Would you think a freight broker agent would need to be armed with the licenses and filings from the company they are representing to present to potential customers?
If they aren’t they can’t do their job properly. When an agent has a new customer in our brokerage they connect them with our accounting team and we complete the onboarding process from headquarters. All agents have access to licenses insurance and registrations just in case they are urgently needed. Shipper agreements should always be signed by the company principles not the agents.
@@luisuribe406 I want to sincerely say that your videos are exceptional. I was a driver for 20 years and a broker agent for 3 until i just started my brokerage. I lwatxh your videos all the time. It is good people like you that make the difference in America. Your experience and education is priceless .
Thank you Dan I appreciate that. I think we need to promote drivers and brokers working together and brokers need to learn how to take care of drivers. My dad actually started our family brokerage 25 years ago after working on the warehouse dock, before I took over and from day 1 it was a driver first mentality that I am trying to promote today. There is plenty of room for everyone to eat. Please don’t hesitate if you have some topics you like to have covered I have another video I am releasing today or tomorrow!
@@freightskills how about a indepth video or a series od videos all on how amd why shippers need brokers. Becusse when i call amd a shipper emails me. They always put the broker as last priority. It seems that shippers think brokers are parasites in a way. How do shippers big medium and small think of brokers and why? Why do they need broker's? Shippers know that carriers also do not always provide the best rate and serice. When a. Carrier cancels a tender the fall out from the the shippers customer and the shipper is not good. I like to tell shippers when i have a chance. That my one part of mh goal is to make your customers happy with being on time. So the shiper knows that im looking at the bigger picture.

luis. i have 3 shippers , all that ithey asked for my broker packet. they had me quote and we spoke many times on the phone. they all told me that they semt my packet into corporate. so when i email weekly and call them every 2 weeks. and it has been over 1.5 months wating on these shippers toget back to sending me loads. they say my carrier point is acting up. or i dont have any news back yet. i will keep you updated etc. all bullshit u ntil the tenders start to be sent to me. it seems all talk. but they do not seem as they are liars but kicking the can down the road to set me up. i was tld this is common and they will.get to me when they have time or when there is a emergency. but why would they string me allong? why would they tell me stories like thier carrier point is acting up? 🤔 one shipper told me she would start with one load. then we can build from there amd you can get more loads. so what are your thoughts on this and can you do a series of videos on my experience here and why this maybe common with shippers? the shipper mentality would be good to cover. amd help your fans allot. when i was supposed to get the shipper whos carrier point was acting up 2 and 4 days later. she never returned my emails or callls. so i contacted another logistics manager at her facility and he told me to call her back next monday at 9am. luis. do you think that is a good mesage to me or will this shipper tell me to kick rocks? i fell of she was to tell me to kick rocks then she would of donr it week ago in a email. what do you think about making the series for videos and my situation that i hear is common? thank you

Thank you that's good to know, I will definitely be asking my firm for this because I do not want to be set up to fail. Thank you
What about the notice of assignment and your W9
Sure you can include that to when they request it, I don’t factor so notice of assignment wasn’t top of mind when I made this
