i doubt it will, its a new technology and that a difficult one to develop. I'm still waiting for them to officially announce their Arri Skypanel competitor
I've been saving up for the ever so popular 300D MkII and was about to pull the trigger, but with this model available, I'd HAPPILY trade the possible bi-color output difference for the storytelling power of the color temp tuning! I'm absolutely PUMPED to get my hands on this!
Well... just added yet another COB LED to my arsenal of Aputure lights. Anxiously waiting for the Aputure MC 12-Light Production Kit to become available. Glad to see you guys are finally bringing the Sidus Bridge to market. I have some old 672's I would love to put back to work.
This light looks amazing for a point source LED! Always love how Aputure continues to push boundaries on functionality and price. But it's clear, there's even more great products to come, something with the letters R-G-B in it... I'm very excited ;)
I worked a Tier 1 feature with multiple 300dIIs. I was skeptical of the quality, but myself and the whole electric crew loved the usefulness of the lights, the output, and the various attachments. This new unit seems promising also, but my major hesitation and concern is the plastic header connection on the head. Each of our units had a lot of play at the connection and occasionally the had units power off while being moved because of the loose connection. Would love to see this addressed in future versions, otherwise these are great lights!
@@tobycueni3186 No thats pretty good actually. the 300d was bright enough for outdoor shoot and usually for tungsten i'd use it indoors anyways so a 120dii output is plenty enough
No doubt this will be fantastic. But the first few batches will go to popular RUclipsrs who will then tell us it's the best thing ever, during the coming months. Then the US market will get it (fair enough) and the UK some 18 months from now, like all their stuff. So I aint getting excited.
@@aputurelighting SHUT THE!!! This is a first....and they're my favourite shop! Great to hear. That's the shop I've bought all my Aputure gear from (6 things so far) and they're (and other UK sellers) always weeks out of stock. Currently they only have the 300d MKII (and a few modifiers) out of all the Aputure stuff. Great to hear you have a head start on this one. But be honest...normally stocks are 12-18 months from being available here. That's from my experience.
@@creativesymon Sorry to hear that! We're small team that has been trying to scale up quickly over these past five years. Especially for new releases, it can be hard to meet demand off the bat. That said, thanks for the support and enthusiasm! Love the guys at CVP as well, those guys rock.
Please Help. My 300x was working fine two days ago.Today it's not turning on neither on small rig batteries nor on direct power from outlet. The ballast doesn't show any blink. What could go wrong ? I had purchased it brand new and used very carefully.
It will not be as bright as the 300d II, but at 5500K, it should get pretty close to the 300d Mark 1. In Maximum output mode the lamp is brightest between 4000K-5500K. At the extremes the light is closer to the 120d II.
@@aputurelighting you guys deleted my comment, which was a response to another comment regarding the seizure potential of this ad? Why would you delete a comment regarding that? Odd... Was it due to some other person making a beer flu joke within that comment thread? Regardless, you really should have a warning at beginning of this ad.
Although we are at the bottom of the Big-Mac index, we can spend a very long time with the strongest single point light source 🌞. Turkey is a wonderful country to enhance creativity and make low-budget films 🤯. Beside that nothing like natural light 🥺 Am I right, Emmanuel Lubezki?
Tense atmosphere between the brothers, hehehehe you could see that they needed several fresnel ARRI to light only 1 amaran 300x, it's ARRI if you call there sister you are losing space to Aputure is melting ARRI hehehe
Its a shame the COB Aputure lights are SO EXPENSIVE! If you could price it a little cheaper they'd sell a lot more. Thankfully Nanlite is growing in the market.
Our supplier in Australia says they, "fear it has been discontinued," and can't supply as Aputure won't confirm. It's all very disappointing. Guess we will have to go another brand as Aputure can't quite get their sh*t together.
Lights are getting way too expensive. This light should not cost $1,200. It is a light. I can achieve a better image with free natural light or a bunch of $2 regular tungsten light bulbs. Aputure has become an extremely expensive brand. Quality products, but definitely not budget friendly. We are living in a time where people are overpaying for light due to how fast technology is advancing. LED is still less flattering than regular light bulbs. Don’t get caught up in the technology. This is a luxury item. Not a necessity. It makes things easier, but not more beautiful. I will say this.. I love how Aputure uses their channel to teach about lighting & other things. For that reason I will always love Aputure. Just not into LED lights that cost over $1,000.
compared to light fixtures like the Arri L5 , the SkyPanels ( even if the skypanel is a different type of fixture), etc; the price is kind of good. still an investment indeed, But most of the time, you rent the gear for the production. Personally, I think LED is becoming better and better now! 🙂 Cheers!
Getting too expensive? Aputure is paving the way for film lights to get CHEAPER. Products like this bridge the gap between Indie filmmakers/small video production companies and the ridiculously expensive lights like Arri HMIs that get used on real film sets. Not to mention these run off regular power outlets. There are a LOT of things you can do with these lights that you absolutely cannot do with a bunch of regular lightbulbs or daylight, and there are even some advantages over top tier professional film lights. If you already have lighting solutions that work for you, that's great, but a lot of us need fixtures like these. Aputure is changing the game for the better.
Great work guys! Love the little teasers at the end of each release video...👏NOVA👏NOVA👏NOVA👏
Yas :)
Caleb in da house!
Looking forward to the NOVA!
Hopefully under 3000 USD !!!! We'll see!
Your promo videos for these lights are as high quality as the lights themselves! ::chef's kiss::
I hope that this release will lower the prices of "older" versions of lights :)

