    Just bought a pair of the 100mm for my Kyosho Outlaw . I’m using them as duals in the back . I’ve got a pair of 100mm Kings on there now and the Bilsteins will be the the extras for the duals . I’m going to run them oilless with Losi 50 weight in the Kings 👍🏻

      That sounds like a really good build.

    Nice video. I just picked up the new Gmade Sawback Military Jeep. It’s my first leaf spring r/c vehicle. I bought because I like old Jeeps. I have the Axial SCX 2 Cherokee with a Comanche body on it. It’s been upgraded here and there. Enough to make me look a better driver than I am. I’m gonna test out the Sawback. But I’m thinking it’s going to need real shocks. I already swapped tires and rims.

      I saw a few of those GMade. They looked like decent rigs.

    do you have a vido of how to rebuild theas shocks?

  • @MatthewJohns-p9m

    Can you run these just as a shock with no spring? I am planing a swperate coil so won't need the internal spring.

    • @scalefreakgaming
      @scalefreakgaming  Год назад +1

      I think you can, but RC4WD also has options of dampers without springs. It would be cheaper and look more scale to get those.

      @scalefreakgaming I'll have to do a bit more research I think 🤔

      @@MatthewJohns-p9m and that’s the hard part. There are so many amazing products out there now, you never know which will be the right one.
      But, most of it is amazing. And it all comes down to the rule of cool. Buy what fits your build the best.

    Hey Joe do you know if I can run those Bilsteins with no spring in them? I put them on my Gmade Military Jeep and lost flex. The stock shocks were just internal springs with factory leaf springs?

    • @scalefreakgaming
      @scalefreakgaming  5 лет назад

      Yes, of course you can. Then it will just be a Normal shock with no spring. You will need the trucks springs to push back

    On my TF2 build i have been using the G2 shock towers great mod. What drive shafts are you running? On your tf2. And what are your thoughts on the K44 axles from RC4WD under a TF2 and D90?

    • @scalefreakgaming

      I would love to get those for my truck. Just not in the budget right now

      Drive shafts are the RC4WD Punisher shafts

    I have these on my trx4 shock body down for lower CG. i have 100’s up front and 90’s in the rear because of my mount positions. The front ones get hung up when compressed. Any ideas?

      I always rebuild my shocks and lube the o-rings with AE Green Slime. It has been the most successful for me against the shaft getting stuck.
      Alternatively, make sure you clean out the inside of the shock body really well to make sure there is no residue inside the shock body that might be pinching the piston.

      @@scalefreakgaming I’ve rebuilt them. Haven’t lived the rings with that green stuff. Where do you get it?

    And have you looked at the Front shackle reversal kit from RC4WD link store.rc4wd.com/Reverse-Mount-Spring-Hanger-Conversion-Kit-for-TF2-and-TF2-LWB_p_7129.html

      I have, I don’t run bumpers, so those front mounts will hang down really far and interfere

      @@scalefreakgaming i just installed them haven't run the truck yet but i thought it would look much better in scale appearance than the stock setup. I do run a front bumper. I am just wondering on what your thoughts where about this product.
