Just a heads up, if you really want to lose altitude you can do an emergency descent. You put the aircraft in a 45 degree bank and hold right at the edge of the yellow band. No pulling on the yoke to keep the wings unloaded at that speed. It's a commercial maneuver and it works great. An alternative is the steep spiral which you can look up here on youtube. Excellent flying man! Can't wait to get this game.
THANK YOU, Blu Games dude! You just did a wonderful job of showing how great FS2024 can be, immersive and fun as heck. I've been wading through all the vitriol on RUclips regarding the launch and it's quite irritating to me. I had no illusions that it would start out smoothly and will wait even a couple weeks before I get the sim. Thanks again for reminding me of how much I've been looking forward to this. MSFS 2024 appears to be all I'd hoped MSFS 2020 would be. Subbed.
Blu, I’ve never watched a 3 hour stream until I watched your 2024 campout vid yesterday. That video and this one has gotten me so excited for the potential of MSFS2024.
Should have started your business first - you end up gaining $30-100K per mission and the same XP. Granted you get stuck in the sight seeing business for awhile until you get enough money for another business, but it's the fast track to all your certs.
I watched a streamer get a “taxi without clearance” deductions while he was fully stopped in the position hold box. I flew the exact same mission and the exact same thing happened to me in the same spot lol.
Cool video, had a short stint doing this kind of flying about 10 years ago in Australia in a Cessna Caravan and a Cessna 206. Pretty Accurate apart from the convos from the jumpers 😂 Nicely done!
Yeah with door-off ops you can only really hear three things…the engine, the wind and the stall horn after engine cut unless you shout. They talk about “pulling the cord” lol sounds like they’re using the old T10 ex-army free-fall rigs which actually did have ripcords for the main and front mounted reserve rather than a modern throw-away or pull-out pilot chute on a ram air ‘square’. Those old military free-fall rigs with round parachutes gave wickedly hard openings at terminal velocity…no fancy slider-enabled smooth deployment…just pull and Bang! Knacker crackers we used to call them.
Nice, I just did the same mission. But in decent, I followed in the blue rectangles. Took AGES! And in the end, I got a MASSIVE penalty for taking too much time 😂 Everything else was perfect. But the time took too long simply because I did what touse blue path indicators showed. This system is kinda confusing. Should we follow them? Should we ignore them? Odd. But the mission was fun.
Same here. When following the blue rectangles, it took way to long and you get a huge penalty. Kinda odd. Why are the blue rectangles there then? Kind odd, it's not clear when to strictly follwing them, and when to ignore them.
You can't do a power-off descent like that!! Rapid cooling will crack the cylinder heads. You need to keep power on and spiral descend. Sim is totally unrealistic.
Quick question, have you seen issues with random loss of control (randomly, during camera movement) so far? I’ve lost so much rep. I’ve also found that some airports spawn lanes in buildings counting it as a crash, so if u can’t see ur plane don’t do the mission
How are you moving the camera around? Are you using a controller or a yoke and controller? I have a joystick the honeycomb and a Xbox controller and I cannot move the camera in the cockpit and also have the tobii for headtracking and that doesn't work either just eye tracking but that's annoying
Blu, have you noticed the 172 feels a bit different? It takes off a bit too quick but also takes a lot of power to get moving and is hard to turn. I got into my ol trusty DA40 NG and it was horrendous! Takes off by 40kts and I'm landing it without a stall at 31! These 2020 conversions are. NOT good! I'm going back to 2020 for now. Did you notice your climb rate during the video? This tipped the scales for me and I want a refund!
wait you cant take those assists boxes off in career mode? I was actually upgrading 2020 to 2024 because of career mode, i cant have that, are you sure in these flights with smaller planes doing tasks these aids are always on? cheers
I have a question, the liveries of the traffic in 2024 aren’t showing up. Are they supposed to show up or is this a bug? The planes look just like the 2020 😢
It’s fun to exit a Cessna rolled in a ball with a forward somersault then hold that position for a few seconds. It was a part of the old ‘category’ progression training on ‘unstable exits’ back in the day…good fun. You could actually feel the ‘going off a cliff’ falling sensation which you don’t normally feel on a regular skydive…unless that is you start a zero-lift tracking dive straight down…and that’s about as exciting as life can get
Exactly, the voices are so total shit. its like one thing microsoft entirely forgot to think about Surely someone heard it and went, what the fuck is that.
@@IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-q1bI am so tired of those stupid “don’t do it then” replies just because someone dared to criticize something that is obviously absolute crap. Now shut down your damn PC and learn how to DEAL with CRITICISM!
Msfs did a horrible job in career mode. For starters 172s are not skydive planes. Turboprops are used for it not piston aircraft and for good reason it struggles to get to target altitude because how little power it has. Also in career mode it tends to ding you for things it shouldn’t like not calling before over flying an airport when you didn’t even over fly any airport. It also dings you for flaps when you’re in the white arc saying you were too fast for flaps when you clearly were not. It has a lot of bugs it needs to fix.
@ Cessna does not make a 172 in jumpers configuration. If you did jump out of one it must have been heavily modified because a standard 172 empty will struggle to get to jumping altitude so with jumpers it makes it even worse. Look in the video when he was at cruise he was like 2 knots away from stalling. That’s why they are not used in this configuration. I have never in my life seen a 172 take people up to jump. When I did this mission my stall horn was going off constantly.
I’ve logged hundreds of jumps from a piston aircraft - Cessna 207. The club also operated a turbocharged Cessna 206 which got up to altitude way faster so was preferred by experienced jumpers. We only hired turboprops over competition weekends when the Club had a ton visitors from other DZs
@@GenXpatPaul a 207 is not a 172. A 172 is a training aircraft it’s not designed to go up to high altitudes for jumpers it doesn’t have the power to do so. Difference is the 172 at its strongest has 180 horsepower and the 207 has 300.
@@BigD-t1uYeah I know the difference between them, I’ve flown 172s on 3 continents and still rent (and fly) one a couple of times a year out of Best Ocean Airpark to cut the journey time down to Hua Hin.
Also one more thing a 172 can’t go 150-160 indicated that’s over speed for that aircraft and I don’t know why your speed tape is different than mine. It won’t let me get over 120 without being in the red. Max speed for a Cessna is 120 knots and that’s with the throttle 100 percent. Also how did you not stall on approach doing 45 knots? That is way past stall speed for a 172. A 172 stalls at about 60 knots. There were so many wrong things in this video.
Different 172 versions (and conditions) will be slightly different of course but normally you could expect a yellow-arc cruise in non-turbulent air of somewhere around 122 knots / 140 mph IAS with a redline / Vne of 163 kts / 187 mph.
They couldnt even be bothered to build that into the game? No free fall view of the skydivers, no parachute opens to see, and no getting to watch the parachuters land. Lazy ass 😂

