I am so done with gun violence. We are not disposable, and our children doubly so.
I agree. Instead of wasting money on Ukraine we should fund actual security for schools. But that would mean we’d have to stop being corrupt and taking away peoples God given rights.
@@jacobedson5917 "GguNs DoNt KiLl ppl, PpL Do" i would much rather try to run away from a school stabber than a school shooter.
@@S0me0ne353 more people are killed by blunt objects every year than ar 15s. Evil will find its way not to mention guns are used in self defense estimated to be 500,000 to 3,400,000 times per year. They do significantly more good than harm. Try again kiddo
@@S0me0ne353can't runaway from a bomb, and they're very easy to make
@@MikeOxhard69420 yes. But they would be way easier to make if we didnt have very strict laws around the components needed to build one.
No matter your political opinions, we can all agree that the government isn’t spending enough money to prevent tragedies like this from happening.
Limiting guns is the first step to do
Not every citizen need an ar 15 to protect their house
You're right, they are intentionally perpetuating them to use as a battle cry for disarming the people.
@Bigby_pansexual limiting guns is the first step to disarming the population, which is the last step before total government overreach. What specifically does an AR have to do with it? If AR platform pistols and rifles were a real problem..actually any guns - youd know it. Lmao
@@Bigby_pansexualit’s none of your business first off, second, limiting guns only limit good people who follow the law 🙄not the wack jobs that do harm either way! Good people need to be able to defend ourselves from the bad people or we’ll all just be weak and letting all bad people do whatever they want
Our childrens' lives are more important than your killer toys.
No
@David Duke Self defense is one of the most important rights because only you can do it yourself. Delegating the usage of small arms to be police makes you dependent on another man for the most important needs.
So maybe have armed guards at schools, have u noticed majority of mass shootings happen in "gun free zones" or in cities with the strictest gun laws
@@MikeOxhard69420 Very few shootings if at all happen at Court House.
@@millennialsecularandauthri3338 but they happen in schools, u never see them at gun shows
A kid in the 70's. School shootings were not anything anyone ever thought of, it never happened. That kids today have this almost daily reality is so disheartening.
And it isn't the guns, cause back then everyone could get an actual assault rifle, kids even had hunting rifles in the back of their trucks and so much more was easier
Mental illness in this country has gone rapid thanks to Pharmaceuticals
the kid holding the sign…
i feel so bad for him and his trauma
When I watched the actually hour + long full episode, my partner asked me what I was watching. I told him a horror movie. He asked me what it was about and I answered honestly, "the increasingly common phenomena of mass school shootings in America since Columbine." His response if confusion in his facial expression told me a lot. I added, "It says something about the state of the world when reality is more horrifying than a fictional horror film. It speaks volumes."
Hola, como se llama la película que viste? Y en qué plataforma se puede ver? Gracias
If DEA is attacking drug cartels, why Education secretary is not attacking gun lobbies?
Because gun lobbies have nothing to do with this. ...btw our government doesnt attack drug cartels, they give them surplus weapons.
NPR “the school shootings that weren’t” is a great article to read
Thw last girl holding the am i next sign.. they all hurt but that..
What's weird to the rest of the world, is that gun sales go up after mass shootings in the US. Most other countries would make stricter gun laws, like in New Zealand. Heck in Denmark, you have to be an active member of a shooting club, before you can even apply to have a firearm, and still then, there are strict laws of how they are to be stored.
New Zealand didn’t make gun laws more strict though. They’re very pro 2a and almost everyone owns an AK variant.
That’s because intelligent people see the law changes coming after an emotional conflict such as this
The problem is that our politicians do not work for the safety of our children, but for the corporations & NRA donations.
@@shannond7437 it’s far more complex than the simply “blame the nra”.
I mean how does the President blame the nra for school shootings, yet praise his son for getting away with multiple felony firearm charges?
Because not only is it more complex, but he really doesn’t care. He just knows your anger gets him a vote.
@@shannond7437 I get that. But that's the capitalistic society America stands for.
