    I was on a feral cat removal contract for a well known multinational shopping chain and after catching a very large and particularly vicious tom in one of our cages a “knowitall greenie” threw curry powder in my face which burned my eyes and he then attempted to free the feral which promptly bit and scarred him for life😂😂😂

    Done some pigeon clearance in a couple of local town centers a few years back, had to book in with plod before we started at midnight.Had some youths sitting on walls started giving us grief but we ignored them. Then one shouts out 'Here comes a copper, now your for it'. We didn't leg it like they thought we would & plod just walked over to us & started talking, he asked us how many we had shot, we told him 72 & he said 'Well done' & walked off, you should of seen the kids faces!!! Finished at 3.30 am with 133 pigeons & some pissed off kids!.Checked the town later in the week & it hadn't even made a dent. Council now tries to limit the pigeons access to food.

      +Guy Wood, he may have been savaged by an enormous wood pigeon as a baby. I think a gang of foxes may also have stood around laughing at the poor unfortunate...they may have been encouraged to do so by an evil squirrel...a bad influence on any impressionable fox. Possibly unable to satisfy a woman, Roy slaughters innocent birds... who came to town to escape low powered, lame tubby wannabes.

      ^ That you see above (with the Pigeon Profile pic) is the dictionary definition of "But Hurt", commonly found on those with a soft spot for festering disease ridden creatures that defecate throughout the city, safe to assume that he probably votes the same way.
      Seriously though, those pigeons are a pest, there are valid reasons for their removal. It might be ok for you to cry out for their defense, but considering what those with small children living in the area might think of the mountains of shit those things are leaving on the ground, in playgrounds and the people themselves, your stance of mollycoddling those filthy things is untenable. Stop with the warm fuzzies and grow a pair.

    They used a poison feed to kill them, but the poison was too weak and they flew off only to rain down randomly on people and everywhere.
    This method is certain a better and more humane method to control the pests.

    This seems more like a reason to have fun and not really a pest control. If it's really a pest issue on windows and pipes at the mall then those are easily fixed by inserting barbs. That can also be done on the border of the roof tops so that the pigeons can't sit on the edge and crap down on people.

    • @ComfortablyBroke
      @ComfortablyBroke 10 лет назад

      ***** So you're saying is an money issue. A mall doesn't have the money to do such task. It's better to have pigeons and other birds shot at, dead, rot, bring diseases, and smell. Correct me if I'm wrong, the complaint is that birds are pooping in areas they don't want them to be at. To fix it, what I said to do, or as you say, find it cheaper by having people 24/7 sitting and shooting. If it's not 24/7 then the issue will remain and no resolved. Not sure how your theory works.

    • @ComfortablyBroke
      @ComfortablyBroke 10 лет назад

      ***** Do you know how fast pigeons can have more pigeons? It's like rats, they don't stop. While you shoot one another 100 grows. You will never be able to catch up on its birth rate. And trying to wipe out a species in the area even if possible isn't sensible to do. Plus they don't land anywhere, they usually go where food is easily accessible. Once the area is prepped with prongs and forks that they can't land they'll basically travel elsewhere like a public market - where it should have the same thing since I'm pretty sure you can't shoot anything there.

      It is honestly both. As someone who has cleared pigeons for local companies in my area, I can tell you that they are destructive little buggers, and keeping their population in check, be it in the city or in the farmlands is a good thing. When you tend to see the destruction they do, it sorta becomes like shooting field mice in a barn, at first it started as a irritant, later it becomes a sport/target practice or way to make some quick and easy money. When companies pay you roughly $7.50 to $50 a day to clear them out, you tend to stop caring about the morals and realize you are there to do your job.

    • @republicancelt
      @republicancelt 10 лет назад

      you could put barbs up (im a pest controller btw) but it can be expensive and not always as effective as youd think. plus by putting barbs up all that happens is the pigeons move somewhere else, your effectively passing on your pest problems to a neighbour which is wrong and unfair.
      I used to be a survival skills instructor years ago, pigeons are perfectly edible. I think people just need to get over the lies and myths about animals and they could easily be shot or trapped for food just like wood pigeons. a lot of other countries eat feral pigeons, why not us?
