Part 1 - • Family - 'Burlesque.' ...
Thanks again for all your nice comments and for watching. That fact that you all are watching is amazing.
I have succumbed to suggestions and now have a 'buy me a coffee' page if one of my videos has helped you out and you want to show it. Thank you very much if it has and you do :)

Thank you so much for both videos. Burlesque has always been a song I've struggled with to work out the guitar part. Nice work Jon!
Thank you 🙏 😊🍺
A fantastic demo. You did an amazing job. Your LP sounds superb as well. Thanks a lot.
All those guitar, keyboard and bass parts added up to more than the sum of those parts.
Thank you very much 🤠
Aha! That's how its done! Great stuff buddy, hows about that other frustratingly elusive ditti Between Blue And Me from the great Fearless album?
i remember that tune indeed - I'll put it on my list to have a look at. It moves around a lot i seem to remember. Thank you :)
Now thats what I call a Guitar Lesson from someone who really cares what he does. Thanks
Thanks Jon 😊
@@theguitartundra Learnt it last night, Brilliant Lesson, thanks again, Jon

Great song
Wonderful. Many thanks. And well worked-out! The clever double tracking on the original (complicated by I think an open G tuning) is tough to reverse-engineer.
Thank you Hugh 🙏 - open G, interesting 🤔. I’ll revisit this with that in mind, thank you 🙏
@@theguitartundra - I'm trying to work out a solo acoustic version which retains the characteristic modality. I live in Leicester where the song is set (and where Family emerged), so it would be a good one to play out. So yes, whether to try working out an open G version.... I think you've nailed it without!!
@@theguitartundra - you have the "main" riff playing from the C# , which sounds fine when you play it. Whereas the record and a 2002 Chappo performance, it does sound like it's a 4th higher - from the F#? Or are my ears deceiving me? Both fit with the chords, and as i say, your version in itself sounds great. This song is complicated!!
Hi Hugh, that’s some good sleuthing 😊 - I’ll try and steal some time to sit down and have a play along today - it’s been one of those weeks. Are you very familiar with G tuning ?
@@theguitartundra - I'd assume it's "drop G" - i.e. dropping E>D, A>G and top E>D as does Keef! Easy enough to do quickly at a gig.
But I'm not sure that's the way to make it work with one guitar - as you've managed to do so effectively.
But I do remain puzzled by the "main riff" which is fine as you've done it, but my ears tell me it's something like this (in standard tuning): sorry trying post the tab - not going to paste -but it starts like this
g----5h-7-po4-po-0--
a-4---------------------------0--3
great stuff - though i play that riff...A4 - G0-G2 - D4-A0 - A2-A3 then the double stops G9 - B8 (x4)
G7-B7 (x3) - G5-B5...fantastic to play with a gritty rhythm section
Ace, thank you 🙏 😊
4. 18 on the string D and G .
Thumbs up for the second attempt!
Thanks 🙏 - I blame Macs 🥴
