Did a T8 delve as Fury Warrior 588 ilvl, honestly it was so fun but difficult at the same time but managed to do it!
Yeah I managed to do earth mines and sinkhole in 40mins t8 as fury warrior 597 ilvl.
This is probably the first time there has been solo content with a reasonable chance at a fail state since the mage tower. Interested to see Xars thoughts on that as he completes more delves.
The problem is not that there is a state of failure. The problem is how that state of failure is acquired. Mage Tower had actual mechanics you needed to do correctly. This is just make everything hit soo ridiculously hard you cannot possibly survive it. You basically have to be a class that has the ability to CC and kite and mobs because if they touch you with an auto attack you explode.
Trying to do a tier 7 on warrior felt near impossible as it required every single CD for every single pull at 585 ilvl. On a tier 8 it required grouping as i would explode instantly the second the mobs touched me even through defensives. I don't see a world where 15 ilvl makes it so i can magically live mobs auto attacking for over 1 mil damage each unless there is some really weird behind the scenes scaling that is making it even harder based on ilvl then just the stats gear provides.
The life system also makes it feel like this is not the intended way you are supposed to do these, which makes me think the scaling is just off.
@@kylesmith987 Once your item level is higher, the delves won't be hitting so hard. Most people are pretty undergeared for level8+ delves (rec ilvl 600+)

@@kylesmith987 I normally don't like to say this since it sounds so dismissive, but it does sound like you're not using all the tools available to you as I like the fool I am decided to do a T8 on my 562 fury warrior and was able to do this exact delve that Xaryu is doing now as well.
As a whole, if you're struggling super hard at a T7 with 585 then it sounds like you're not waiting for cooldowns or aren't interrupting / crowd controlling mobs as fury warrior has all the tools needed to survive just about every T8 delve with 560 ilvl from my experience, it's most likely down to you either not using all the tools at your disposal or being impatient.
Impeding victory resets, shockwaves, spell reflects, etc really does make it possible to do these as most of the upfront damage does come in the form of bursts, but you also need to do your part to ensure that you're actually moving out of the way of frontal attacks, interrupting everything you can, ccing when possible, fishing for victory rush resets, etc.
One final thing too I'll say is that healer Brann is absolute bait as he does insane amounts of damage as a dps and his 30% execute has saved me so many times as well as baiting mobs over his traps contributing to so much damage to the point where he's generally like 30-40% of the total damage in the delve.
Either way, keep going at it man, it's not as bad as you're claiming it is, but a lot of classes are very limited or have significantly tougher times than others, but I'll say fury doesn't seem like one of them.

Blizzards intention I believe was for people to WORK UP to the highest difficulty but everyone just only wants to use keys on T8 to min/max. I've been seeing 560 players cry about not being able to do content with recommended ilvl of 600. Some of the delves are definitely overtuned though.
Totally agree. I just don’t like the fact that people get around the difficulty wall by just doing delves with a party. I feel like doing delves with other people defeats the whole purpose of delves. Blizzard shouldn’t give the advantage to players not doing delves solo
i agree and disagree. Yeah people at 560 complaining is ridiculous. I however went into a tier 7 at 585 ilvl which was the recommended ilvl and it felt near impossible. I had to wait for every single CD on every single pull or i would just explode. This was as a fury warrior. The scaling feels off the higher you go as a t6 felt significantly easier then a t7. There is no way as a melee class that a t8 delve is going to feel doable by just getting 600 ilvl, the mobs just hit too hard. This is unless there is a hidden scaling factor that is aside from just stats on gear, which is pretty lame if that is true.

@@jcuttyfoe I disagree with the solo thing. They do scale based off the number of people in the party. In the end delves are designed to be able to be done solo but this is still an MMO where playing with other people is a large point of the game and there should be no reason to prevent people from playing together as that is just a strict negative on the game with no benefits.
@@kylesmith987 yea this is my case as well as fury warrior. Barely could do t6 and now I’m stuck trying to complete t7. But meanwhile, people are just passing t6 and 7 and 8 because they party up with others which I find pretty lame and cheap

Was able to do teir 11 with a tank healer combo at 570 ilvl lmao
I did all of these last night (Disc Priest) with friends (ele sham, dk, ret pally) all at 575 ilvl. We stream rolled it very fast and had essentially no deaths AOEing everything down. Bring a healer basically, tank optional.
Completed all 11 tiers as a 588 ilvl prot war
EA had it easy. if you played after... Bruh the later zones it makes no sense lmao.
I've grinded those with my dad and were only 551 and 587 , it worked out and is a pretty good challenge

Some classes are better at doing this than others. I've been soloing all level 8s with Brann as DPS because he's clearly on tren. Affliction Lock and Windwalker, not a problem at all

