She really made me understand and learn new things about frequency
You are welcome! :)
You always subtract 1 from the value of the LCL of the 2nd interval to obtain the UCL of the first interval if the lowest place value of your data is 'ones' as it is here ... if the data looked like 4.1, 6.7, 9.2, 12.1 ... then you'd subtract the value of the lowest place value which in this case is one tenth in order to obtain the UCL of the 1st interval.
Thanx very much for this resourceful illustration, it really summarized everything for me on frequency distribution....

Why am I lost. Where did 39 and 105 come from in the polygraph
I think it's because if you look at all the numbers at the bottom of the polygraph they each have a gap of 11 so how she got the 39 was she did 50-11= 39 and the for 105 she added 94+11 to get that. Hopefully that helps :)

What do I use if the number of class is not given.
Please someone should give me an answer
Ok teacher What is reduce formula class boundary
Also where does the 105 come from
when I'm trying to find mid point on my own by adding lower limit 45 to upper limit 55 then dividing with 2 it's giving me 72.5
Can u plz tell me why?
You did 45 + 55/2 = 72.5. The correct way is 45 + 55 = 100, then 100/2 = 50. Or (45+55)/2 = 50. Thanks! - Prof. Xin from HelpYourMath
@@helpyourmathstat ohhh thnks I got it 😌❤️
where did you get 39 for the polygon chart ?
1:From the table, we know class midpoints are 50,61,72,83,94, which are also x coordinates for the polygon chart.
2:You may find out the gap between two consecutive midpoints is always 11; for example, 61-50=11, 72-61=11.
3: Therefore, we can conclude that the point before 50 is 39 ( 50-11=39).

Why did she round the 10 to 11? Rounding is usually done to get a whole number. I am confused.
Please watch this video: ruclips.net/video/V-LHn7jPczs/видео.html
That's the rule... You round off wether it a whole number or decimal
It's because you always have to find the ceiling of a number in statistics, so you round up. Ceiling means to round up
Very helpful but I don’t understand where the 39 comes from ... the 39 before 50
🤩😍😍🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Please how did you get 39 and 105 on the frequency polygon, treat as urgent i have a test tomorrow by 9am😩😩
???
for some who doesn't get what the '# of classes' - the formula is k = 1 + (3.322 [Log(n)])
And for some, you need to know that the CLASS WIDTHs' formula is C = R/k where R = Max - Min divided by the k = k = 1 + 3.322 Log(n)
Also, I would like to add in order to organize for huge data sets you can use the STEM & LEAF method, it's very easy and helpful when you utilize it for these ungrouped data
Why did you add class width 10 +1 =11
For Class Width, round up the dividend to the next whole number. If your dividend is 2(whole number), 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2.5... 2.9, round it up to 3.
Cutee
Why10 change to 11?
Please watch this video: ruclips.net/video/V-LHn7jPczs/видео.html
A
Oo
is 10 not a whole number? why do you have to round up to 11?
Please watch this video: ruclips.net/video/V-LHn7jPczs/видео.html
Is it always 5 classes even if they didn't give you?
The number of classes is determined by each question. This example demonstrates with 5-classes. But you can apply this for other number of classes, such as 6-classes, 7-classes, so on.
1:05
10 is a whole number already. Why take it to 11?
I thought you only applied that rule when you have a decimal value🤔
Exactly my thought too
hi
Hi, please check our new website, www.helpyourmath.com/freecourses/
