I probably would've never known that Raphael Saddiq got his start by playing for Sheila E. had it not been for this channel. Love it. Best RUclips on channel on Prince, hands down. Keep em coming!
I'm with you... But I want to say, "I knew it, I knew it!!!" imagine a aftershow 'Prince & Tony! Toni! Tone!' and not even knowing who they were at the time...😳😭 LOL I can't!
The stuff you're doing here is setting a really high bar for whatever Netflix or whoever comes up with something for any supposed documentary about the man. I could do with a little less After Effects filters and such but the interviews , the work, and the research you're doing here to tell his story is something I think will be hard to top, no matter who does it. I can tell you're a true fan that's dedicated to telling his story through a variety of lenses, embellished by the people who knew him best and worked with him. It's REALLY good work that obviously comes from a place of admiration, passion, love, truth, knowledge and fascination for a singular generational talent. As I age, I go down fewer and fewer RUclips rabbit holes but your stuff keeps me hooked. Nice job.
You're style is fine. Just constructive criticism from a a graphics guy. I know you have to work around copyright stuff too. The work you've done here is fantastic and anyone doing a Prince doc should consult you. I'm fan going back to 82 and know a LOT about our guy but you've taught me new stuff, especially with the interview snippets.
Prince is incredible because he had focus on the big and small end of the music industry. He could play and write any style of song. But maybe his best ability was his live playing. A gifted natural at any instrument he touched. His guitar playing and solo ability was top notch. He was musically the complete package, no one else was like him.
I saw Prince the first time Live back in 1986. Madison Square Garden. This was a treat to see. August of 1986 Madison Square Garden. So seeing this brought back memories of the PARADE TOUR. The second time was Sign O the Times 1987 in Europe.
