@@h_ney4700 I hope you enjoy it!!
@@rkbucknam so far im really enjoying it.
I loved this book. I will definetly read it again.
the song of achilles absolutely destroyed me. I had a visceral reaction to just seeing her hold the book up.
*ouch*
:(
The video is exactly 22:22 mins long and I can't put into words the kind of satisfaction I get from that!
i love how you say "i'm almost done everyone" while we're all hoping for 50 more recommendations.
happy happy birthday, noelle
I SOBBED while reading A Thousand Splendid Suns
Hello, I'm French and I've been following you since a while. I like your accent and the rhythm of your spelling because I can understand pretty easily all what you say. Il like the contents of your critics and analyses of the books you read. I try sometimes to pick up some advice you give, when I think I will be able to read them without too many difficulties. I like your humour (although I don't understand every jokes you read at the beginning of your videos) and your so beautiful and kind ! Your dog is very cute too. I like when you say what course you're following at the University. It seems to be so interesting.
I hope you will continue to make your videos for a long time. Sorry for my poor English, I don't practice very much but I read a lot (every day) and I listen to BBC and book tubers like you. Thank you very much.
Your English is better than some lifelong speakers, by the way, keep reading!
This comment could have been written by me, I agree with everything you said.❣️
Your English is great don't worry
Noelle getting teary eyed is making me teary eyed over books I haven’t even read
Same 😅
I remember sobbing to Song of Achilles and lifting my head and just sighing, “oh god”.
Noelle should name the sequence to this video: “lots of teArs left to cry”
the book thief by Markus Zusak is, to this day, the only book that's made me weep. I love it sm
I read it a few years ago and when I got to the end I was actually at a Starbucks so I was just quietly ugly crying in the corner hoping no one sees lmao
I cry over literally everything, but weirdly the book thief did not make me cry
I sobbed from The Song of Achilles in public, I was sitting on the floor in a college hallway, balling.
Oh man. A Little Life. That book is going to have a lasting impact on me. I was trying to explain it to my dad about how it's the most depressing book to ever exist, but it's just so well-written and I can't help but place it in my top five along with The Nightingale. I appreciate your warning to younger people. A million trigger warnings for sure.
the four winds made me SOB! My mom walked into the living room while I was reading, saw my wrecked state, and left the room "to give me space" omg
i’m pisces too 😩 HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL! my birthday is in 6 days!
Happy early birthday!!!!!!
@@NoelleGallagher thank you 😎 *omg omg omg omg i feel so SPECIAL*
Mine’s in sevennn haha. Happy early birthday fellow pisces
@@paulinesophie9019 happy early birthday babes 💞
Happy early birthday!!!! Mine is Monday Pisces gang unite
The book that made me cry my eyes out was "The hunchback of Notre Dame" by Victor Hugo. I haven't cried harder at the ending of a book. It still gets me after each reread.
I just finished A little life a few minutes ago and came on youtube to have some comfort after ugly crying. And here you are! With the book's image on the thumbnail. I feel like I got a wound that'll never be healed, your video was very very needed at this moment.
how did you like it? i’m dying to read it because i haven’t cried over a book in a while
@@paulinesophie9019 i agree with every word!!! It’s like im mourning the characters like real people in my life
I read a little life last July and things will remind me of Jude or the book in general and I’m sad all over again
@@hllurban244 omg yes! Every sad song feels like it’s about him or Willem. I’ve started crying multiple times because of that. Have you had the “Hey Jude” by the Beatles moment yet? Hahah
Your reaction to Song of Achilles is me. I can cry literally just thinking about it. The story and writing were absolutely stunning!
Call me by your name, The Book Thief, The Kite Runner. All broke my heart and would definitely recommend.
A Man Called Ove made me cry so much at the end - but very happy tears!
NOELLE I LITERALLY JUST FINISHED “A LITTLE LIFE”, and I’ve never felt so empty.
red hair + red lips + red top = Noelle in her element 🍓💥
i relate so much to the "i cry at the thought of things........." i mean, yes YES im THAT emotional lmao
“Cut My Life into Pisces...” lol. Literally we could be best friends. Keep doing you, girl. Your videos are getting me through grad school
I think you mentioned in one of the last videos you were reading A Man Called Ove... I balled like a baby! But like I said in another comment... I cry so easily! haha
THE WAY I RAN WHEN I SAW THE NOTIFICATION!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY NOELLE!!!
a book that made me bawl was 'eleanor oliphant is completely fine', it's one of my faves but man that ending- i was sat in the libruary completely sobbing
I was waiting for Song of Achilles to be mentioned, the ending was beautiful.
