I live in Maine also and me and friend got on a stocked trout pond caught 30 brookies through the ice Sunday, all between 7-14 inches. Kept 3 a piece cause they choked it but let the rest go!
Right! 😂 that’s always the running joke when we fish stocked trout ponds. One year we heard a crew of guys screaming across the lake every time they got a “native”

Nice to see people on the ice. With the finicky winter weather I'll be river fishing for a while. I hope we get a solid freeze spell this year.
Im keeping my fingers crossed that we have good ice this year. Tomorrow is gonna be 50° here in Maine
