It's such a miracle of an Ukranian 4 piece unit. After listening their catalogue several times still can't believe it. So good! Top shelf!
agreed...
Jinjer - Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev)
Jinjer - On The Top (Live in Kiev)
Jinjer - Who Is Gonna Be The One (Official Live)
Jinjer - Judgement & Punishment (Tatiana One Take Vocal)
Jinjer - Teacher Teacher (Official Video)
Jinjer - Captain Clock (Live at Resurrection Fest 2018)
I didn't have some of these. Thank you!
This entire album is a complete masterpiece. Must watch Call Me A Symbol, Disclosure, Wallflower, Mediator.
Noted, doll.
Call me a symbol is one of my favourites
I'll check it out... JINJER on Saturday June 29
The sound on this one was perfect. If you're wanting to hear a newer one try retrospection. I'm a metalhead from way back and after white zombie I sort of got away from music but this band has restored a child of the sixties.
Awesome, thank you. And I'm a restored child of the 70s
Jinjer - Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev) and official vid double reaction is a must......
Combining them on my list just for you...
Audiotree just today uploaded a special studio interview with the entire band. They played three live songs in studio for the interview, and this was the first one. When she got to that part where she drops the bass she went even lower than in the album version. It was incredible.
I'll have to check that out.
Yeah just watched it. The live version of this is better than this even.
I'll be covering their live performances too... stay tuned.
I have taken music very seriously for over 50 years because it is the most beautiful thing in the world...!
I've been a musician for over 40 years and have loved music since I was a kid...
different styles of music, funk, rock, acid jazz, fusion, rap, ... not necessarily metal, but that has changed a lot for me in the last 7 years ever since I saw Jinjer.............
There are many metal bands I've listened to in the last 7 years, but Jinjer is so much more than a metal band, IMO one of the best bands....
Vortex is a good example of that, simply world class!!!
By the way, your sound is much better in this Jinjer video than before ;-)
lovely greetings from germany
Danke. I started school in Germany. My father was in the U.S Air Force, stationed at Rammstein AFB.
Thank you for watching and for the comment.
Jinjer could hold a master class on composition, based on my limited experience.
@@VocalCitizen I absolutely agree! > "Jinjer could hold a master class on composition"
How old were you when you returned to the States with your parents?
and if you started school in Germany > ich wünsche dir noch einen schönen Tag
All I know is what they teach kids in kindergarten through 3rd year. So, the bad words and "Arbeit mach das Lieben suis." I think that means "work makes life sweet". I can count as well... and bless you if you sneeze. 🤣 I do remember we went on dozens and dozens of Volksmarches and travelled all over Europe. Got to see Fourth of July fireworks over the Rhine one year.
@@VocalCitizen thanx for letting me share a little of your memories... > Arbeit macht das Leben süß > "work makes life sweet"
Well, I know how to pronounce it. They taught us that in first grade. So, I was 5 years old. Yet, that phrase falls out of my mouth multiple times a year. I wasn't taught how to spell it. LOL but I CAN count to 20...
MUCH better audio from video! Thank you. Overall audio volume is low though. I recommend 'Pit of Consciousness (Live in Kiev) Napalm Records.'🤘
I'm so glad... I know the volume's gotta come up a smidge, but it's better than shattering your souls. I'll let Jinjer do that. "Pit of Consciousness" will be available soon. 😜
Soooo good.
I'm stoked.
Oh hell yes! This one is fierce!
I've listened to it like 20 times, head banging. My Yorkie knows I'm nuts and I now have a headache. 🤘🏻😍
@VocalCitizen Yeah, they'll do that. Gotta constantly remind myself I can't headbang like I did in my younger days without running the risk of hurting my fool self....
I'll die headbangin'. It's just gotta be that way.
6:34 and now we know where Tatiana is channeling her growls from
Right?! NUTS...
Hey... you're officially the first to know that "Pit of Consciousness" (Live in Kiev) is going up tomorrow... plus another * but I'm not tellin' which * 😏
You are right in the chorus it says "in a half an hour or so it crashed the floor and smashed the man's toes".
Sweet...
Sit Stay Roll Over is a face melter…seat belts required lol.
gotcha LOL
@@VocalCitizen the OMV is one they designed themselves, unlike most of their videos where they've let video folks do all the production. Certainly not disrespecting though, they have consistently great videos and I never get the sense that they skimp on them but rather see them as an investment.
Yeah this video is a mind*ck. I LOVE IT.
