Back then, taking a photo was almost like an event. You didn't just press that trigger because it was impossible. You had to prepare. And for that reason, that one picture that captured a moment in your life, was much more appreciated.
Exactly. And in the case of instant photography, to hold in your hand a photo that was physically present at the time the photo was made is cool in and of itself. The Same light that fell upon your subject at the moment in time the shutter snapped fell upon the instant photo. A instant photo is more of a moment frozen in time, than any other type of photography in my opinion and because of that it has an intrinsic value to it that digital or lab-process photos just don't have.
This was so cool and relaxing! You've done a great job keeping this significant piece of technology in great condition. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures you take in the field.
I found this channel from your Minecraft series on the gaming channel. These video, that I'm just seeing now even though some are 5+ years old, are absolute gold for relaxing! Thank you good sir!
@@RelaxingASMR Im sorry but what I'm saying is that there is a channel called @spinningknifeproductions an asmr channel and I'm not sure if its yours or there's just look at one of their videos intro's No hate
How interesting! This is so cool. The use of polaroid cameras was phasing out around the time I was born so I never really got to see one be loaded and see how the mechanism works. It would be exciting to see it take pictures! Awesome video thanks! (:
Hello! I recently been watching asmr videos and your videos are the best ones I've seen and heard! Thank you! I soecifically enjoy the soft spoken videos and electronics videos. I hope to see more from you! Happy holidays!
I've recently seen a couple of 250 Land Cameras in stores here in Hong Kong. They appear to be refurbished units. None that I've seen is in as good condition as yours, however.
Once again, another great video. The cool thing about this camera is that with this specific type of instant film, you can do emulsion transfers of the image and set it onto almost any medium (e.g. hand-made Japanese rice paper). The process is a little involved, but could make an amazing video too. For those interested, here's a site on how to do it: www.alternativephotography.com/wp/processes/fuji/fuji-emulsion-lift Here are a few examples of what an image looks like: 500px.com/search?utf8=%E2%9C%93&page=1&q=emulsion+transfer&type=photos&category=&order=score&license_type=-1
The godfather strikes again. You could earn some cash selling that to a collector. Its pristine. I think the warranty may have expired tho. Be funny to see you register that on their website. I remember my dad used to get Polaroid stuff. Think he had an instamatic? Camera. Top man r/asmr, and another top vid
"You can tell it's the 1960's simply by looking at the hairstyles" i love your little sparks of humor lol

I can definitely tell the production quality of these videos has really gone up. Thanks, Godfather!
This is beyond pristine! This is SMITHSONIAN quality stuff, wow!
This is always a good channel to go to when I need to relax enough to study for exams
Wow always amazed by the variety of items you have! Very cool and great ASMR as always.
I can’t be the only one that’s here 8 years later lol

The sound of the bellows being extended for the first time is super soothing
One of my favourite cameras, I've own two and an SX-70. Yours is beautiful!!
You take such good care of your stuff I can't believe it all still works.
I seriously check for a new video nightly before bed. Thanks for making my Thursday!
This is amazing! I love looking at pieces of history and seeing how far technology has come along! Thanks for sharing!

@@RelaxingASMR you have a keen eye good sir!!!
Am I the only one who misses the Spinning Knife intro?
Nope, I miss it too. I really liked the sound it made.
Ya know that the spinning knife intro isn't his
It's not mine??? Looks like my desk and my knife.

Really enjoyed this one. I've fallen asleep to it a couple times. Just managed to finish it. I was hoping to see you take a couple photos with it.
Joseph Simko I took it out int he field and shot a few photos. Hope to post the video soon:)
The beginning made me remember my mom buying flash cubes for her 110 camera!
Nice Asmr !!! Love your vídeos from Dom. Rep.
Use your Polaroid camera for Kids
Parties or special occasions.
Love that new logo intro! :)
You should get an electrical flash bulb to put in that camera. There should be retrofit kits available nowadays.
Great idea to use the camera. Theyre made for creating with!
Glad to see you uploaded again! Would you consider doing another baseball card video in the future?
Look forward to your next video worth the camera !!
Your voice sounds identical to Johnny Cashes. I can't help but hear it every time you speak!
Could you please put the links for the battery holder and film? That will be hellpfull. Thanks!

I have a 420 land camera, I'm curious where you found the battery holder with the snap connectors that match the camera?
+Lowell Stevens Just do an ebay search for "battery holder for polaroid land camera":)
huh no one made a joke about 420, dang you have a good audience.
Perfect video! Can you do one using
An spirograph please?
Just love the idea of an ASMR video using a spirograph
the real question is is the switch bigger?
I reckon that warranty has expired!
Film for this is now over $100 a pack. That thing is MINT!

mickey leboeuf very cool
My grandfather has one of these, albeit quite a bit older and in somewhat worse condition
my fav !
Where did you get it?
I liked my land camera, but I had to switch to the sea camera because they stopped making film for this one.
I just got your message, my apologies! Great video
Does this particular model have USB? LOL!!!
40:00 Murphy's law :D
You can't use the camera because it uses a 12.6v battery witch were made illegal because of the material it used
Now the camera is 55 years old😬
Hope to use it again:)
@@RelaxingASMR that would be great, if you get a go pro and do a walk and take photos whiles talking 😁
You should go on Pawn Stars with that
MissAllanPoe1989 honestly he wouldnt get much, they are super cheap and that show is setup
