Such a great list! Worker placement is my favorite genre and I own and love most of these. That said, this gave me a good excuse to get Raiders of Scythia, AND I have been curious about Circadians for a while but I almost never see anyone mention it. I adore Garphill so I should have known it'd be good.
My picks, some of them being imho somewhat under the radar, underrated gems: - Red Outpost - Creature Comfort - Transcontinental (much more than just worker placement...) - Mint Works - The Gallerist - White Castle
Hey great videos! just discovered you today from the small box list. Lots of stuff in your video's I haven't come across. You may want to have a google of how linear is pronounced though haha. Cheers
Haha, my friend has made fun of my pronunciation of linear before, scolding me for lin-ear being used instead of lin-ee-er. I'll get it right one of these days. Either way, welcome and thank you! (Just maybe avoid the Root app version review where I mistakenly called it an adaption instead of adaptation and apparently every viewer needed me to know. We'll just chalk it up to a learning opportunity or commentary on the Alaskan education system LOL)
I could not agree more on Agricola. I’d add Underwater Cities to the mix. Also, the expansion is incredible and I have not even tried all of the modules.
Love architects of the west kingdom with both expansions. Not top of my list but godfather is a fun theme for a worker placement. And Stone Age gets a mention because it was my first worker placement.
The best WP game I have ever played has to be Barrage, and with the expansion The Leeghwater Project it becomes exceptional!!! Best game in my collection
@@TheCardboardHerald and soo refreshing to have someone say that you don't HAVE to have Tuscany! i have both, but the base game is excellent as is - although you would never know that to hear the way other reviewers speak of it.
I don't have most of the games that you mention, exception Viticulture and Dune: Imperium, which I also enjoy tremendously. Beyond those, and based on what I do have, I've also enjoyed Empires of the North (not sure if it really qualifies as a Worker Placement game?) as well as Paladins of the West Kingdom (which is a Garphill game).
Thanks for another great video, Jack! Do I need Raiders of Scythia when I already own Raiders of the North Sea with both expansions? I'm very curious to check out Circadians First Light. My favorite Worker Placement games are Stone Age, Architects of the West Kingdom, Underwater Cities, Agricola and Lords of Waterdeep.
You’re welcome, and no you don’t need both though personally I prefer the theme and it consolidates some of the material from the North Sea expansions and the base game. Def too much overlap to keep both though. Thanks for the kind words; cheers from Alaska!
Nice list… my only problem with viticulture is the contracts are too swingy. I strongly feel there should be a lettering system based on how many rounds players have gone. I have played this a lot and have lost and won this game. But most people that have lost in my experiences with it lost because they get lesser payout with the contract
Actually I made a whole vid about my recent (and former) thoughts on it titled “Falling Out of Love of Midgard”. Here’s a link but long story short I’ve played it many many times and while I’ve owned and loved it I grew out of it where some of these other games I’ve not grown out of in the same number of plays or amount of time. ruclips.net/video/Fu5VEntrBdg/видео.html

I sold Agricola and got Caverna, then reaquired Agricola and sold Caverna. The struggle is real. But I'm firmly on team Agricola now.
You and me both!
Same. The cards just elevate it. I sold caverna and havent looked back.

The ONLY reason I can imagine Dwellings of Eldervale isn’t on here is because you haven’t played it? Best worker placement ever!!
I agree with you

Viticulture is my favorite too. But I love wine.
Just started the video but wanted to note that shirt is awesome!
It’s one of my faves!
Champions of midgard
Lost ruins of arnak
Rajas of the ganges are some of my favorites not mentionned
Love architects of the west kingdom with both expansions.

Great list! I agree with Viticulture, it's just such a smooth system.
I know, right? The game just flows.

@@TheCardboardHerald Thank you for the quick reply. I really appreciate it!
Good list. I would add Genotype, The Loop, Honey Buzz and Obsession to the mix.
Ya gotta try Empires: Age of Discovery. My favorite game period.
The perfect worker placement imo
I've added it to the list!

Any thoughts on Champions of Midgard?

@@TheCardboardHerald Nice! Watching right now :D
I own lords of waterdeep which is my all time favorite ,dune imperium and stone age which didnt make your list but i agree with it.overall good list
nice list!
For me Anachrony, Bitoku, Crystal Palace, Barrage, Trickerion and Feast for Odin join Viticulture, Ciracadians, Everdell and Marco Polo.
Kanban EV. #1
Lost ruins of arnak and Atlantis rising
Yes! Atlantis Rising! really looking forward to the expension too
Viticulture ⚡️
No Feast for Odin? Denied! It combines worker placement with Tetris!
Agreed - give a Feast for Odin a try!
Too many fiddly bits and too massive of a setup for me. I love the concept tho
