    I love your style and vids, calm and detailed info.. great end result.
    You should get a little scroll saw, less sanding.
    Keep it up bro

    Great video, I got the 3018 and I use Fusion 360, I struggle with the tool pathing, and speeds... ill try the box this weekend.
    Thanks for the content, I look forward to more good content.

    Thanks! Your videos makes me more and more eager to buy a 3018.
    I would suggest that you check out components in Fusion 360, instead of splitting stuff into two files. Then you can reuse or project sketches/bodies in an effective way.

    Sorry if I ask and maybe you said it, but I don't understand English and the subtitles didn't help me.
    What wood did you use and how long did it take to do it?
    Thank you.

    Great video, and exactly what I was looking for.
    One question though. What is the reason that you used a post processor? I am new to CNC, but not new to Fusion 360.
    Could you not have used the file from Fusion 360?

    Thanks for the excellent video 🙂
    I have a question though, the first time I open fusion 360 in my life and I follow your process but when using the "offset" tool the second time, fusion tells me that I can't "Error: One or more of the selected curves has already been offset. Consider offsetting the original profile again instead."
    Any idea where I'm wrong? Thank you again!

    • @TheSwedishMaker
      @TheSwedishMaker  2 года назад +1

      You need to offset the first line instead of the one that is already offset and it will work.

    Hey dude. Great job. Beautiful piece.
    I am starting out on 3018. Do you have the files to make the box and an instructable?

    • @TheSwedishMaker
      @TheSwedishMaker  4 года назад +1

      Hey! Thanks! Unfortunately I never saved the files as my plan was to refine it, but that never happened. If I do find them I'll make sure to upload it.

    HI. What is the maximum thickness for milling wood on the 3018 CNC? Thank you. :)

    • @TheSwedishMaker
      @TheSwedishMaker  2 года назад

      From the company they say 45mm but I haven't managed to go that Deep. That would also require a very long bit.

    Hi, very nice video! What milling tool are you using in order to mill that deep?

    • @TheSwedishMaker
      @TheSwedishMaker  4 года назад

      Thanks! I just used a normal 38 mm milling tool. I adjusted the motor height a bit to make it work as well.

    • @Daniel-uc9rf
      @Daniel-uc9rf 4 года назад

      The Swedish Maker , could you share the tool specs? How deep did you cut? Usually the blades are only 10-12 mm on a 2-3 mm tool.

    • @TheSwedishMaker
      @TheSwedishMaker  4 года назад

      I cant really remember the tool but I am pretty sure it was a 1.5mm flat end mill. The flute length was 12 mm but I had it go more than. I didnt insert the mill all the way up in the shank either to make it stick out more

  • @hrvoje_bazina
    @hrvoje_bazina 4 года назад

    Would you be able to cut 25-30mm deep with this machine?

      The Swedish Maker what kind of drill bit do you need and how many passes does it need?

    • @TheSwedishMaker
      @TheSwedishMaker  4 года назад

      I do about 0,6mm/pass and there are many different kinds of bits to do the job. I mostly use end mill bits.
