100% agreed on a lot of Armor All is used, I washed two trucks and a 43' long 5th wheel and nearly used the entire bottle between 3 foam cannons and buckets, but the results were outstanding. My one truck is Ceramic coated, and the Armor All enhanced it more than the recommended ceramic wash ever did. I just didn't see the same results in this video as I did with the Armor All. A simple foam, wash, rinse and it shined the entire car. I don't see anything with this Meguiars, and I am a firm user of Meguiars, that would entice me to use it.
I made this same mistake. You are supposed to add soap, water, and then sio2 boost. the boost is supposed to float on the top and gives you the hydrophobic effect like crazy.
Just reread the bottle, yep. I think I’ll definitely try it again tomorrow now. I was fairly disappointed after the first time cause I love meguiars products. I feel like it’s a mistake that most people are going to make and not realize it though. I hate to say it but armor all is “point and shoot” is definitely the easiest to use so far with amazing results
@@9NailzGarage Dude same lol I asked someone who helped develop the product wtf I was doing wrong and he mentioned the thing about the boost and how it works. Night and day difference. I have a video coming up right now showing my mistake and then the right way.
Subscriber! Hello from France 🇫🇷 Meguiar's hybrid ceramic wash and wax will make an excellent shampoo to maintain coatings !. I can't wait to receive mine!
Great review, I did one as well and I must have messed up the ratio because at first it didn’t work. When I read the directions it seems as if the car wash was first, then the water, then the sio2 lol I don’t know how I messed it up
Thank you! Yea I wasn’t the biggest fan of this car wash, I think the low suds is weird and then the hydrophobic properties aren’t near as good as others.
@@9NailzGarage as soon as I added the sio2, all of the suds evaporated lol and I only got the protection that I did on the car because I doubled up the sio2 boost and it smeared all over the car like maple syrup
These videos are great thank you for the reviews, however I do think that when testing the hybrid ceramics, using a power washer isn’t an ideal way of “testing” if anything your taking it off, Maybe use a cup n poor it on the hood to test? Just a thought.
This is true, but a lot of us use pressure washers for everyday washes so it might be ideal for them. I like to see water directly poured onto the panel as it seems to show the hydrophobic properties better. I usually demonstrate it with a water bottle or hose to customers etc
just discovered your channel . . and I have a question: Do you recommend anything for removal of tree sap. I live among a bunch of huge old douglas fir trees . . . building a carport - so now I'd like to remove lots of sap that has accumulated over the past 4 years.
Glad you found me! I hate tree sap, always avoid parking anywhere near pine trees. I don't deal with pine sap too often but when I do I usually use goo gone, after the sap is gone make sure to get the goo gone off with some detailing spray, or wash the car again. Good luck!
@@9NailzGarage thanks for your speedy reply. I'm currently using a meguiar product that cleans really good . . . . gets all the dirt attached to the sap and even softens the sap a little bit . . . which gave me hope that their might be an even better product out there that might go a little further. I did try goo gone on a few spots a while back . . . but was worried it might F up the paint. Because I have so many spots . . . I wonder if I could make a wash solution out of it with hot water and apply it with a mitt like I do the meguiar . . and yes .. . I agree . . I need to rinse it quickly and thoroughly.

Wash and waxs are ok for maintenance only. Utilizing it as a primary mode of protection is futile. If you're going to wax it wax it. Or just ceramic coat it.
With all this high tech stuff today and zillion choiCES . I swear the 88 cent can of simonize back in 1978 was still the best wax to use. You had to do a 2ft by 2ft section or the wax hardened and you really broke your ass .
That stuff is way too gimmicky. Plus the two different stages you have to do is a FAIL on Mequiars part. I would almost guarantee you that this stuff will be on the shelves of Big Lot's or some other discount bargain center in a year and completely GONE in two. I don't think most consumers are going to want to go through all those steps just to wash a vehicle. Especially at the $20 price point. I can get a GALLON of P&S Pearl Auto Soap for less than that (just got a gallon for about $17 with a coupon code, works super well, and does three things, WASH SOAP, FOAM CANNON SOAP, and RINSELESS WASH. Their claim that the Si02 would "stick" to the microfiber mitt separately? No, that's a FAIL and a TOTAL MARKETING HYPE. And people believe that stuff???????????
@sixsixST2 I'm not reviewing the product and never stated I was. I'm just stating as a CONSUMER, I would never purchase it for the reasons stated. Hey bud, if it works for you, absolutely fantastic. Wonder if it would work on my lawnmower? Awesome job!
I’ve used the spray stuff on the lawnmower, it works great!
I wonder if I could just put a cap of Megs hybrid ceramic wax spray into my foam cannon with some Megs gold class car wash.

I'll be the Volkswagen guy and get curious about those wheels you have on there. What are and what size did you go with?
They are sparco wheels and I believe they’re 18in. They were on the car when I bought it. I really like the way they look though

What about longevity?
When did washing a vehicle become so complicated with products?
It’s going to become a Major at Universities!!! LOL!😎
Another great video! Informative and to the point!!