You heard those lyrics right! Tati is an absolute Poet! Do yourself a favor and make sure to read the lyrics either before or after but READ them! Tati puts her emotions and soul out there for everyone, and as a major introvert and procrastinator, this can often be a painful process for Tati (and the band)! So much so she wrote a song about it, Wallflower. Seriously, she did. And now that you've seen the Vortex OF with studio mixed sound, do yourself a favor and go watch the LIVE version from Hellfest 2021! Whether you do a reaction to it or just watch it for your own pleasure, just do it!
PS--I would have included a link to that Hellfest 2021 version, but some people don't like links in comments and sometimes the comment gets deleted if it has a link.
Well as a former band promoter, I always prefer the live and impromptu performances, so thanks for the suggestion. And I always go back after my reactions and re-listen with lyrics. I take music quite seriously.
Lastly, I have to grudgingly admit that I do, indeed, ROCK because I'm finally able to understand Tati now.
Old ears and such... if you don't know, you will. 🙉
@@VocalCitizen Haha! Well, I was born before 1970 and discovered Jinjer in 2017 and LOVE them! I'm the old graybeard guy up on the rail!
The lyrics to Outlander are some of her best.
1972 here
Just a '69 kid.
Everyone will be throwing songs at you now, so here's my wind-up and pitch: Home Back (official video), and Wallflower (official video), along with this one you just did are my top 3 Jinjer songs. Home Back hits you in the face, and Wallflower is very different from they're "typical" stuff.
On my list, doll.... Thank you for watching!
It's jinjer time and I'm here. Outlander and cloud factory are my favorite songs but it's jinjer and every single song is good. There's just some you will like more than others and that's the beauty of your own opinion.
I’m open to and appreciative of all music… If I don’t love a song, I’ll still have positive things to say.
This whole album (Wallflowers) is brilliant. When it came out I listened to nothing else for several weeks until I forced myself to back off because I was afraid eventually I'd burn out and I didn't want that. The prior album Macro and EP before that Micro are great too. They've been steadily growing in sophistication with each album, but they're all great albums though.
I love watching the natural evolution of artists. I'm very impressed with Jinjer thus far. Keep your eyes peeled for more from this amazing artist!
given your preference to this over the other 2, i'd say you're probably gonna like the _Wallflowers_ and _Macro_ albums best.
getting Vlad in the band was a real game-changer in terms of their music writing.
So I hear... thanks for those album suggestions. I'll definitely check them out when I've exhausted my reaction options. 🙃
The audio of the music is good enough, it's your own that's kinda garbled, but hey.. we still hear you.
Well this is the most accessible one from their latest, Wallflowers from 2021. (We're still waiting for new stuff, Tati, get moving, girl)
3 rec's:
- A step back to their Micro EP with 'Teacher teacher' OMV (this one's unavoidable anyway, so don't avoid it)
- Awesome 'Ape' from the same EP
- An older gem 'Outlander', the failure color version pls (yes, the one with lousy 9M views)
See you next time
The sound is getting better as I film. Thank you for the requests and for watching!
Maybe the volume is a bit low on this one, but the sound quality is *much* improved - thanks for that!
You mentioned in one of you Jinjer reactions that you "dabbled" in drums. Are you a musician?
I usually only subscribe to musicians for music reactions, but you're super cool, so I subscribed regardless.
Vlad is a really unique musician among metal drummers. He's a classically trained pianist who also plays guitar and, obviously, drums, and I think he's self - taught on the latter 2 instruments. For a metal drummer, his style is very jazzy, which suits the band very well. Since he joined in 2016, he has taken on the role of a leading composer of Jinjer's music.
There are some great Vlad drum playthroughs out there that you might like to react to. My favourites are Under the Dome and Mediator live. I will point out that the Mediator drum playthrough lacks vocals, and you really shouldn't miss out reacting to the song in all its ferocious glory, so I'd recommend that you react to the official music video first.
Cheers!
You just made my whole f'n week and it's only Sunday!
Thanks, Hemlock. 🙃. Vlad is fascinating to watch (when they show him). I did pick up on the jazz influence. That adds a yummy texture to the song. I'll check out the playthroughs because I'd like to study his techniques. I found his fills fascinating.
I'm constantly learning in life - because I don't want my brains to be able to fit through the gates of Hell. The pearly gates are much wider. That being said, I'm currently learning piano, French, and advanced law studies before my last year of law school. In my 30s, I threw caution to the wind and bought a 6-piece trap set with Zildjians as my jewelry. Double bass kicks...
I can still play Metallica's "Fuel" and "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" fairly well. It's been years, though... 🥁
@@VocalCitizen You're even more awesome than I thought. We'll chat more as you post more Jinjer reactions. Looking forward to it!
As am I.
useless comments, useless stopping, useless ...
speaking of useless comments... LOL
Seriously, if you're going to criticize (which I welcome), be suggestive and specific, dear heart... 😆
