Interaction in the fruit stall was so genuine so authentic it is 100% Sri Lankan hospitality. He was saying in Sinhala that you gave him 500rupees in the morning also so he cant accept any tips this time.
The couple of friends who run the fruit stall seem to be really nice and good for the tourism industry. What a contrast to the horrible man who asked you to go away from his or someone else's stall just because you said the price of that food he tried to sell you was so expensive!

In your first dish sir. Which you ate sir. It is called local Sri lanka Rice and curry . In there are Red colour dish is beetroot curry. How it's made ( peel off the beetroot skin and cut it beetroot into midden size then add slightly cut onions, garlic, curry leaf, curry powder and coconut milk finally boiled it ) Yellow dish is dhal curry ( common and famous dish in sri lanka, first washing dhal then add onions, garlic, curry leaf and coconut milk then boiled it again)
He wasn't nasty I have been to his shop, dude gave the price for the biggest portion available not the regular and that came off as expensive. He wasn't trying to scam no one, he got hurt cuz he was the owner and emeka avoided him and asked the workers for the price. I been to India as well, man….. that place need to change, full on fraud… I went like 12 years ago and bought some painting and it costed me $1500 and then then the same painting on the next store, they said $150. Can you believe it? He charged me 10 times more. I am Sri Lankan born lived most of my life is canada, I assumed India would be similar to srilanka, so I started trusting the people but that’s not the case…. That place will never change
