The story of David a Job both give me inspiration and peace of mind to keep going. I just went through a bad breakup on the first and I’ve been so sick. My mental health was swirling the toilet bowl for so long, and I was ready to give up. I thought this breakup would be the end for me, but the lord gave me strength and peace of mind which i never thought possible. I couldn’t help but cry tears of joy he gave me the strength to beat this. My body still feels a bit sick but my mind is at peace. Thank you God, may you give the same strength to anyone who needs it

One thing that should maybe be added is, from I Sam. 24, when King Saul, chasing David to kill him, wound up in the same cave as David, and David's men were encouraging him to kill King Saul, even saying the LORD had delivered him into his hands; David put God's will, and Law over his own self interests. He could have killed King Saul, and removed that threat from his life, which was causing him much stress, but instead, he trusted in the LORD, to deliver him in His timing. Thank you for this video! Sure, David was such a humble man, who despite of the things that he had to face, he never took away his faith from the Lord!!! He was a model to follow if we wanted to be according to the heart of the Lord!!!

I think by under playing the depths of what King David did in this video lessens the forgiveness and miracle of our Lord. King David not only slept with another man's wife but tried to trick Bathsheba's husband (Uriah) to believe the child who was conceived was his. David pulled Bathsheba's husband from the war they was in, ordered him home for leave time and was told to spend time with his family. Hoping he'd sleep with Bathsheba and thus think that the coming child was his. Uriah (Bathsheba's husband)was SO guilt stricken of his brothers who needed him in battle and depended on him and here he was enjoying this time off, that it tore at his guts. Every veteran knows that feeling ,the brotherhood, that connection. So he begged King David to be sent back, so King David order his superiors to have Uriah killed. So once in battle again in the heat of the fight, the order was given and everyone on the front line was pulled back leaving Uriah alone and to die within minutes. I mean think about how disgusting that is for a moment. Sin's against Gods word, Sins against the bro code all of it. And the Lord with his complete holiness and sovereignty wiped it away like it never happened. Praise God.

Nice video and commentary. I love the many stories of King David. I like to equate the meaning (Davis was a man after God's own heart) as Gods desires and purposes. Although David had many flaws (as we all do) it was David's heart (desire) that lined up with God's heart (desire) in order to fulfill God's purposes. It makes sense that God would say this especially when we consider all of David's characteristics such as the acts of love, sacrifice, forgiveness, Grace and mercies, all exemplified throughout his lifespan. I think by under playing the depths of what King David did in this video lessens the forgiveness and miracle of our Lord. King David not only slept with another man's wife but tried to trick Bathsheba's husband (Uriah) to believe the child who was conceived was his. David pulled Bathsheba's husband from the war they was in, ordered him home for leave time and was told to spend time with his family. Hoping he'd sleep with Bathsheba and thus think that the coming child was his. Uriah (Bathsheba's husband)was SO guilt stricken of his brothers who needed him in battle and depended on him and here he was enjoying this time off, that it tore at his guts. Every veteran knows that feeling ,the brotherhood, that connection. So he begged King David to be sent back, so King David order his superiors to have Uriah killed. So once in battle again in the heat of the fight, the order was given and everyone on the front line was pulled back leaving Uriah alone and to die within minutes. I mean think about how disgusting that is for a moment. Sin's against Gods word, Sins against the bro code all of it. And the Lord with his complete holiness and sovereignty wiped it away like it never happened. Praise God.

Although David had many flaws (as we all do) it was David's heart (desire) that lined up with God's heart (desire) in order to fulfill God's purposes. It makes sense that God would say this especially when we consider all of David's characteristics such as the acts of love, sacrifice, forgiveness, Grace and mercies, all exemplified throughout his lifespan.
