There's something about JJK's general character dynamic of "this main cast is entirely comprised of hyper-gifted badasses but put them in close proximity to each other and literally every single braincell slides off their head" that would be excellent for a shoujo romcom
Three words: Revolutionary Girl Utena. It’s got everything! Flowing dresses, duels, several characters that can bent to an extreme in design, sexual men, slapping, repetitive animation bits…it’s a great time. You should, just, y’know, draw it or whatever.

I think shojo fans are just tired of the romance genre being conflated with all shojo (whereas all shojo is not romance). HiroMiya is considered a shonen-romance (which is why I found it so boring but couldn’t place why I felt that way …😅) Also sorry if this sounded too ~um actually~ I just really love shojo and am upset there isn’t more of it being adapted/translated

this is definetely my female related obsession right here, i constantly draw traditional and convert to digital very often because i trust my sketches a lot more on paper, and things seem finished a lot quicker than they do on digital... 3 hours on a traditional full piece is like one hella big detailed piece but 3 hours on digital feels like I've done nothing and its some raw boring sh!t. But digital makes it easier to work on more complex compositions with angles and background and you can get comissioned internationally so... both are great, but my confy zone is traditional and I love watching Karina coloring❤❤

Everyone is absolutly amazing but I just realized again, Karina has an incredible eye for other artstyles. I don' have the right words in english but she is really really good in drawing other styles?
I like these because they gives us speeddraws more often and gives them a chance to do suggestions they might not want to do as a full group. I don't want the episode style to become the only thing they do, but it seems like a good choice scheduling wise for them. And there is nothing to stop them from going back to a theme and have someone else do it later. They could maybe have a month where they all go back and do suggestions they didn't get to do that year or something.
Honestly this is genius for when you need to build up you backlog without giving yourself an extra long day. Filming three separate one person episodes like this. Can't think of a good coffee pun for a show like this. But I think of one of toughs coffee shots.
If I saw this as a Twitter Post teasing a new Shoujo release, I would not blink twice. This is some professional level stuff you just knocked up, it looks SO GREAT I love it.

i have to agree, the shorter bites (of coffe grounds i guess?) of the speed draws are easier for me, more focussed on one person, one process and just a little bit more neat, i think
I actually have had so much trouble getting used to drawing digitally that I end up just doing all my art traditionally. My current favorite medium is definitely ink and "copics" though I use a more affordable brand. Seeing Karina break into the markers and seeing everyone's positive reactions to it really makes me happy. I do wish I had a scanner so that I could share the pieces I make in decent quality. I've been channeling a lot of drawfee energy into my drawings lately.

Mixing the traditional media with digital, gives an amazing amount of depth to the piece, and visually separates the two halves in a very cool way. It would be amazing to see an anime using these two styles. I’m imagining something like The Matrix, where there’s a digital world and the real world, but when the characters are in the digital world, they’re rendered in the traditional media style, and while in the real world rendered digitally. It would be very cool to see, but will probably never happen because of the time involved lol

Everyone is absolutly amazing but I just realized again, Karina has an incredible eye for other artstyles. I don' have the right words in english but she is really really good in drawing other styles?

these episodes are very fun, but i do prefer the more long-form eps. would love to see interpretations of these prompts from everyonee
I like these because they gives us speeddraws more often and gives them a chance to do suggestions they might not want to do as a full group. I don't want the episode style to become the only thing they do, but it seems like a good choice scheduling wise for them. And there is nothing to stop them from going back to a theme and have someone else do it later. They could maybe have a month where they all go back and do suggestions they didn't get to do that year or something.

Honestly this is genius for when you need to build up you backlog without giving yourself an extra long day. Filming three separate one person episodes like this. Can't think of a good coffee pun for a show like this. But I think of one of toughs coffee shots.

i have to agree, the shorter bites (of coffe grounds i guess?) of the speed draws are easier for me, more focussed on one person, one process and just a little bit more neat, i think

I actually have had so much trouble getting used to drawing digitally that I end up just doing all my art traditionally. My current favorite medium is definitely ink and "copics" though I use a more affordable brand. Seeing Karina break into the markers and seeing everyone's positive reactions to it really makes me happy. I do wish I had a scanner so that I could share the pieces I make in decent quality. I've been channeling a lot of drawfee energy into my drawings lately.

Mixing the traditional media with digital, gives an amazing amount of depth to the piece, and visually separates the two halves in a very cool way.
It would be amazing to see an anime using these two styles. I’m imagining something like The Matrix, where there’s a digital world and the real world, but when the characters are in the digital world, they’re rendered in the traditional media style, and while in the real world rendered digitally.
It would be very cool to see, but will probably never happen because of the time involved lol

Everything about this is my favorite thing ever. I also grew up on a heavy diet of shoujo manga and Full Moon is my favorite as well! Karina absolutely NAILED the style, took me straight back to middle school in the best way.
