@@pebblelive Hulder is a woman, Hulderkall is a man, they're not mentioned in the Eddas afaik, but you could have a point actually. I grew up in the area where "hulder" was most "popular". Its definitely an old word. Theyre usually associated with something sinister tho (hulder has a cow-ass, with tail). And they are definitely not understood as "Fairies". In norwegian lore/animism/mythology/religion, jotner og vetter (giants), alver (elves), dverger (dwarfs), volver, norner etc. is mostly used from what I know.
I have a confession to make. One of these mornings, at dawn, Aurora's spirit blew in my mind the meaning of this song, and told me to keep a leash on it until I spoke to her. I can only say that it is a gemstone, clear as the spring water, enclosed in a diamond treasure chest, where everyone who wants it is able, with discretion, to see in, but not to reveal the secret. For some reason, this song feels very profound. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just feels like this means something very very deep and personal to Aurora and it feels like it contains a very ancient truth to it. This song always makes me feel more conncected to the loved ones I have lost. I feel the time I have shared with them, the time I have not, and the time I will remember them through things that remind me of them. For now in my mind and memories they are dancing on the moon. They are my angels and one day I will be dancing on the moon with them. Until then I will be looking up and remembering through my window.

Now and then I get caught up in my fears and cling on to them for dear life, I get the hopeless feeling that we are already in the depths of hell... ...and then I remember there's still human beings on this planet like Aurora and I realize that angels can't exist in hell.
