I went here a few years ago and it was GREAT! Our beautiful hotel room was so nice.
Going there may 2020 for the Fourth time. You will love the resort. 5 minutes from town by taxi. To me the best time to go is in May, the weather is the best. When leaving the airport be very aware you safe guard your money, I lost $250.00 to a pick pocket in the crowd leaving. Order a private taxi from Occidental they will pick you up and bring you back, in a very nice ride.
I’m going there for the first time next week I hope it’s good well I’m a teenager so
I usually have on cargo pants that make it a little harder to pick. The airport is a wild ride all by itself.
Went there and it is amazing! Royal level is well worth it! Looking to go back again soon

this is amazing hotel.
Great vid. Its the best one ive seen on this hotel. How would you rate buffets restaurants and drinks? We stayed at Barcelo Palace last year but are seriousely looking to book here february.
Jose Des thanks for the comment. Food was average. We have had better on cruises, and other hotels. The taco place was good, and the best steak I had was at the Italian restaurant. I will be putting up something on the food soon, just got busy with work.

Hi there! Loved the video. It got me excited! My family and I will be going in August for my Wedding. I was wondering if in the Junior Suite that you stayed in... the sofa pulls out to a bed ??
Cass you will have a blast, it a great hotel. The one we stayed at the bed did Not pull out to a bed. It was just a couch.

With the royal package you are treated like royalty, you get to reserve your spot at restaurants so you don’t have to wait in line, get your own trolly that operates all the time, you get the exclusive side just for royal- it is worth every penny. We had an amazing time
Just a quick question....why was the entire empty and hardly no people appeared in your video? Is the resort that empty at times??
Marc Timoteo we got there on a Monday, and it was about 1/2 full. That’s when I did most of the video. But closer to Friday it was packed. Also we went in October which is low travel season and better deals. Hope that helps.
The letter X in Mayan is pronounced SH not X. There for the resort is pronounce Shcarat not Xcarat. Mayan lighthouse not Aztec lighthouse.

Nice video. Is it worth it to stay first class and or royal class. Are there any perks besides your own pool area?
hot cheetos I personally don’t think so. It was just a little better room, and private pool. We felt like the extra cost would be better spent having fun.

Nice! Quick question, at what time did you check in? I know check in its at 12 but i will be arriving at 9am latest to the hotel. Like, do they give you access to all the amenities before your room check in or you have to wait till you get your room?
yourockzy not sure on that one. We didn’t make it to the hotel until 3. I think it all depends on when your room is ready.
My family and i have been to many of their hotels and for us, our room is usually available at 3pm and we’re able to leave our suitcases, check in, and then go eat and explore and after we’d go check if our room is ready and it usually is. i doubt that it’d be different with this hotel. Hope this helps :)
Loved your video, straight and to the point that's a big property. What animal was those long tail creatures on the way it the rooms . I'm a baby so scary Lol..

Ivelisse Carrion depending what room you buy. Our room came with 2 passes to Xcaret Park. But we paid for the upgrade.
I’m so confused I’m trying to book and I get 2 different prices 5k on xcaret website and 2k on Expedia . Is this hotel in the xcaret park
It might be because your looking at Hotel Xcaret Mexico. These 2 hotels are right next to each other and right next to the park. Hotel Xcaret is really expensive (never been there but want to). Its a new hotel that include admission into 5 different parks with you stay at the hotel. This video is on Occidental at Xcaret. This hotel is right next to the park, and certain rooms include free admission to the park (or at least they did when we book 2 year ago). Hope that helps!!
How do you not show the turtles along the walkway
Faiz Khalifa we never saw turtles at the hotel. Only at the park. Did you guys see turtles when you were there?
Livin' It yes, along the walkway that leads to the breakfast area and entertainment stage near the sports bar if I remember correctly
I was there 3 weeks ago. I will definitely be back. Way too much music and too loud in this video.

A few things...
Pulsing music is vomit inducing, this isn’t a nightclub.
Holding the camera still helps a lot.
A voice over would be helpful.
