No matter how many times i watch these two i am spellbound
For 2 dancers to compliment each other in this way is spectacular. He is so big, elegant yet also so fluid with his dance moves never setting a foot wrong that his partner knew she was safe with him during the lifts especially the one hand hold to the ground then rising again. All I can say is AWESOME ❤️❤️

It seems like a fantasy. Is it even possible for someone to invent, rehearse and perform something so beautiful as this dance piece set to the music of an Irish romantic song? I can see that it is possible. The most breathtaking moment was when the choir sang "You raise me up" and the man began to to lift the woman slowly up. It was really " You raise me up." Many thanks.
An "Irish romantic *song* "? Really? I know it as a christian worship song. But Yes, the mood & moves are/were "breathtaking"!

@@Catg1222 It's called choreography, whether in dance or skating. I'm sure you can see why it would be impossible to perform this exact dance on ice.
@@annachristinaricucci5837 Um yeah no kiddin’. It is choreographed and very, very similar to figure skating routines I have seen. Almost identical to the point, it looks like they copied skating choreographers.

This performance exuded fabulous choreography, creative artistry and exceptional technical proficiency. The body positions, lines and lift transitions were magnificent. Although they made this look smooth and easy, I can assure anyone, it is not. I've book marked this video and will enjoy watching it many more times in the future. Thank you.
While I agree with everything you said, I was disappointed that there was not more floor work to balance the lifts. Less is more in my opinion. It’s like a singer doing runs on every word that they sing and then the run is no longer special. To me, an entire routine almost exclusively of lifts is not as exciting as a routine where lifts are used more judiciously.

@@michelepayton6922 Agreed. I suspect judges would agree with you. It's the same in ice dancing and pairs skating: the extra lifts are thrown in for the audience.

I thought this was spectacular and THEN they raised the bar even more with that series of lifts at 3:25 and closer to the performance end when they would be tired! She's a beautiful dancer and his strength is beyond amazing! WOW!!!

All I can say is WOW! When he held her up with one hand and went down to the ground and back up all I could think was that this shouldn't be humanly possible but here he was doing it. The whole dance was beautiful, and I cannot hear this song without tears. Just amazing!