Thank you I will try this in my next skydive mission in the caravan. They keep complaining im too slow
This is actually how most real life pilots do it at a DZ

To remove career assists, in controls search for toggle visual assistances display. I have it assigned to a button I rarely use.
Thanks so much!!! I got it mapped to a hot key now. So much better
Blu, I’ve never watched a 3 hour stream until I watched your 2024 campout vid yesterday. That video and this one has gotten me so excited for the potential of MSFS2024.
It would be cool if skydiving was a multi-player option. The skydivers get graded on spot landings, while the pilot gets graded as its currently done.
Level 44, grinding a little bit to get to lvl 50 to unlock the jet airline missions as employee. Then is starting the own fleet :)

Looks like a familiar area to me, looks like Rosas, Empuria Brava airfield. Nice place for spending your holidays.
Yea beautiful area

My favorite part of career mode so far is losing points due to overspeeding the flaps at 0 knots on the ground.

But the mission was fun.
Haha wow
You can turn them off, one of the default buttons on the honeycomb alpha yoke toggles the assistants
so thats how to do it, i always loose bonus points for not making it in time, ima try to just dive down after aswell

Visiual assistance toggle on/off. Key bind it- mine is set to ctrl-shift-a . It will turn off. Your welcome
wow is this Empuriabrava? I have a planespotting vid from there of their sky diving operations!
Jumpers look little bit unrealistic but it's a 🎮 game. I jumped many times from 172, and caravan 208 this summer and now I wanna get a pilot license

Do you have your CPL and if not what license do you have?
(in game ofc)

You may need to to turn them on in your online settings
@ It’s on, but it just shows the default 2020
can you remove those markers after the drop cause theu are not immersive at all
My jumpers came out but I couldn't see them.

They probably dont, if you can morph thru a wheel then physics doesnt apply to you.

Can u do search and rescue to!!?