We're not teaching kids to hide better. We're training them how security measures work so if they decide to become the next shooter they know how to find people to shoot 😡
It isn't the guns. It's mental health and a lack of vigilance.
It is the gun when an assault rifle is fired upon our children. The person who chooses that action could simply be full of hate.
@@cindy1568 no, that sounds like a mentally sick individual who would take a weapon to harm children. Guns are inanimate objects, humans have free will. Guns have been around centuries but school shootings have been common for a few decades. We need to wonder why that is and leave emotions out of these facts.
If its "just a mental health problem" why aren't they using cars to kill students? Or power tools? Or IEDs? Weird how its just guns that is the weapon of choice.

Republicans are correct about one thing, gun's aren't just the problem. Its the people too, mainly Conservatives. The guns and conservatives who promotes, conspiracy theorist and hate are to blame.
Apparently youve missed the last two decades of liberals cramming racism and hate into eveyones minds under the muse of "acceptance"...also please explain to RUclips what conspiracy theories have NOT turned out to be completely valid and then still used for gaslighting by the democrats? 🤡

Paren a los locos que hacen bulling y la discriminación en las escuelas y habrá menos locos disparando. El problema no es el gobierno, el problema son los administradores de los colegios.
Wait shooter?
“Common sense” gun laws do not address the underlying issues when it comes to these kinds of incidents.
I am more than certain those who are against civilians owning rifles are completely misinformed about them and have fallen victim to the fear the media pushes.
A maniac looking to kill as many people as they can with a rifle is a relatively new (~30 years old) phenomenon.
For more years than not, we had LESS legislation when it comes to gun. You could literally buy brand new assault rifles (not “assault weapons” [semi auto rifles we have today] I mean real full auto rifles used in WW2, Korea, Vietnam. The vast majority of the 20th century). You could buy a gun and have it delivered to your house. You could buy guns without any background checks (for all purchases).
But now we have even more legislation against guns and this behavior is more common now than it was back then? How is it the presence and or ease to get a firearm the issue?
Yeah you hit it on the head, just restricting access to guns isn't gonna do much other than create an illegal market however investments in mental health and education will help with the problem
@@austinkylereid LOL! Every country has citizens dealing with a mental illness. We're the only country with a psychotic amount of mass shootings and school shootings . But you know that , you're just another Troll in the comment sections whenever gun control is the topic Pathetic Freak - poor thing
No I think you're more misinformed about why we want strict gun laws, than what you believe we are misinformed about guns in general. Because a good amount of us pushing for strict gun laws, are gun owners dimwit. Right wingers don't have exclusive rights to owning guns. We want gun laws that make it harder for Joe Schmoe, with a mental problem, to buy a gun period. If you're a responsible gun owner these laws will effect you at all. Just like with vehicles, if you're not a responsible driver you don't get to drive. If you're not a responsible gun owner, you shouldn't be allowed to use a gun period.
@@austinkylereid there is already a black market fur every gun out there. But Australia prived that when a gun becomes banned in a country, the black market increases the price of the gun being banned. Making it harder for your average mugger, without a penny to their name, to buy a gun to mug people with. Or it makes it harder for your everyday teenager, to afford a gun, on the same day they decide to shoot up a school. Mental ussues do need to be addressed. But thst neans incirperating socialist ideologies into our givernment inorder to address the memtal oriblem on a national scale. Which intells setting up programs that fund facilities, using tax payers money, to help thise that cant afford to seek help on their own. Now remeber this, it was a Republican, President Reagan, that funding to me tal hospitals. Reagan was the first Right winger to switch the political spectrum within the parties. That was the administration the Republican party became the RepubliKKKlan party by pandering to Dixie viters thag used to be Democrats vefire the civil rights act was passed and was the main group thag started the KKK while they were part of thd Democratic party. Which where known back then as the Dixiecrats.
Both issues are addressed, republican measures have made sure that mental health isn’t a priority by defunding mental health social services and generally and horrible attitude to the mentally ill, pair that with super lose gun control makes a horrible combo
I'm too British for this
