Thank you for 5he fantastic music I am a very big fan !! PS:the hurdy Gurdy is my favorite music instrument and yours is very beautiful!! Form Portugal!!!
That is a beautiful instrument. The Green Stain works perfectly well on your Hurdy Gurdy . They sound ' alive ' when being played . As if they are singing of melancholy.
So . . weird story . . . . I had a friend who built one of these YEARS ago and JUST TODAY remembered the name of this instrument!! So I Google'd it, read the wiki, then searched for it on RUclips and here I am!! My buddy's Hurdy-Gurdy was pretty janky, and it was fretted like a standard guitar/violin/etc. neck and tuned like a mandolin (GDAE). So you can Imagine my surprise when I came across your video with your INSANE CUSTOM-MADE AMAZE-BALLZ Gurdy. For someone as young as you are, you're clearly an EXTREMELY gifted musician and masterfully proficient at a very cool instrument. It's obvious that you've worked hard, practiced your a$$ off, and you love playing music, so you're only gonna get better and better!! This was an awesome find; thank you for sharing your music and talent . . . . subscribed!

You Miss are awesome. Thank you for introducing me to the hurdy gurdy. If spelled it wrong I apologize. Also I dig your choice in the color green. I also am a large fan of green.
At 2:30, "as you may have noticed, I now have 8 sympathetic strings". I can pick up a 6-stringed guitar and none of the strings are particularly "sympathetic" to me, lol !

@Patty Gurdy: I like all the features of your new hurdy-gurdy, as of 18 months ago. I love the green colour too. I look forward to your videos playing your new toy.
You change them, they get worn out. Regular housecats works fine. But if you feel like getting an extra fancy tune you can always go with a Bengal. That is if your wallet permits!
Its an awesome ancient instrument ....how about we call it that.. ...that is SO much better than... "So it's an Analog Synthesizer?" (read in New York Hipster Accent to accentuate, the absolute douche-baggery of the comment) No, it's not It's a badass ancient instrument lol and now you know.
You're getting a lot of grief but that is such a cool instrument, such a cool sound, love the color scheme, my favorite color combo black and green! Can't wait to buy your album when it comes out. Hopefully sooner than later! Love that medevil sound! Like a war montra from those epic movies. You could be singing about bunnies and when put to the sound of the gurdy they become war bunnies! Lol

So just e joy the videos and ignore the plebs! If you want to comment, make it positive! Don't fight.
.....Annnnnd grrrreattttt.....
Now I'm the pretentious one going around policing everybody.....well, shyte! Good one "Me", you really made an ass out of yourself this time! Hahaha
Hahaha damn, well isn't that just great?!
(Annnnnnnd queue the part where both of you attack me, lol, here we go!)
She is an unbelievable player 😳😳😳. What is normal for her, is just slightly out of normal for us, like by a huuuuuge amount lol. Love the colour Patty. Cheers, Sean
I love your Gurdy Patty,The drones sound much fuller than a regular Gurdy almost like a bagpipes,I love your channel!
I love the music. My musical talent ends with playing the radio...
This is what happens when the Borg assimilate a viola.
... and you JUST earned a new subscriber! 🎶💙🎶
🤘🎭🤘
I dont know why but I am mesmerised by the sound this instrument makes.
Wish you were in Denver Colorado. I would put every bit of my talent toward your music. I love your spirit, your heart and your talent, your passion for playing your instrument and your singing. Everything about you touches my soul.
God looked down upon Earth,
wanted to make it a touch more wonderful & magical, and sent us Patty Gurdy to live live among us mere mortals. :-) Thank Heavens ! :-)
That is a huge gurdy. How heavy is it?
Or a small girl ;-)
Yes, that was going to be my question! I thought the first one would have been somewhat heavy, but this one is so much larger it must be even worse! I hope your back can handle the weight, Patty!
I think Patty said she was like 5'8 in one of the Q&A videos.
Next to me it would look small
Hugey gurdy
It's 2 am and I'm watching a video on a random instrument called a hurdy gurdy?
It's 2:20 am and I'm doing the same. :-)
Yeah me too. 3:31am... First say this video the other night around 2 though.
1:30am and this comment sums up my life
Just think ten months later some dude is in the same oddness. Couple hours off. Lol
Same. I love the hurdy gurdy. It has such an incredible sound. I wish she had played something
LOL! It makes me happy to see how happy she is. Pure joy!
"It goes to 13."
~ Spinal Gurdy
Very cool instrument. I used to watch players in Germany. It was the first place I ever saw a hurdy gurdy. Fab.
Patty, try some luminescent inlays to see on darker stages etc.
Just what I was thinking luminlay material that you can charge up with a black light sounds like what she might need without the hassle of leds.
Incrível esse instrumento!!! Gostei dos timbres!!! Graves penetrantes! !! Linda cor!!! Não conhecia ! Apesar de ja ter ouvido esse son,,,
Incrível, obrigado desde Brasil!
Patty, thank you for your enthuciasm, how much does an instrument cost?
No idea what any of this means, so I'll just trust that that's a high quality contraption you have.
Thank you for 5he fantastic music I am a very big fan !! PS:the hurdy Gurdy is my favorite music instrument and yours is very beautiful!! Form Portugal!!!
I never thought I'd hear the words 'De-tune my trumpet'
you have a curious accent. Are you you a German who lives in Ireland?
Ní mór dom Gearmáinis a labhairt....
@Josh Marino that would be hilarious
@@FraktalEndlevel She answered that question in a Q&A, and if I remember correctly, she actually did live in Ireland for a while.
You RACIST ASSHOLE!!
it's fascinating to me as well, even as musically pleasing as the instrument
Call me stupid but this vid taught me *what a gurdy actually is* . I can imagine less interesting ways to learn new things :)
That is a beautiful instrument. The Green Stain works perfectly well on your Hurdy Gurdy . They sound ' alive ' when being played . As if they are singing of melancholy.
No' only amazin' but quite 'umorous to boot! Made me day!
It's Hurdy.
It's a Gurdy.
You're Perdy
you're the asshole, you dumb asshole
**snaps**
@camaro69 you're easily triggered.
That’s the dumbest fucking comment I’ve ever read on RUclips.
@@hankblack7869 no worries, it won't be the dumbest for long
Wow Patty I thought I was special when I learned to play guitar. You certainly have me beat. I am so impressed.
I asked a women if I could see her gurdy once, it earned me a slap.. Worth it.
Hindsight Did it hurdy? Lol.
I asked a woman to help me play my gurdy. She slapped me after I asked her to yank my crank.
Lol. I about choked on my piece of candy when I read that.

