- This "Pyramid of Rhythms," entitled, "Sira," was performed by the students of Mamady Keita's 2011-2012 drum camp on January 13, 2012 in front of his home near Conakry, Guinea. Master djembefola Mamady Keita composed this piece in memory of his mother, Nasira. The students opened for Ballet Djoliba, the National Ballet where Mamady performed for 22 years. Thanks to Aguibou Kouyate' for filming this video.
Full of divine energy. thank you.

Mamady Keita merece todo o respeito e consideração de todos os percussionistas do mundo.
Amazing and Inspiring! ❤️
Bon travail ! :)
Thank you! This was a life-changing challenge or me. Performing in front of the Masters (both Mamady and Famoudou), the Mayor, and the Ballet!
Thank you for posting this, very inspiring to see. In our community, all we have are " geriatric or youth or " community center" drumming circles that I call " wrist slapping".. forget about drumming, rhythm, let alone Mandigue rhythms or the traditions behind the djembe. It also reflects on what I already intuitively sensed about Mamady , the caliber of teacher and caliber of his students, bravo.
One note on the translation, Mamady says, " I swear that my students will play with all their heart"..no doubt a very special and life-changing event!
