watching Voice auditions from all over the world and I still haven't come across a better one. Dorota Osinska's "Calling You" in Poland and Stevie McCrorie's "All I Want" in the UK come to mind, and my sentimental favorite is Gianna Chilla's sound-alike "Kozmic Blues" in Italy, but they still don't match up. She's just stunning.
It's embarrassing how many times I've listened/watched this
meeshell I thought I was the only one
Not at all her voice is insane
Ditto
Brandon sings - me fucking too. Like tooooooo many. Like atleast 40 times now
Linda ronstadt's version is better. It has more clarity and depth, not so nasal sounding, and with every bit as much belt
This is legit one of the greatest auditions of all time
one of the best vocalists to be honest... why is she not famous now?!
@@KN-zo3td Shes been a star forever. Was in numerous movies as a child.
@@Contingentx she's not well known though, that's what I'm confused about
Yup! I never watch "The Voice". But one night I was surfing the channels and I happen to stop and I listened to this audition. I said "there's the winner". Then she went on to win. I didnt watch any other auditions or any of the show. Go Curley Sue!!
@@Contingentx numerous???? 1 movie anyways.
She was the best ever on the voice
TLuv Christina Grimmie is top to me
Yep
Kennedy Holms.... Dafuq
Maelyn this year man
Jordsn smith
that high note at the end never fails to give me goosebumps
Straight across her bridge with no effort. Talent.
Same here
Which one 🥵💀 the very last three or the highest note near the end
same here
Cringe 😖
its unhealthy how many times ive watched this.
ACSW SAME.
hahahaha same here
Lol same. You know how many times i have come back to this performance and every time i do i end up watching it for like 20 minutes or more. 😂
Still obsessing over this in 2024
I was watching a documentary and the song You're nobody till somebody loves you by Dean Martin was mentioned and I instantly remembered the movie Curly Sue which took me down the rabbit hole of Alison Porter and I looked up this song. She is truly AMAZING!
something medical just happened to me on that last note i might need help outcome uncertain
I watched the video again can confirm I live
ikr? the gals octave reach is f*cking _surreal!_ 🎤👍
cyanidepancakes 😂😂😂😂😂😂 same sos
her natural break, sustain, projection, octave reach and sheer belt are just hair-raisingly _stunning_ in this...ugh! 🎤👍😍
Thanks for preserving this...the BEST EVER Voice audition, by far.
Goosebumps every time
What about Wé McDonald's audition. It was beautiful audition. But its slightly embarrassing how many times I've watched this perfection!
@@ChocolateCookii ikr lol...same!! 😅😊 just watched a supposed "best of" that *didn't* include this...pffft! Nobody else even comes close! 🎤👍💯
@Dope Artisan taank chuu 😊 goosies, _still_ ...every time! 😅🎤👍
Did she win?
favorite blind audition of all so far
I can’t stop listening to this live version. The studio version is no where near as good. What a voice !!
KBling Exactly. The studio version is over produced. I hate when they do that.
They never are
Oh yes I just listen to studio version and said nope I want the audition version and then I’m here Again! 😮
@@bambibelle84studio versions aren’t real emotion
@@rk22cc Exactly. I love the live version.
also, props to the camera work because watching this audition is like watching a movie. They hit every mark perfectly
FACTS
This might seriously be the greatest audition of all time
there's no reason she shouldn't be famous
It's up there with Johnny Manuel's audition in Australia's The Voice (he sang Home) for me
her audition is just so very _wonderful_
She’s literally the full package and then some. The vocals? Masterful. Stage presence? Mesmerizing. You could even say she’s a triple threat considering her acting background.
hahahahaha triple threat
You're not WRONG! She's a dancer as well. This is from 2009. A song called, "Into the Fire." She's a beast in so many ways! ruclips.net/video/33OwDJUQEqI/видео.html
Lol I just found out that she won the voice and I was like wait thats Adam Lambert’s best friend 😂
And she's Curly Sue also, like from the movie...
This is a perfect audition song. Shows off your entire range in a short amount of time. Bravo!!!
I feel so bad, got a worried mind
I'm so lonesome all the time

