Rusty Fuzz delivers those vintage silicon-based fuzz tones of yesteryear that we’ve all come to know and love, but at a price point well below that of vintage gear so everybody can play along. From silky-smooth sustain to ripping velcro-fuzz tones, it’s all there! So whether you’re experienced or not (see what we did there?), this compact true bypass pedal is sure to cover your old-school fuzz needs.
Some of the comments below people say this video doesn't do it justice. What! It actually sounds better than you've made it sound!? The tones you've got out of it have sold it to me. Sounds beautiful.
I own this Fuzz and this video doesn't do it justice. This is my favorite fuzz pedal and it can mimic my favorite fuzz tone, the Hyper Fuzz FZ-2. Tore's playing a lot of rock/classic rock here, but this pedal is very gritty like a Hoof or a Pharaoh and good for doom/stoner/sludge. He should've had the guys from Monolord do a demo for it!
It's really cool although one thing that is a downside is that the volume knob has to be at max almost all the time to match the clean signal volume
i concur
Just bought one yesterday , exceeds my expectations. Build quality is great , the only thing that really stands out to me is the switch. It’s not the typical heavy “ click “ when you switch it. The switch is very light , I almost thought it was broken when I unpacked it because of this. I’ll definitely be taking a closer look at more TC pedals after this purchase , outstanding performance for its price range!
Great fuzz, i love mine between a wah and a tubescreamer. Amazing with both singles and humbs. ;)
I have mine before Boss SD-1 m. Sounds EPIC 🎉
Who in their sane mind would record the bare sounds of the strings when demoing a pedal? What the hell guitar center
i think they just let toren's voice mic on. not very smart
There musn't be a pro audio section at this GC, and if their is, they're hanging their heads in shame.
🤣🤣🤣🤷🏽♂️

Great fuzz pedal.
Just bought one! So excited for it to come!!
you can't test pedals out at guitar center, they stopped doing that at the one I go to
Pretty Pro looking demo but why can I hear the acoustic Sound of the guitar as well ? That should be edited out
I can hear the acoustic sounds of the strings in my left headphone, it's really annoying.
I think once the drummer hits the snare drum that rusty fuzz sound will magically disappear lol
Eq to taste.
Thanks Tore. I'm gonna git me one! The reviews are better when you play the guitar.
It's ok to play stoner doom with low tuning?
Sounds f.....g awesome!
Μάνος Καραμάνος u
i'll use my rusty wooden double stick twin turbo strings to rock on.
Can be used on a precisicion bass?
Can be used on anything that runs through a 1/4" jack. Who's gonna stop you, the fuzz police?
Set the fuzz to max...and yer good to go. 👍
Bridge!.... for the love of god, bridge pick up!
HI, great video. I bought it second hand and I really like it, best fuzz for the money I think.
But, to the other rusty fuzz owners too, is it normal that to match the input volume that I have when the pedal is off, I have to put the volume minimum at 3 o'clock with the pedal on?
When I tested the pedal for the first time, volume on the pedal was at 12 'oclock, and that gave me a great volume loss when turning on the pedal.....is it normal or my pedal is fautly?
It seems to work properly and it has a great sound, but with volume at noon there's a great volume loss. THANKS!!
I have one, and there’s always a drop in volume. I bought mine new at Sam Ash around a year ago, and I always keep my volume knob either at 1 or 2 o’clock
Unrelated, but I have that exact same problem with my Metalzone, the pedal is significantly quieter than the amp I run it in. It didn't used to be that way, so I was thinking that maybe one of the gain stages got cooked with time.
As for your case, consider demoing it in any guitar stores around you and comparing the sound. You can even bring your rig with you, amp and pedal and all. If none are available, you can ask around rehearsal studios if they have one, you could try demoing it there, or borrowing a pedal off them for a day.
Sounds like a blanket
Sounds exactly like the tone I get out of pedals , terrible..... How about getting Gary Clark jrs tone or something useful..
Hendrix never used his fuzz face like this! It is strange that after so many years, most of the guys testing fuzz pedals, can't use them the right way.
Lol, the only "right" way to use fuzz is the way Jimi did. ;)
Can you elaborate?
@@alphanumeric1529 get fuzz faced with drugs and drown in vomit in a hotel room?
Someone please tell me how to power this pedal
With a battery
@@benasslick67 What battery
@@themaczter9024 you have to unscrew the enclosure and there's a slot for a 9v battery
Sounds like shit, exactly what I’m looking for lmao
The Hendrix part sounded nothing like Hendrix...
It's better than big muff ? I want John Frusciante sound
For Frusciante use a big muff for solos and BOSS DS-2 for rhythm. John uses an "English Muff'N" big muff model.
Stratocaster guitar, Marshall amplifier
check out dave simpsons channel, if you haven't yet, and you like john's tone, there's some great stuff on there
LotusSquid no, ds-2 and the big muff were being used as the same purpose, solo boost, he experimented with the muffs for a really short time, in the end he preferred DS-2 (which has a lot more mids)
His rhythm tone was most of the time clean-ish plexi / cranked at the edge of breaking up
Ds-2 is pretty gainy, how is it a clean tone ?
Come on, get to the higher notes already!
riffs are everything, solos are for pussies
Cancer Söze lol 🤣
sounds like warm fart!
And who doesn't enjoy a good warm fart now and then...very satisfying indeed! 😏+💨=🤮
@@F3502000 very uncomfortable when they're wet as well
I like big warm and dirty farts 💨
I dont need this.. my fart sounds the same, so my ass is my gear
Fusty😂👍
Nobody cares about The Ventures mid sixties fuzz tones anymore. Too bad.
You're not alone my friend! I would love some Maestro FZ1/ Mosrite Fuzzrite type fuzz but on budget platform as you can get all BMP, TS, FF type of pedals...
