The secondary cats are behind the rear o2 sensor and are usually not needed nor will they give a CEL. Some guys put the extended bung because without it the CEL will come on.
No more clogged up cats and cracked exhaust manifolds. Japanese cars and trucks are supposed to be very low maintenance and very reliable from the assembly line. The stock OEM cats are prone for clogging up and the OEM exhaust manifolds crack. Always buy OEM gaskets for the exhaust headers. I guess Nissan decided to cut costs and that’s what you get when you cut costs, lose loyal customers.

I'm new to the Nissan Titan exhaust. So what's the benifit? Do I need a cat back to accompany the pipes?
