I love these, I got the pattern late at night, then the next day I made 2 of them, now I went through my scraps (not all of them) to see what I had big enough for the outsides, I now have 74 pieces ironed, and ready to be marked, and cut out (I will cut them out when I'm in the mood to sew them), I have a bolt of good muslin, I can use for the insides. Your description says they can be used for coins, or masks, I think they would also be good for carrying dog pick up bags. Thank you for sharing Your Time, and Your Talent with all of us. Great instructions by the way.
This is really great - I just bought your pattern this morning and sat to watch the whole tutorial through. Thanks so much for your clear instructions, steady video, and thorough explanations. I really appreciate that you explain the reasons WHY as you go - I never knew why you should cut on straight of grain! This is the second product I've purchased from you and I love both (I actually purchased a third product today, but I'm afraid it might be too hard for me - we'll see!).
I have followed this tutorial for my second batch of Key Fobs.... A fabulous and pretty way to use up my scraps. They are amazing and a huge hit among all my friends and teaching colleages. Ran out just before Christmas and had to make more this week......... Thanks
I have made several of these and I have to say I love the way yours are constructed, in fabric and no raw edges...I love your videos. No nonsense, attention to detail, and very professional. Thank you...keep em coming!
Thank you for your kind comments and thank you for buying the pattern! Have fun making the pouch., They are sort of addictive because they go together so quickly.
I used non-woven heavy weight pelon to stabilize the bias edge and then the pattern fit perfectly onto a 10" layer cake square with some left over. I plan to make one of these for everyone of my friends with dogs. Perfect for attaching to the handle of a leash to hold the plastic bags! Thank you for the pattern and the tutorial!
Hi Rosie, I recognized the accent; I lived in Brooklyn for 8 years back in the 1970s! Then have lived in CT for many years. Now I'm in Oklahoma (Oklahoma?!) because we retired and followed our married son with the 4 grandsons here; he's a professor at a university. Thanks for the tutorials!
Thank you. Had a bit of fun with scraps and made mine. Made one small change. Instead of the key ring, I added a wrist strap with a swivel hook. This way I can wear it on my wrist, attach it to something else, such as another bag, and of course, a key ring.
Hi Rosie, I loved this pattern. I have already made to in the last 12 hours. They don't take very long to make and that's a really good thing. My suggestion would be to the also Interface the one and a quarter strip. By doing this it even secures those Sides even better. I was amazed at what a difference that made in the to that I had made. I am sure in the last year though You have improved this pattern. Also by doing this small change it allows a credit card to be slipped inside very easily. Again I want to thank you for this Pattern. You did a great job in explaining it.
Thank you so much for taking the extra time to explain every little detail. The grain of the fabric and bias are important things to know and extra long zipper very helpful. I can't wait to make one
i just made a few of these and they are a great pattern and make a great gift. one thing i changed and it made it much easier to add the key fob. above the top stitch where the key fob goes i did a zig zag size 5 all the way across and it took some of the bulk down as well as kept all material under the fob.
Just purchased the pattern and made one today. Thank you for the very detailed video - my only struggle was with the stitch in the ditch! But it turned out okay. Now I've got to get to the shop to purchase tons of the hardware so that I can prepare Christmas presents! Thank you again!
Bought the pattern and because I’m not kin of using bias tape to conceal inside edges I stitch those corners before turning it right side out. Now, it is a little tricky because it is tiny and there is a bit of pulling but definitely doable. I enjoyed making them and already making a few for a bag party I have. Thank you for the pattern!!
There is a way to sew the corners with the sewing machine that gives a finished result. I didn’t use that method because I wanted the binding to give a little more strength to the bag. I may show that method is a future video because it is pretty neat!
Rosie's Art Studio What I did was after sewing the corners together I left my seam allowances without trimming them. Once I turn it right side out that extra seam allowance works kind of the same and gives it a bit more structure too. I love them!!❤️❤️
FYI: in the past I was not a fan of binding but I am learning to use it. Learning to make it, sometimes a bit wider and play around with it for a bit. Is it prefect no but I am learning.
Thank you for being so thorough in all of your tutorials. Also thank you for making the patterns affordable and easily accessible. Most RUclipsrs make you go through so many hoops to purchase anything from them and then ask for a kidney as payment in exchange. I’ll definitely be subscribing and looking forward to more sewing tutorials in the future.
Very nice, clear tutorial. Thank you for such a reasonably priced pattern. I purchased it before I even watched your video. I downloaded this RUclips video so it will be handy next time I want to use it.
Wow, first time seeing your video 7 i had to purchase your pattern. Your so right this would be perfect for all my scrap materials. THAAAAANK YOU!!! :)

Thanks for a great video for a wonderful pattern that has a fair price. I too bought the pattern before I finished the video! I am going to make a bunch of these for gifts too!
What a cool little pattern!! I see a bunch of these as Christmas gifts:). Excellent video tutorial, detailed and articulate. Had a last making mine-thanks!!
I love to hear that people are making the projects. I am glad that you had fun with it and I think they would be great for Christmas gifts. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for a great video as being a beginner was easy to follow. I bought the pattern straight away. Just finished it but I found that when sewing the bottom, the middle layers where zip was sewn was shorter, 1 /4" both sides, than the folded outside. I don't know what I did wrong but cut corners to at least get straight line before sewing.
Thank you! As with any sewing project, cutting and maintaining the proper seam allowance are very important. I know for myself if I deviate a little on either, I may need to make an adjustment.
Yes, I love this key fob. And even better, I love that you gave a tutorial right here so we can make it. Thanks so much. I am now subscribed, just found you.