So . . weird story . . . This was an awesome find; thank you for sharing your music and talent . . . . subscribed!
I don’t know what I like more - her playing or her personality
When truth gets very deep
Beneath a thousand years of sleep
Time demands a turn around
And once again the truth is found
Awakening the Hurdy Gurdy Man
Who comes singing the songs of love
Here come the Hurdy Gurdy Man
And his singing the songs of love
I love ginger ❤️
This looks like a sci fi spaceship!
Beautiful Gurdy, and a FABULOUS instrument. I hang my measly 6 string knowledge with lowered head. Kudos and CONGRATS!!!!
Faszinierend, daß diese ( eigentlich ) alten Instrumente noch immer genutzt werden.
Does it djent?
Those low drone strings are basically djenting all the time.
Bro.....did you not here that extremely low C.......that son of a birch was djent-ing before djent-ing was djent-ing
"here"
When you're too stupid to know the difference between "hear" and "here"
DJEEEEEEEEEENT
I REALLY WANT TO PLAY A HURDY GURDY!
Copernicaso Have enough money to buy a car and you'll be halfway there.
Yep. Start saving. They're not cheap.
Now you can use the Kill(mute) switch to play Buckethead songs. :)
Robin Flick Now I wanna hear I love my Parents on hurdy gurdy
Or some Rage Against The Machine. :) Tom Morello \,,/
Mau Slingerland - - 👀😂🤣😂👍
The best part = 3:40
Sometimes, when you play alot.
The handle starts to bend abit.. ya'll know the rest :)
I'm in love 🖤🖤🖤 between Ms. Gurdy's beauty, the beauty in her music. Her accent, intelligence and those blue eyes I just get lost.....
CAN YOU PLEASE PLAY STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN FOR US ? ......... ASKING FOR MY BLONDE GURDY FRIEND.
9.9W
couldn't the drone holders be replaced with buttons so you just have to press the button which should be a lot easier (and less error prone)
You Miss are awesome. Thank you for introducing me to the hurdy gurdy. If spelled it wrong I apologize. Also I dig your choice in the color green. I also am a large fan of green.
Gorgeous lass Patty being talented as usual! Keep it up 😉
what a kool instrument. Love Ur music
At 2:30, "as you may have noticed, I now have 8 sympathetic strings". I can pick up a 6-stringed guitar and
none of the strings are particularly "sympathetic" to me, lol !
I think that anyone who can master this instrument has something extra going on in their brain, and I don't know if it's a good or bad thing.
Deutsche Handwerkskunst, habe ich bei irischen Dudelsäcken erst gesehen, interessant. Schön, das es sie noch gibt.
I love your Music und your old and new Hurdy-Gurdy 😍
@Patty Gurdy: I like all the features of your new hurdy-gurdy, as of 18 months ago. I love the green colour too. I look forward to your videos playing your new toy.
What kind of cat lives inside?
no idea but its real pissed
Traumatised
LOL !
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
You change them, they get worn out. Regular housecats works fine. But if you feel like getting an extra fancy tune you can always go with a Bengal. That is if your wallet permits!
Real purdy.
Instead of the Hurdy Gurdy man she's the Hurdy Gurdy woman singing songs of love...
The Purdy Hurdy Gurdy Girly.
wow, a new channel .hurdygurdys, and drone strings! ,.who needs tv, ....outta the box! brilliant
Gorgeous. And the hurdy gurdy is super cool too.
When do We get to hear You play it?
Sooooo it's an analog synthesizer??
I think it's a physical model of a bagpipe excitor with a violin resonator.
Victor Eijkhout 😮
Its an awesome ancient instrument
....how about we call it that..
...that is SO much better than...
"So it's an Analog Synthesizer?"
(read in New York Hipster Accent to accentuate, the absolute douche-baggery of the comment)
No, it's not
It's a badass ancient instrument lol and now you know.
It's easier to fix when it breaks down and is powered by potatoes
@@andyq9669 so french fries?
Sea of Thieves brought me to your amazing channel, you rock!
Can you please play this song from Sea of Thieves? Name of song is Grogg Mayles
Ooh yeah! I´d love to hear that.
The same brought me here too and than I´ve heared that she is german like me
Personally I'd love to hear the black sails theme in her own rendition
+Captain Wade That would be great.
All of them are nice (: I love Becalmed :D
You're getting a lot of grief but that is such a cool instrument, such a cool sound, love the color scheme, my favorite color combo black and green! Can't wait to buy your album when it comes out. Hopefully sooner than later! Love that medevil sound! Like a war montra from those epic movies. You could be singing about bunnies and when put to the sound of the gurdy they become war bunnies! Lol
They used that contraption as a telephone in the olden times.