I did a t8 delve today on my survival hunter with 574pvp gear but zekvir fked me up when i tried that
Zekvir just sat there with 100m+ hitpoints XD, cuz I tried it today aswell and the crab farmed me.
Now imagine healing Bran as he does the damage of a wet noodle while you also have to DPS to compensate and you have all the mobs destroying you.
I completed a solo tier7 (Tak-Rekhan; not bountiful) so far as ilvl 576 feral druid and it was fairly tough. I went guardian halfway for a couple packs but that did not help much either as they were hitting 550-700k with basic melee through 2 stacks of ironfur on my 6m-ish HP bar. I rolled back to feral again for the last part & boss. It took me some minutes but he went down. Your mileage will vary a LOT with skill (as solo it really is up to you), class/spec, Brann's level and role and the delve you are attempting. Whether the boss/trash mechanics are avoidable is very important too.
I'm having a hard time as a feral too, tier 8 just seems impossible to solo, although I used brann as a heal, i'll try him as dps and also need to level him
@krizaxe1 I completed tier8 Skittering Breach yesterday. Still 576 ilvl. I changed Brann to DPS (mine hit lvl15 in the tier7) halfway and it is what made it possible.
On tough mobs and boss, I started the fight with a moonfire. He grabbed aggro and I just kept bleeds without pulling aggro and kept both of us alive when needed. Took it slow and methodical. I had 2 lives left but all were when Brann was healer and I was playing more hands on=risky. I didn't die after changing him to DPS.
Until I get proper gear, this is the way to approach imo.

Even in packs, a lot of the mobs can be pulled solo when they path apart slightly. They're not all tethered.

I've been loving delves. I'm not going past tier 8 at at the moment, but I've gotten 6 nice pieces of gear from them so far 🥳
Delves are super fun. They were super easy before the season started since you maxed at level 3 but once you got to the ilvl 600+ ones, the shit got HARD. I had a ton of fun and its so great to get cool gear from them. The payoff is worth it!

As a prot warrior I kited that boss down the ramp to the other large platform and just kited back and forth. Adds didn’t even come down there.
Just completed my first tier 8 delve as frost mage.. was difficult but fun! Enjoyed the challenge … I used brann as dps for clear and healer on boss
Did that one at Tier 7 with ilevel 582 yesterday (cloth too) and it was a genuinely fun challenge; died once right at the start like you did and realized I had to go far more tactical, going to try the 8 at 587 tonight!

What i also found out the scaling dramatically feels insanely easer when taking 4 people into a t8 vs a full 5 stack. Could be a placebo effect but I swear we blitzed the T8 with 4 but struggled with 5

Soloed em all as demo 580 ilvl, brann as a dps is crazy strong.
He can easily solo the bosses by DPS, just make sure he (and you) don't die.
Letting Brann carry the load is the way to go until gear catches up. He does stupid DPS and can tank everything no worries as a DPS
On Unholy DK it seems to be quite doable but still extremely hard, sitting at 597 il now thanks to the insane loot from the Delves.
i wish you try "the dread pit" solo t8 on mage
45 mins for what's supposed to be quick and short solo content. They are also using them as gearing content. You have to have equal gear as what they reward. Great idea that they failed in the tuning. Not everyone is a WoW hardcore streamer.
Probably hard to tune around different classes. Maybe they need to make Brann tank, cuz on my warlock and hunter around 585 I can do t8 with 1-2 deaths. But I also don't stand in charges/beams/swirlies
You get pretty insane weekly rewards on heroic raid(!) level and more. T8 already means ilvl 616 as weekly. T7 610.
Of course they can't just let you farm heroic raid gear.
The recommend item level is for doing it smoothly without much challenge.
Did a T9 yesterday with 25(!) ilvl less than recommended.

Tier 10 was impossible, did one of the delves in Azj-Kahet, had a gear-check mob spider and mounted one on top, hit insanely hard, venom volley 1-3 shotted. Impossible with 596 gear to solo xD
Caster are by far the worst and you really have to interrupt them as much as possible, but even then, and especially solo with limited interrupts, it will likely not be enough. Really need something to dispell that poison then.

Done 2 lvl 7s arcane was actually better than frost but was using bran as a healer I might try him as DPS after reading the comments was quite challenging

may i add how much i hate how they sold thiese delves as solo content when being in groups is a HUGE advantage. ressing people doesnt take any life's and u just run throug everything

He was seriously nerfed to the ground. Seems everybody used a bug without even knowing making bran stronger the higher the level was.

Brann as DPS kinda just lets him tank too. I just barely touch stuff then lit him cook a few seconds and all the casts go on him. Its not been too bad at all even as 580 dps specs.
Did level delves up to 7 with arcane, was kinda hard but okay if u wait for burst windows.
A friend told me he does it in frostfire frost.... easiest time of my life no matter cds or anything just go in and blast 😂
High tier delves on cloth wearing classes just plain sucks
edit: I just formed a public group and we blasted through like a Heroic dungeon. 10/10 would recommend for any clothies out there (unless you want the challenge, once was enough for me)

It's crazy seeing this. I'm a DK, and I knew they wouldn't be able to successful in balancing this perfectly. But I literally rolled through 4 8s in 35min at 580ilvl and at no point did I feel at risk.
cuz you're playing the most broken brain dead class for delves lol. Esp if you're a blood DK, but the DPS versions are just as much brain dead.

