"It's preparing for springtime to come to life again, to look so beautiful for all of us, but as well, to clean the air. Just looking in the distance and seeing the red and knowing that's food for nature, that that beautiful tree has left behind. I would often see birds flock to a tree like that, and nearly all the fruit would be gone. All those berries would be gone. But it has left something behind. It has left food behind for nature, for the birds".

I love trees. Sometimes I wish there were gigantic tree spirit people like the ENTS in lord of the rings. Who speak slowly and consider things slowly.
They are, we just don't hear them, we move too fast and don't pay attention.

I can't remember who it was, but someone who's very attuned to the trees would speak to them and they would speak back. The trees know *every single one of us* ; they love when we appear and immediately connect to us.
They consider us humans as kin and call us "walking trees", which I love so much
I now call myself a "Mani Champazza" or -- "walking tree"
