Quality assurance for sustainable aviation fuel

The Energy Institute (EI) has developed a new animation highlighting the key messages of EI 1533 quality assurance requirements for semi-synthetic jet fuel and synthetic blending components (SBC).
The aviation industry is united in its target to achieve net zero. Achieving this will require the large-scale deployment of sustainable fuel in all existing aircraft.
The EI provides mandatory requirements and recommendations for SAF manufacture, handling, testing, and controls for the various transportation modes and equipment used in the import, export, and shipping of SAF and its synthetic components.
The quality control steps described in EI 1533 are critical for efficient supply chain operations and flight safety.