I really don’t cry all that often over books. I usually find that the ones that do move me to tears become favorites. That is very true of A Man Called Ove. I was tearing up throughout the entire frickin book. It’s so, so excellent. Fredrick Backman has such a profoundly beautiful way of cutting through you with just one sentence, and he has such a deep understanding of what makes us tick. I highly recommend this book-of you haven’t already read it.
*reads title
*thinks about a little life
*gets flashbacks and starts shaking
My most recent big sads were 'A Little Life' (truly such a difficult, devastating book to get through but so wonderfully written) and Addie LaRue which left me sad for weeks afterwards because I loved it so much
I’ve been reading The Little Prince every year since I was a kid. And every year as I get older I cry more and more. It hits your differently every single time. It is my top recommendation at all times.
Fellow Pisces here, and I finished Song of Achilles on a plane. I couldn’t stop myself from sobbing, so sorry to everyone around me.
Also, happy birthday!
I dont know if you've read the book thief bc if you have, I'm surprised it's not here. It's so beautifully written and painful, and even though you already know what is going to happen because the narrator hint it, it still hit me like no other book did. I cried so hard that I woke my mom up and his room it's in the other side of the house.
happy birthday noelle! thank you for keeping my love for books alive during the pandemic, all the love from argentina
I honestly enjoy being sad sometimes..? Like... it's such a passionate, yet gentle emotion.
Thanks for looking out for teenage girls. I myself am one such person, and I appreciate you gently telling us not to read something so heavy while we’re still young and naïve. Also, happy birthday fellow Pisces!!
Happy Birthday Noelle! Here’s to another year filled with love and success!
I actually cried in The Whisper Man. That ending just touched my heart!
A Man Called Ove by Fredrick Backman had me wailing. I would still reccomend it, but know there is TW for suicide. The story is about loss in life, love and finding connecting again. You see this through the lens of Ove, who seems on the surface as a crotchy old man, but there's so much more depth. Really beautiful 🥰
Oh chile, I did not expect for me to cry and laugh over this book as much as I did.😅
I just finished Song of Achilles and I WAS SOBBING
YO HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU ETHEREAL STRAWBERRY BEAUTY
I absolutely agree about Nightingale! Whew. Some others that made me sob and that i highly recommend: A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Heart’s Invisible Furies, and Me Before You
happy birthday!!!! also, i HIGHLY recommend Flowers for Algernon as a great tearjerker!
Eleanor and Park took me by complete surprise, SOBBED at the end 🥺
I’m about to start On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, I am not ready.
ALL THE LIGHT WE CANNOT SEE! I cried for days!
The Green Mile baby. I've never cried so hard at a book in my LIFE, and honestly? Can't wait to relive the experience :')
Oh my goodness. I've only seen the film but it made me cry so so hard that I could NEVER read the book let alone rewatch the film
Anytime I even think about Song of Achilles I almost cry. Sometimes I just cry out of nowhere
“what books made you cry” me, who cries after every book i read... 💀
I'm a big lover of plays and one play that always makes me emotional is A Streetcar Named Desire because I have always related to Blanche DuBois. I fear getting old and I do rely on the kindness of strangers too, so it really hit home for me. The symbolism within that play is spectacular!
Oh god, I loved The Song Of Achilles. I cried like a baby.
Beautiful boy ist my absolut favourite book, especially having read tweak as well. That book is just so so so beautiful and heartbreaking. And the movie is just equally amazing!
That made me so happy to see it on booktube, I feel like no one reads or knows it!
I recently found your channel this year and I can't stop watching!! The way you talk about books has made me get back into reading in a way I haven't been in years (I've already read 9 books this year! Compared to my zero last year hahah), happy birthday ❤️ thanks for your channel!!
OH and a book that made me cry that I've re-read many times and cry every time is Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathon Safran Foer, I love his writing in this book
Happy birthday Noelle! The last book that really got to me was The Hearts Invisible Furies; it’s such a beautifully sad and powerful book.
Daisy jones and the six was great, it felt like , mtv’s behind the music.
That was a vh1 show
I have seen a few comments about The Book Thief, and yes this is THE BOOK that I think about when I think of books that made me cry. I remember I was caught up in the final chapters when my sister came into my room. Her entrance broke my concentration, and when I looked up at her I started sobbing. I couldn't even speak to explain myself. Her face looked scared, and she ran out of my room. I then cried through to the conclusion of the book. To this day, this is my favorite reading memory.
I don’t cry very easily in general, one of the few books that has actually achieved that is the Book Thief. Usually, books that are devastating make me TREMBLE though. Idk what’s up with that.