Shave them
Dont be an a$$hole
This still gives me chills. Perfectly pitched voice
Best audition ever. Worldwide. 😯
@montanadoctor x factor
@montanadoctor I did. And it dosen't hold a candle to this performance.
She absolutely KILLS this... WELL DONE
My god she has a therapeutic voice
I listen to her when i have my panic attacks
When she hits the note at 0:56, if you turn up the volume you can hear some guy exclaim, "Oh my God!"
My thoughts exactly.
omg her reaction when she finishes. what an angel 💕
ikr! So cute...didn't even know she had a four chair turn...and the audience breathtaken! 🎤💪🎼😍
She's a gift from God. I've been so depressed and her voice gave my soul the warmest fuzziest hug. Thank you.
I remember watching this and instantly knowing she was going to win the season.
Glad I wasn't wrong.
There was absolutely NO flaws in her performance.
7 yrs later and I still get chills ❤❤❤
By far my favorite audition of ALLLLL TIIIIMMMEEEEE. been rewatching for 2 years lol
That last bit....ooh chills baby
No one will ever be able to top this rendition of this song on the voice.
This performance is intoxicatingly good
I knew in Curly Sue she was gonna be a great singer ❤
I'm so happy I've heard this. She's perfect. Her singing, her vocal control and range and she's beautiful.
I hit that last note every time-in my head.
Curley Sue is all grown up ..and with a beautiful voice as well
Christina turning around and looking at her like Gurl… wtf you doing not famous yet. Absolutely flawless
This version crushes Wendy’s version on this current season.
head the legend Linda Rostandt.....this performance does it amazing justice.....and I watched the movie she was in as a kid,
I always come back intermittently to have some goosebumps ❤️❤️
very moving story a story of instant success in early life then failure addiction then redemption then second chances
Go curly Sue

That high note at the end 😳 just wow ❤️ and yes I just seen this she is amazing 🙌🏼
Gives me chill every single damn time
I've never not gotten goosebumps and teary eyed while watching this and I've seen it a million times
me too it’s insane
:057 she had it. The whole show
At 0:40 when Christina just resigns herself to the beauty of The Voice makes me chuckle every time.
and the sad part about that, if she did not turn that chair around, she would have lost. and it would have scar her for life.
She was too stunned and let her OWN competitive side delay her response.
She was a famous child actor.
Keep coming back to this.
Stay mesmerized every time.
I've never seen a singer be more sure of her range and presence as her. She is amazing!!!!!
Still gives me goosebumps
This is the most beautiful version I have ever heard of this song. Why does she not have an album?
I’ve listened to this more than I care to say...😳
One of my fav performances i come back to listen
I just rewatch for the goosebumps lol every once in awhile, thanks RUclips for putting this video in my recommended vids again lmao
Here after hearing about her grandmothers passing away today, rip Charlotte😇

u can do it. Even if u dont win or become famous you will be glad you tried and your parents will be proud of you
I'm not saying dont do the Voice, but Opera singers have done well on America's Got Talent.
2024 and still 🔥❤️🤟🤟
One word for Alisan. PHENOMENAL!
It's not often that a remake is better than the original, but this performance is better than Linda Ronstadt's, by far. Goosebumps every time I listen to it.
I can listen to this over and over. Sorry Linda

Csodálatos!!!!!!!
Definition of natural beauty
Best audition of all time on all shows. Like holy crap!! Can't get enough and this is a oldie!
BEST Voice champion EVER
2020 during miss rona and im still watching this!!!!
Her performance literally brings me to tears, she's so unbelievably good
Her voice control is fantastic. Shifting octaves seamlessly. I watched it live and years later I remain impressed.
I'm not at all embarrassed at the number of times I have listened to this in the past five years and I don't care how many of my friends, family, & neighbors hear me playing it again & again & again! 😊 I just wish she would have stayed the course and made it big in the music industry because she is truly phenomenal.
I hope everyone watched Black and White Night. A concert that is the Ultimate of its kind! Of Roy.
best voice blind audition of all time
Casi Joy and Alison Porter are hands down best
She SANG that song so Perfectly!
DAYUM! I'm never easy on cover artists. And to me, Linda Ronstadt is the only one who could ever pull off this song. But, again.... DAYUM. Alisan totally nailed that thing.
This was the best audition on the voice
Thb this is so far the best voice I ever heard from voice. Never heard blue bayou before but this indeed gave me goosebumps every single time.

Ugh she gives me CHILLS
She’s so cute she was so committed to the performance that she didn’t even she had all four chairs. Well done!
this girl never fails to give me goosebumps
She should be a superstar. Incredible
The fact I still can’t stop watching this after years
Best contestant on The voice. Not just USA but global.
Still the best in 2021!
Her voice is amazing 👏 Did you all know she was the little girl in the 1991 hit movie Curly Sue.
That was a drop the mic audition. There has been none better since!!!
Stunning performance and voice. Congrats on the winning the Voice.
Best audition of all time!!
only vocal audition/performances that measure up to this were Jackie Evancho's beautiful, angelic arias on AGT. 🎤👍💯
If this was the best audition of all time, I now know why I don't ever watch the voice! I was just listening to Linda Ronstadt singing this live, and this young woman's flat strained sounding noise is so inferior to that experience.
This isn’t an audition this is a winning performance!!!!!!
I cnt stop playing this song I luv her ❤️❤️❤️🇬🇾🇬🇾💃💃she have a sweetheart voice 🤩
