    It was on a road I've driven hundreds of times so you more or less know where to pay more attention(exits from shops, streets, etc.) and just randomly he breaks.
    Asked him why he stopped and he said he didn't know.
    No damage to either so we just drove off luckily.

    With the tow truck video, Most highways or Interstates if your towing anything you have to stay to the right and for Big Rigs it's 55 miles an hour, still the tower was completely in the wrong

    • @RealDiehl99
      @RealDiehl99 Год назад +3

      Respectfully, that's not entirely accurate. I am a truck driver. It is true most interstates have restrictions along specific areas of the highway. Mostly it is to keep trucks and trailers out of the left lane. More rarely you'll see signs that require trucks to use the right lane only. Usually in areas where there are a lot of hills. In some construction zones you'll actually see signs telling trucks to use left lane only. Some states restrict trucks to 55mph in larger areas (Tennessee, Illinois, Indiana) but the 55mph speed limit is not for the entire state. California is the only state that has a statewide truck/trailer speed limit of 55.

    • @peensteen
      @peensteen Год назад +2

      @Michael Diehl Thank God. If I was stuck behind a tractor trailer doing 55 mph, I'd lose my mind. I get my highway mail route done faster, the truck driver gets to drop and load faster. Everybody wins.

    • @RealDiehl99
      @RealDiehl99 Год назад

      @travis castillo I agree. Most truck drivers, especially the ones who are paid by the mile, hate going into California. Slower speeds=fewer miles=less pay. Safely getting from point A to point B as quickly as possible is the way most Drivers make money. Slowing trucks down is considered safer. Although one could argue that slowing trucks down creates more issues for 4-wheeled vehicles trying to get around us in traffic and could potentially lead to more accidents. Stay safe out here, Travis!

    If Highway and Freeway barriers didn't give way they would be 10X deadlier. Many modern roadways today have some form of breakaway or water barriers. Even old metal wood/aluminum barriers were designed to form and not break at high speeds. As an old CDL driver I've seen these results firsthand and they work.

    The one at 14:57 gives me flashbacks to my visit to California and the surrounding states. I was there with a few buddies, all from Switzerland. I had just acquired my drivers license before the trip. We were driving on a three-lane highway. The left lane was a carpool lane, meaning only cars with more than two passengers were allowed to use it (weird environmental protection measure to incentivise pooling). Since there were four of us, we qualified. So we're cruising at 80 mph, when I spot something weird way up ahead. After a few seconds of observing it, I decide to merge with the middle lane. Another few seconds later, I see a huge roll of paper or something, about 1 m in diameter and 2 m in length, zooming past me on that carpool lane. Pretty scary. The other one was the one with the rebar sticking out of the back of a truck without a flag on it, but we'll safe that one for another time ...

The term for loading a steel coil parallel to the side of the trailer so that it can roll into the back of the cab on a flatbed trailer is actually called 'suicide'. 6:05 Why the f*ck did they stop on a freeway, it looks like that silver Mercedes at 6:11 at the very front totally stopped, for what reason idk. Maybe to get into the lane to its left.
    Maybe there was a car in front of the Mercedes that stopped. I can't see it if there was but it definitely seems like something a Mercedes driver would do, they might be worse than BMW drivers.
    Either way you DON'T stop on a freeway unless for an emergency.

    I was in the passenger seat. No seatbelt. Going bout 65, my dude hydroplaned, he tried to save it, caught some dry pavement and we went straight into a hill. Rolled 3-4 times I guess. I woke up on my hands and knees on the seat. Once the airbag came out it knocked me out. Glad it did cause I prob would've went straight through the windshield. Happens so fast.

    Lol like there aren't plenty of potholes and people trying to kill you in California. Also, those 8 lanes of highway are congested as hell, and some of those people in their cars are armed. Super situation for a motorcycle.

    sometimes safe drivers really are the bad drivers they are too cautious and they follow the speed exactly when most times you just can't. its not me I worry about on the road its others who feel they own the road and everyone else has to watch out for them.