I’ve been waiting for this one to be mentioned
I SOB every time I read The Book Thief omg
The Nightingale GETS me every single time! Absolutely love your videos 💖💖
“Such a sharp pain I felt in thy bussom”
Literally laughed out loud!
You should have heard me scream BECAUSE THEYRE REALLY GOOD AT IT!! That is my second favourite joke of all time 😂😂
happy birthday noelle! always love getting a new video from you, they never fail to make me smile
I have no clue what A Little Life is even about but so many people give such heavy warnings I can’t help but feel ill never be ready for it
I just finished a little life last night. I didn’t think I’d cry and I didn’t until the very last page. The movie is incredibly sad wow I expected it but not like that
Noelle, you absolutely crack me up! Your intro to "On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous" was just brilliant! lol Your passion for books is ace xx
I love avoiding school and watching you instead ❤️
The House in the Cerulean Sea had me SOBBING for half an hour AT LEAST! Im so excited for the book discussion bc MAN! SO GOOOOD!! (happy birthday!!! loved the vid🤍🌨🍃)
me, an aries: i guess im just too tough to cry
happy birthday noelle!
SAME! 🤣
I've never cried at ANYTHING before, I'm so glad it's not just me!
IM AN ARIES AND IVE LEGIT ONLY CRIED AT TWO BOOKS AND AAJHSJAKSKDJW AND I WAS LIKE 12 WHEN I DID 🤣🤣🤣
I’ve cried to many books, but “The Kite Runner” takes the cake.
Noelle with these books: *crying in a cool way*
Happy birthday Noelle! I remember reading the nightingale by Kristen Hannah in my living room when my parents had company over and I gasped for air and sobbed out loud and everyone came running in thinking I was hurt but no...no...just having my heart ripped out 🙃
Happy Birthday Noelle! 🥳💖
Noelle being a pisces makes so much sense bless your emotional heart happy birthday girl!!!!!
“My birthday is today!!”
Me: She’s a pisces!! I’m a pisces!! I knew I liked Noelle for an inexplicable reason outside the obvious....
I read The book Thief on a beach in Thailand and I sobbed at the end. It is now one of my favourite books because I have this attached memory. I remember staring at the ocean and just taking in all the feelings. More recently, The vanishing half wrecked me in the best way possible. Didn’t cry so mucj, but felt so grateful for this incredible reading experience. A++++++ for both of these
Me, a capricorn : I am sorry but how did you manage to cry reading the kiss quotient???????? 😂
I'm also a Capricorn and I've never cried at anything, it sounds like an *experience* though
Ok I’m a capricorn and cry at all the things 😂
I'm a Capricorn and I cry very easily!
@@amberc1356 Me, too.
Me, virgo person: what is cry ?
You are honestly one of my favourite people in the booktube community. It was thanks to you I started reading again. Keep up the good work queen! ✨
Okay someone tell me why Noelle talking about certain books, some I haven’t even read, made me cry
Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one who cried reading The Kiss Quotient. Every time it was mentioned how other men have treated Stella I would just sob lol don’t know what’s wrong with me
not me automatically crying the second I saw DJ&6 cover. Read this book twice (physically &audiobook) and cried both times.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Same !!
I don't know what it is about the cover of Writers and Lovers, but i can't stop looking at it
I would love to see this as a series - books that made me angry, books that made me so joyful, books that made me want to be a better person, books that made me reckless...
The Fault In Our Stars was my gateway novel for summoning cathartic tears. Thanks, John Green 🤘🏽
Yeeees Pisces unite!!! ♓️🐟
😌✊
You and my cousin have the same birthday, so now I'll never forget yours. Happy birthday!!! I just finished The Hating Game this morning and I've officially decided that I'm never reading anything again that isn't about Lucy and Josh. They're just too cute!
Happy birthday 🎈 💜
Your videos just make me feel safe
books that made me cry: when all is said, becoming, flowers for algernon, where the crawdads sing, the secret life of bees :,)
You are 100% my spirit animal! Love reading sad books and will cry like a baby. Can't wait to give some of these a try !
Me, a Cancer, relating hardcore to the introduction.
Happy Birthday Noelle! 🎉🌺🍓
I don’t cry much while reading, I might get misty eyed, but goddamn, The Nightingale?! My word-I was sobbing at like 3 different parts!!!
my biggest flex is that a little life didn't make me cry 💅
Same! Fav book ever tho
It just desensitizes you to all the traumatic stuff that happens in it
Same. I was waiting for that heart wrenching sob to come out of me bc I wanted a good cry but it didn’t happen.
Writers and lovers was definitely a relief/happiness cry for me at the end, seriously such a great way to send the reader off