This guy straight up gets it. Ditto my guy.
Has anyone heard anything new about the sidus link dongle for the older lights? Got a pair of 120d mkii’s I wanna link to this and my MC’S 🧐

when is the 600d coming out?
The Nova at the end tho :O
Woah, that's a nice answer to Godox and Viltrox.
Aputure still setting the benchmark!
The Panel!!!!! stop playing with my heart Aputure!
Constantly changing the game!

Incredible! Thank you Aputure!
Bit of a Nova P300c tease at the end eh
Nova gonna be released in a month.
Hands down, Best light product so far~
How bright is it compared to the 300d ii and 120d ii? Was very close to pulling the trigger on the 300d ii but not sure now.
when its at 5600K its equivalent to a 300d mark i, when its tungsten its like 120dii
JulianLeBLanc wait really? What a joke! Not getting this model

Cooper Town didnt they say they have an option for constant output and it seems like 4300K would be the brightest not 5600
Sometimes filmmakers needs 10K Kelvin, this should be a plus in this videos and not only for one brand!!!
Looks like a great light to me. I hope to pick up one or two of them soon.
Cool one step closer to the Aputure 300C :D hahaha
Great job.
I’m in love!!!
What are those lights in the background at 0:15???? Love those!!! Looking for some high quality music video lighting
Freakin awesome! p.s. I so want to hire whoever does these announcements. Are these done in-house? They are crazy good.
VO is done in house, shooting is a mixture of both, and editing is hired out.
Sound Design seems like Lens Distortions style. Incredible...
That’s gonna break the bank, love it though!
You need to send one sample to @gaffer&gear. Waiting for review
Looks good but I think it would have been more impressive as a full RGB light so we can finally get rid of gels.
I feel like gels are still the way to go for color accuracy. Idk

Nice teaser at the beginning. Sfx from @lens distortions I guess? :)
Awesome!✌️
Little salty since I just bought the 300d mkii. But still cool light
Jake Quilter why? It’s more powerful daylight fixture..this is versatile but not as powerful..you have a great light..love mine
What stand and boom would you recommend for this light for in studio use?
what is the noise level of the fans?
Film without the noise of the fans disturbing the recording
where is the link to buy it if we live in Europe?
In Europe, dealers should start selling them in a few hours on the 23rd of the month.