for anyone thats struggling have brann as dps and let him tank dont frontload your dmgm hes more robust than you think

I barely lost an HP doing tier 8 with a tank. xD Some mechanics and spells do hurt but so far It was an easy run for 600+ ilvl gear which is great. But i think for a dps its a different story.
Like 3rd streamer in a short while that has crabs that ive seen. Do alot players have arachnophobia?
ima rogue and t8 solo delvrs are my favorite. i can just tricks brann with 1hour duration and sneak past most mobs

Delves in a group is sadly very easy. However i do enjoy the challenge it brings as a solo since you cant just rush through and megapull everything, shit hurts if you dont interuppt, kite, cc, Los etc.
Well I think whole idea is to be fun and challenging at the same time for solo players
@@Akon998 Yeah really dont mind at all. I soloed to 8 at first and bcuz it was so challenging at first it made me relook how i engaged certain packs. It is nice to know though that if you feel like it you can also run it as a group.
How do he gets Brann to hold aggro? I get aggro all the time in these delves...
Finished some Delves level 8. But 9....is to much for me. As a Retri I need to heal so much and always use all cds
I did this today as blood dk pretty easy really
8:00 mirror images, bud, split that agro and soak out a few hits. Also helps keeps mobs clumped and with kiting range. Images/blizzard etc.

Ice barrier alone is crucial.. but you can strategy out 2-3 packs on some pulls..
I've been noticing chain pulling is effective.. burn half, keep pullin, keep burning as you run through..
Ice comets, orbs, split lances, ice nova.. unfortunately frost bomb is not usable. Sadge.
*Spellslinger for shards and reduced CD frozen orbs. And blastwave, for 2nd interrupt and repositioning mobs and gap.
Also pulling mechanics.. spell steal on multiple packs to clump, (nova/cone)
Time to start stocking up on invis potions. 😂😂😂😂
Another gimmick to try is the trinkets that summon some target to fight for you.. the mobs will/can proxy, and stall the agro onto you, as well.. kinda like a makeshift limited mirror image.. or faux target dummies.
Also.. [royal dagger haft]. Might save your ass. ✌️😜

On my shaman a boss on lvl 8 auto attacked me for 350k a sec with 2x60 million hp. That was on mail with a shield! 😂
When you want to tank mobs, you need to play a tank, else try to stay away from them as long as possible - and use your earth elemental, that's your op tank thing.

Haven't played since Shadowlands and this literally looks like a less fun torghast lmao. yeah torghast got old but the random powers at least made the runs different. Definitely going to wait and see what the next expansion holds with metzen actually guiding them versus him joining when TWW was already completed with the same rehashed ideas from past expansions. I get it's some peoples jobs to talk positive about the game to keep it going and everyone saying how well it's doing but the hype isn't there.
So basically it can't be done solo all the way through unless you are overpowered already
That's for that whole season, not that week. No one says you have to do max level delve the first week.

trouble with 8's is they are infinaty easier with a group. like too easy.
I did them all with my sv hunter with 585 ilvl and it was a pain. MD to md all the time and try to kill everything as fast as i could 1 pack at a time. Tried with my elemental shammy and couldnt passe the big kobolts wioth 30M hP xD

Yo, set Brann to DPS. he'll tank for you most the time and you will be able to invis without resetting. if he dies he will just be stunned for like 30 seconds and i don't believe it counts to the death count for completion.
Yeah and healer ive read somewhere is not working good. Always bran DPS is the way
DPS Bran carries. And correct. He can die a million times. Doesn't affect death count.

arcane is the worst for solo in delves even tho it has the highest dmg mage spec, frostfire frost is way more suited for delves imho

I just failed that boss, 7 attemts, and im 10 ilevel higher, devestation evoker, i lost 40% hp each time it hit me... wtf i gave up
You have to kill the adds before they empower the boss. Can be hard to do if you get bad placement on the ground degen especially for true melee like monk/warrior/etc.

I think it depends on which delve you're doing, because some are definitely easier than others. Did a regular fungal tier 8 as practice and got completely annihilated. Chanced a bountiful nerubian tier 8 and whilst it was by no means easy, I managed to get through it. These were both on my 580 WW Monk.
How are people struggling with 8s...I did my 4 bountiful with no issue
pretty sure the casters aren't scaled properly. melee mobs dont do shit, casters hit you for 1/3 of your life bar
Depends on the Delve, there are some melee mobs that absolutely truck you still but generally the casters are the big threat. If you are ranged and can kite easily then even the dangerous melee mobs aren't bad though.
And yess blizzard are aholes for buffing it lol

Cleared tier8 The Dread Pit with an ilv575 BM hunter 0 death in 15mins. It is so unbalanced and overtuned for some class.
Keep grinding that gear. So in 1 month they'll release an update that gives catch up for new players and they'll catch up to you in 1 week.
Keep wasting that time.
