Thank you! I've always had my mechanic reset that reminder and this time around I had a quick oil change (first time since buying the LS430 brand new in 2006) at a quick lube place, so I needed to figure out how to do that reset myself. Super easy. You ARE "da man!" 🙂

Thank you! Just bought a 2006 lexus ls 430 with 155,000. Busy changing out all the suspension components, except for the air struts, which for now are good. Changing all fluids, some multiple times (transmission and power steering), and changing all filters (even the small ones under the seat), including the fuel filter. Nice comfortable ride with plenty of power. Also had to adjust headlights and replace hood and trunk struts.
I have to re watch this every time to remind me how to do it. Thanks man!

Works!... my 05 ls430 has 3 trip odometers... 2 that have miles and one that does not. I used the one that does not have any miles. Be sure to continue holding it in until the VSC display clears.
Worked great on my 05 (doesn't have smart key). Side note, making sure the trip computer is not displaying is key! Great video thanks !

It fucking worked! I don't know how long it will stay off, but it worked. The VSC light is off!
Just FYI you dont have to hold it down when you turn the key off only when you turn the key to the on position.

So I had this come up on my LS430 and I got codes P0446, P0455, P0441, and P2418. I think that issue may have just been from the gas cap being loose. If I reset the codes and it ends up being something else, will the lights come back on?

Just did the oil and did the usual reset the oil and filter via the option menu on the radio if you have nav, click info, maintenance and then engine oil, reset, then oil filter and reset and thought it should be fine after.
Nope.. You think with all the information you mentioned that it would reset it but it does not. They design it like that so that you would have to go to the dealership and have them reset it for you. Thanks to the internet we can share this information and cut them completely out.

I have a 2001 LS430 with 104k miles. Dash light indicates that a tail lamp is out but all lights seem to be working. Will your method of resetting maintenance due light work to turn off my tail lamp warning light?
Unfortunately I can't answer that question but I would think it would not help. I've had a tail light issue before but the LED in my top right-hand corner went out so I just ordered a used one off eBay as a replacement. Make sure none of your LEDs are out that's what may be causing the light to turn on.
What about the vsc check and engine check written their…will it work in the same reset button

I drive 60 miles to and from work. That's why I get good gas mileage. Mainly hwy miles. I also use a can of B-12 in my gas tank 2x a month. Works great. I change my own oil. I use mobile 1 fully Synthetic with a Lucas Synthetic Oil treatment. I know its over doing it but it works wonders for my engine.
Hi. Can I ask a question? Everything is fine with my LS430 but one issue. If somebody sits in the passenger seat, the airbag alarm lights (red). Without a passenger, everything is fine. But once somebody sits there, airbag alarm lights. If it lights, all airbag including driver seat's do not work. I talked with the mechanics but they dont know how to fix it. Do i have to replace the passenger occupancy sensor? Or is there any way to bypass passenger occupancy sensor? Please help me. (Because of that, my wife always sits in the back seat, which make me look like a chauffeur. :/
It's probably just a faulty sensor. Check out the lexus forms online to see if anyone else has heard of this issue. Hope that helps.

I have a 2005 LS430 did all you said and afterward the check VDC and I turned it of and when I turned it back on the Maint was still there with the check engine light on as well???
Hmm try to clear the message with an obd2 reader and clear the code your received and then follow the steps. I have a 2004 should work the same way.
What is an obd2 reader?
@@bobsumrall5512 Google OBD2 scanner.... Or go to your local Autozone and they can do a free scan for you and tell you what the code your car is showing on the computer mean.

@@sh0kwerm you have to remove the cover with the carpet on it and you will see it. Just pull it off and you will be able to see the bulb
Open the truck and you will see the carpet on the truck lid. The sides are removable

Is your sunroof close all the way. I just noticed when I left my sunroof open and I turn my car off I seen the red triangle warning symbol I close the sunroof and it went off. Hope that helps
